The Boathouse Restaurant & The Lodges at Cresthaven

s fantastic. It was wonderful to work with Jayne, Dan, and the entire Boathouse staff. Jayne always responded quickly to emails, and she was SO accommodating when it came to our many requests. I cannot imagine a better experience. Many of our guests stayed at the Lodges at Cresthaven, and everyone loved it. The grounds and lodges are beautiful and charming. I really can’t say enough about The Boathouse and the Lodges at Cresthaven. I would highly recommend both to anyone who wishes to have a beautiful wedding in an amazing setting.

Pictures on the docks at sunset (or any time we're sure) were gorgeous as well. Our coordinator Jayne was fantastic to work with and we would highly recommend that anyone host an event there!

ing with Dan, we both knew this place would be perfect. We had both the ceremony and reception there. Dan and Jayne were amazing to work with, they eased our minds with all our concerns and our day was perfect. We got lucky with the weather for the ceremony and cocktail hour (even though we had a back up rain plan). There was a crazy evening storm during the reception that caused a power outage, but we didn't even know! The restaurant ran on a generator the rest of the evening and we didn't find out until the next day! The food was fantastic and the Lodges at Cresthaven staff was great! Our guests and family were impressed with the staff and kept commenting on the amazing venue and scenery. We did have a lot of guests stay offsite, at a nearby hotel, and we utilized the Boathouse shuttle, which went smoothly and guests were very happy. I highly recommend this venue. We look forward to being able to go back to celebrate a future anniversary.

. The staff who worked that night were phenomenal and attentive. From setting up the beach location, to serving drinks to our crazy families, to helping at the end of the night - everyone was friendly and super careful with details! Our guests left the wedding complimenting the food and staff! That was such an honor for us!!!

pressed by the fact that we'd get the entire Boathouse restaurant for our guests and we wouldn't have to worry about food, setup, bar, staff...basically it covered most of what you'd expect from a destination venue. The location is as beautiful (if not more so) as it looks in pictures, and it was a perfect fall venue. The food was enjoyed by all of our guests, the wine was better than I expected (especially as a huge wino), and we had plenty of choices for open bar so that all the guests were really satisfied. BUT what really made my review a 5 start was the incredibly thoughtful and attentive staff. From the second we sent the first check they were extremely accommodating, responded quickly, and made sure I had everything I needed on my day. On the day itself, the staff made sure my husband and I had drinks, food, and knew what was going on every single step of the way. Thanks to them, I was not one of those brides who went hungry! I highly recommend this venue, this amazing staff will handle so much of your to-do list and really help you enjoy your special day. Plus, the pictures are amazing!

bin-esque lodges are modern but rustic. There are lake activities, a half indoor / half outdoor pool, and a great playground for little ones. It's also extremely convenient for the guests to be able to stay at the Cresthaven Lodges (timeshare on the property) for a long weekend and then attend the ceremony, reception, and next day brunch all at the same location (The Boathouse restaurant). They even had a golf cart that shuttled people around the property and even picked up one of our guests staying at the hotel across the street! Worth mentioning again that the property is gorgeous :) I can't stress enough what a pleasure it was working with Dan, Jayne, and Janice, who were our contacts for planning the wedding. They were incredibly flexile and accommodating and worked with us to make our vision come to life well within our budget. They were incredibly helpful during set-up and the event itself as well. We were especially grateful to have their amazing team running the show as we tried to balance entertaining our guests with a number of last-minute changes of plans due some rainy weather* plus an allergic reaction that I had during the reception from eating a nut-filled granola bar right before I walked down the aisle (my own fault!). The entire staff was so kind, flexible, and attentive, and their ability to not only go with the flow but help reorganize the flow saved our wedding. (*It was really important to me to have a great rain plan when booking a venue since I didn't want to be stressing about the weather. Our ceremony took place on the covered dock right on the water and was beautiful and intimate. The guests loved it and said it was very romantic!) In general, everything was so flawless and seamless - just absolutely perfect - but beyond that, there were also such nice unexpected touches. For example - we had a stacked tower of mini-Ben & Jerry's ice creams instead of a traditional cake, which the staff stacked up for us and immediately put into ice buckets to keep cold. They had never had this type of request before, but were just such "yes" people, they were not phased at all! In addition, they helped us order the most delicious cookies from a local vendor to supplement the ice creams, and then boxed up all of the leftover cookies into individual containers so the guests could take them on the way home without us even asking for this. How thoughtful! It's also worth mentioning that our guests had such positive feedback on the quality of service - many people remarked at how wonderful the servers and bartenders were, and my husband and I appreciated that all of them wished us genuine and heartfelt congratulations (and were so attentive to me when I was sick!). We also heard very positive unsolicited feedback about everyone's dinner. People enjoyed the food, especially being able to order chicken, fish, beef, or veggie the day of instead of being locked into their decisions months in advance. (Our gluten free and vegan guests were well taken care of by the staff, as well.) I am so thrilled that we chose the Boathouse for our special weekend. We all had an absolute blast. We would absolutely recommend the venue to others.
