We worked with Emma from our engagement photos all the way up through wedding day and I am so dang happy that we had her on team. She was so easy to work with, always going above and beyond to make me feel at ease, she settles wedding jitters and makes you laugh and really gets to know you...you aren't just one of many with her. You mean something and it shows! Aside from wanting her to be a lifelong friend of mine now (which tells you everything about her personality and the lovely person that she is) I also cannot say enough wonderful things about her work. On a cold December day, she took a bazillion photos and every single one came out GOLD. They are absolutely the most beautiful photos I've ever seen in my life, and I will always cherish them. She worked so hard yet you'd never know if she was ever stressed or tired or cold (although she totally had to be), she was too busy making us laugh and capturing us all perfectly! Before even contacting her, I had already fallen in love with her work. We loved her unique, candid, happy style. Her work seemed authentic and from her blurb on her website, I could already tell she was a fun-loving, happy person who was in love with her job. I contacted her straight away, she wrote back instantly and we organised a Facetime call a few days later (as my wedding was organised from overseas). My husband and I were on the phone to her for over an hour, chatting about our wedding and our vision and soon just about life and fun stuff. On the day of our wedding, Emma came with a huge smile on her face, open arms and so much excitement to start capturing the day. We had an instant connection and I felt like I had known her forever. She was easy going and so much fun to be around, but at the same time was able to arrange family and friends and tell everyone where they needed to be, in order to get the perfect shot. You need a photographer that can steer big groups of excited (drunk) people, while being friendly and upbeat and happy. She made us all laugh when taking photos and made me feel so special. Despite it being her billionth wedding, she was emotional during the sappy parts and it made my husband and I feel like she was there with us and no where else. It was not a job for her. She was in the moment and so happy to be there. She was so loved by all my family and friends. Everyone kept coming up to me and saying "omg your photographer is amazing!" After the wedding, at the airport on my way home from our honeymoon, I could not believe it when I received an email from Emma saying all our photos were ready for download. LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AFTER THE WEDDING!!!! I sat in the airport, and cried happy tears going through the photos. They were more than I could have ever dreamed. Emma captured moments of the wedding that were a perfect glimpse in time and a perfect record of the emotion and happiness that filled the room. Everything that I wanted captured, she captured and so much more. Its been a few weeks since the wedding, and I'm still going through the photos everyday, re-living it and noticing new things all the time. I learnt that on your wedding day, the people around you are so important. My day was surrounded by happy, loving people. Emma was the best decision we made. I wish we could do it all again. Some other photographers I’ve been around have been bossy and straight up mean, but our wedding party and I never once felt that from Emma, she keeps it light and lively. The location for our wedding party photos was set in the middle of a basin, surrounded by mountains, and Emma took the time to scout it out for us to make sure the spot was just right. The portraits of my wife and I were intimate and fun. Emma even went out of her way to bring New Years Eve themed party hats, glasses, and confetti, which helped make our pictures turn out even better. We look at the pictures now and wish for the chance to go back and re-do the whole day. Emma is a great friend and an even better photographer, my wife and I would highly recommend her to anyone. ur wedding day has some very intimate moments and the wrong person can feel intrusive and awkward. Emma felt like a supportive, calm friend (with a very important job to do) in the midst of emotional and stressful moments. She was focused and directive and somehow managed to herd us all into the right shots without it feeling overly managed. g through Instagram—we were both quite amazed at her body of work! After meeting her in person, our suspicions were confirmed: she was the perfect person for the job. During our first meeting, she listened carefully and intently to our vision of what we had envisioned for our wedding photos and the actual wedding itself. Emma gave us great feedback and suggestions for what we wanted, and we came away very assured of her ability to deliver. In the weeks and days leading up to the wedding, she responded to or inquiries and concerns in a timely manner, despite being on the road a lot! On the actual day of the wedding she was very punctual (very, VERY crucial) and brought a lot of positive and warm energy! She directed our family photos in such smooth fashion, despite some difficult children present (and let’s face it—what wedding doesn’t have at least one or two?!). Emma executed her craft so efficiently, that at times we hardly noticed she was there capturing all those precious moments, but she was! After the wedding we received the photos very quickly (we even got some shots back later that night!!) and we were simply just blown away at the result of her talent and hard work. Our wedding was a challenge to shoot, because most of it took place at night. This meantshe had to use flash photography for most of her shots. Nevertheless, she owned the task like an absolute rockstar and made us and our friends and family look like CELEBRITIES! We had a number of people raving about how our wedding looked like a glamorous Oscars party! Emma is someone who will go miles and miles above and beyond what you expect of a photographer.
