odern-artsy feel vs. the barn or ballroom. Cost is always a factor when planning a wedding and at one point we really thought we weren’t going to be able to make it happen. Well, it happened, July 13, 2019 my daughter wed the man of her dreams and had an absolutely stunning wedding at the Bond. I owe all the thanks to Megan Sellers who is the most amazing Venue Specialist and JDK Catering who makes the most phenomenal food! Having had some experience at wedding planning and décor myself, we did provide many of the decorations… but wait…I was absolutely blown away the day of the wedding…JDK also supplied additional decorations, candles, florals, uplifts to create an amazing and modern look on the food stations and other areas that needed a little sprucing up! Topping that they even matched all the food signage to the wedding colors. Megan, not just another pretty face, worked diligently, as did all the JDK staff, setting up the venue. Megan was very much in control of all the details and if there was a question, she verified with the bride or myself. She worked hand-in-hand with the officiant making sure the wedding party and family members were in check with where, when and how things were being done. What’s even more amazing… there was no charge for all the additional decorations or the role “wedding planner” Megan became the day of the wedding. With the amazing service, wedding planning, additional décor, amazing food, beverage service you absolutely have to check it out. This empty space of concrete, brick walls, dozens of paned windows and giant chandeliers becomes the most amazing beautiful space to make any bride’s dream come true!

e and made what could have been an incredibly stressful situation much easier. I cannot thank them enough for making our day absolutely perfect. Our guests had the best time, JDK catering was fantastic and the entire team made sure every detail was taken care of. Thank you, thank you!

traditional mindset, and The Bond didn't seem like an obvious choice to them. I had 150% confidence in the JDK group and Megan and the amazing team that works there. She helped us every step of the way, and her calming presence is seriously what every bride needs during the stressful moments leading up the wedding. The day of the wedding, ALL of my family's "traditional" feelings completely faded away. Every. single. guest. was BLOWN AWAY by how amazing the bond was, how amazing the staff was, and what a gorgeous venue it was. And that is the ultimate compliment. If you are on the fence about The Bond.. let me push you over that fence and into the arms of Megan and her team. You will not regret it for one second.

There is no doubt in my mind that we picked thee best place to have our wedding and will remember all of the wonderful experiences we had! The Bond will always hold a huge place in my heart!

ver, did not like that idea. Finally someone recommended The Bond to me and it was everything I’d ever dreamed of and it didn’t break the bank. The venue has the coolest vibe, it’s so industrial, but the light fixtures soften the look and make it so elegant! And I’ll also add that the natural light is to die for!!! Working with Megan was a breeze, she made us feel so comfortable and taken care of. She was with us from beginning to end and made sure that the day of was flawless. I was so sad to say goodbye to her when the wedding was over, she was such a big help and made all of our visions come to life! The only vendor we were required to use was for our meal, and believe me I was not mad about that at all!! The food was absolutely incredible and every single guest complemented the meal!

porary, not-a-hotel (we didn’t want a “hotel wedding”) or not-a-farm (we aren’t farm/country people), haha! The Bond was a perfect fit for our style and our wish to find a more urban setting. Unlike other couples, both my fiancé and I were equally active in choosing all of our wedding details. My husband was super excited about The Bond - the garage door that divides the cocktail hour space and the ceremony space was just way too perfect to pass as he’s a huge car guy. :-) We didn’t want a formal reception by any means and tossed away seating charts, seating down dinner time and a lot of other formalities that’s simply (for us) got in the way of partying, and Abby and Megan were amazing in helping us craft a menu that would fit in that vibe, be delicious (everyone loved the food!!!) and gluten free (celiac bride here). The space was set to be a party, with a mix of pub-height and lower tables (no head tables or sweetheart tables for us) that just made it perfect and relaxed and, most importantly, US. The industrial and contemporary vibe of the space was a beautiful backdrop for the decor (we hired Kate from Forte Florals and she created this modern and airy greenery geometric escape that we simply cannot describe in words) and we felt home the whole time. We had so much fun during our wedding. I didn’t have a single hiccup reported to me the whole day, neither did my husband. We were there just to enjoy ourselves, party with our most loved people in the world, and everyone at The Bond (including our lovely waitress that kept us fed and hydrated all night long) deserve all the credit in the world!

We are ecstatic to start our next chapter in May at such an incredible place, and would highly recommend that you check it out if you’re looking for a unique wedding venue!!!

The central location was perfect for out many out of town guests. I can’t say enough about the space, the team, and the food. Our day was perfection with barely a bump in the road and all my stress was handled seamlessly by Abby and team!

ond earlier in the year for 2018 Brides/Grooms for food tasting. The event was filled with foods, amazing decor ideas, and live entertainment. Our coordinator Abby was extremely knowledgeable and responsive with all our needs when we started the process. From vendor recommendations to actual planning she had us fully prepared. A few months before the wedding Abby went out on maternity leave (Congrats! - we missed her!) and JDK was beyond prepared for the quick changes and handed us off to Megan. She stepped right in and made our day completely flawless along with our JDK florist Erika. Both of them were nothing but helpful, friendly, and efficient throughout the entire process and accommodated all of our needs down to every last little decor detail we envisioned for our wedding day. I was completely in awe when I saw the ballroom for the first time that day. It was more than I had ever expected. The food was absoutely delicous and we got raving reviews from guests on the food from the evening from hors-d'oeuvre's to the main meal. We still have people asking about the sauces on our salmon and filet! Service during the event was on point from timeline to cleaning up the champagne glass my dad and I managed to knock over. Zero lines at the bar and bathroom - huge plus for a wedding! JDK and their team truly represents their business well as leaders in the wedding industry. I would recommend The Bond and JDK for catering and event design. Erika the florist/event design lead from JDK was unbelievable with her decor ideas and flowers. They accommodated 220 guests along with a 10 piece band and we didn't experience any hiccups the entire day. Amazing!!!!!

