ning and were extra flexible with our busy schedules. They basically assign a day of coordinator that’s included in the fees - a huge benefit. We worked with Brenden on planning ahead of time and he was wonderful and helped us secure our vision (trust his signature cocktail recommendations- he won’t led you astray and the best part is that they’re also included). Our day of coordinator was the brightest spot of all - thank you Alicia. I cannot say enough good things about her. During our rehearsal, she let us stay 10 minutes later and she arrived 15 minutes away on the wedding day. Our DJ wasn’t the best, so she also doubled as our announcer and second DJ. She kept us on time, quickly adapted when things inevitably went off schedule, and made sure the ceremony ran smoothly. Alicia helped me bustle my dress, ordered us our drinks, and stayed late night of to help us clean up. I cannot recommend the Boo Cat Club and Alicia enough!

ony and reception, while still feeling like you’re in different spaces. The rentals they offer are beautiful, and we got so many comments on how beautiful our wedding was. However, unfortunately that’s the end of our positive experience. In terms of the venue itself, there are a lot of additional costs and limited hours that make it kind of a pain to plan a full wedding. The area itself, although restored, isn’t that well kept when you really take a look – the ballroom floors are scuffed heavily and the outdoor foliage is not taken care of. We also had issues with the coordinators that were provided through Boo Cat when it came to communication. In the summer, our coordinator left Boo Cat and we were not informed – the only way we knew we had a new coordinator was two months later when I figured it out from my caterer and then emailed the right person trying to schedule a venue visit. Then, we found out the person who was our new coordinator wouldn't even be our day of coordinator. Then, we had concerns the day of the wedding. First, my husband was kicked out of the groom’s lounge two hours early because Brenden the manager had told catering they could set up there – the day of coordinator Marissa didn’t advocate for my husband when she realized what had happened, but rather put his and his party’s stuff in a closet and he was left wandering the building until the ceremony. We did receive a refund from Boo Cat for this error. In addition, 6 of the cars parked by Boo Cat’s complimentary valet service were broken into at 4:30pm across the street from the venue. We completely recognize that this was a crime, and that it has not happened in the past at Boo Cat per their reports. Additionally, we recognize the valet is a separate entity. However, the way the situation was handled felt as though we were being bamboozled, honestly. Our guests were told the valet company would cover it, but then were told Boo Cat was responsible because they declined security options with the valet. Then, come Monday morning, Amy from Boo Cat says that they aren’t responsible and rather than advocate for us to communicate with the valet company, they simply said that was all they could do. they require in their contract that our vendors have liability insurance to cover any damages, and yet their valet company didn’t seem to have that and Boo Cat “didn’t have coverage” in their own insurance. Throughout all of this, Boo Cat never was proactive in helping us- Marissa didn't help with a thing that night, and we had to reach out to Brenden. We received a refund for “issues with the venue”, but none of the information we actually needed to rectify this for our guests like insurance information and the valet contract that we requested. Amy also made us give the number we wanted for the refund, rather than be transparent about what they thought was appropriate (we have seen more transparency with other vendors). Additionally, she has given us no confirmation or reassurance that they will take steps to prevent this in the future like security cameras, hiring security through the valet company, etc. I hope that they respond to this with information about steps they are taking to improve security and safety.