We received many compliments on the amazing quality of the food. It was obvious that the head chef and staff are committed to providing an excellent food experience. They take great pride in their craft, and it shows. The coordinating staff of Abbey, Erika, and Megan were great to work with. They were extremely organized, and eliminated all stress throughout the planning process. Attending planning meetings with them was enjoyable and exciting. We always left feeling confident that the wedding day would be perfect. Even though we knew what to expect of the ballroom, we were blown away by the final product. The flowers and decorations were amazing. The atmosphere of The Bond is great and unlike anything else in the area. I highly recommend using JDK Floral when having a wedding reception at the Bond (or anywhere else). Erika is an expert at her floral craft and decorating, and she knows The Bond better than anyone. All three of the ladies were excellent communicators and planners. We feel like we gained new friends through our planning process. Hopefully we can find a reason to have an event at the Bond in the future.

We were a bit hesitant to go with The Bond because it's a new venue, but trust me...they know their stuff! I was blown away at the attention to detail and professionalism of the staff. We've had the best comments from friends and family, some even saying it was the best wedding they've ever attended. Another great part...the free parking lot directly across from the venue. No need for guests to "find" city parking...it's all right there (and free!). Thank you Abby and The Bond for the best day (and best party) of our lives!

starting with the people. All of them are insanely nice and friendly, and the best part is, they are insanely good at their jobs. Abby, did an amazing job coordinating all things related to the venue. I have to say, my wedding was filled with tons of details (a lot of which I brought in) and she got it all perfectly. From the setup of the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, she was thorough, knowledgable and detail oriented. Erika- the florist. This woman is beyond talented. She not only built an insane backdrop i dreamed up but she added her own details throughout as well. If you have something specific you want, she will execute with perfection, but my advice is to give her inspiration and let her creativity take over and run free. you will not be disappointed. The Food- Fantastic. Everyone raved about it all. Originally I was a bit worried because you had to use their caterer, however, when you taste it, you wont be worried anymore. There are lots of options and the chef will also work with you to make your food everything you could imagine and more. They are also great with dietary restrictions! Some other great perks for this spot- -You provide your own alcohol. Originally, I thought this was not going to be good because I had no idea how much I needed, etc. But it actually was a huge cost saver. The staff was amazing about not opening anything before it was needed and at the end we were able to return what they didnt use. We had 150 guests and an open bar for the cocktail hour and reception and ended up costing us $9/ person with top shelf liquor and craft beer. AMAZING. -on site bride and groom suites- great spaces you can hangout in before the ceremony. Only down side is there isnt a bathroom in the bridal suite, but it didnt end up being an issue at all! -Great local places around the venue to capture awesome pictures -An amazing garage door that will fulfill all drama needed for the Bride's grand entrance. Over all, the Bond is a special place and the staff is incredible to work with. You wont regret having your wedding here.

but not much outside of that. Which is why we were ecstatic when we met with Abby Roche, who is the event coordinator for JDK Weddings at The Bond! It is just absolutely gorgeous and the perfect backdrop for those, "think outside of the box" couples! With JDK Weddings, you certainly get a very pleasurable, personal experience with wedding planning. This company takes great pride in the presentation and quality of the food and decor. We had a 4 course tapas style meal and were worried as to the potential size of the serving. Well, when we went for our food taste testing session, our concerns were easily quelled as the portion size was just about the same as a regular meal! We walked away with full bellies from that session! Abby was so easy to work with, as well. The Bond is a relatively new venue, as it opened its doors in May 2015, so Abby and the other folks from JDK Weddings really want this investment to succeed (and it shows). Abby was relatively responsive to her emails (as the wedding date approached she really picked up), had amazing suggestions with the table settings and over-all concept we were going for, and an easy-going, calm attitude. We had rented farmhouse tables from a local company and realized two weeks before the wedding that we ended up being one table short . Panicked, as that vendor did not have any to spare, Abby reassured that we could rent the farmhouse table JDK Weddings had from that same vendor. So we were able to maintain our soft romantic decor that was juxtaposed against the harsh industrial tone with that extra farmhouse table! Abby and The JDK Wedding Group are also very flexible, as they permitted us to leave some larger items behind for pick-up a couple days later. Come the wedding day, we received so many compliments from the guests about the venue. Given that the neighborhood that The Bond is located in, is not the greatest, Abby reassured that the side door would be locked and the gifts would be moved to inside the bridal room. They did just that. Also, the parking lot for The Bond is directly across the street with ample lighting. The guests and the bridal party felt very safe walking to the cars late at night. The ambiance inside The Bond was just beyond perfect, the servers were extremely attentive, and everything ran smoothly. Throughout the night, Abby would pop over to us, as well as our parents to check in and make sure there were no issues. There was easily enough space so that the guests were not bumping in to one another. The Bond offers two separate rooms for the bride and groom to change and relax in both before and during the celebration. The bridal room is huge with places to hang dresses, a wall with a mirror to apply makeup and do hair, as well as a mini refrigerator to keep drinks nice and cool. The bathrooms were huge and clean, while maintaining the industrial chic-look! We just cannot sing enough praises about this venue, the event coordinator, and the catering group. If you are a couple that likes to think outside of the wedding box, then this place is for you! It is a must come-and-see!
