The following is a detailed account of my experience with Stephanie's bartending company. I hired her for my wedding in August 2023, and everything leading up to the wedding was wonderful. Stephanie was prompt and responsive with her communication, always getting back to me via email, text, or Instagram if I had any questions or concerns. A week before the wedding, Stephanie sent out a questionnaire for me to fill out, which included simple questions such as who to call in case of an emergency. We had previously discussed Stephanie's arrival time to be around 5 PM, and I must take some responsibility for the miscommunication that occurred. I wanted her to arrive earlier, but I just remembered I had to give her the schedule. However, as a reputable vendor, Stephanie should have followed up with not only me but also the emergency contact she received in the questionnaire to confirm the schedule. Unfortunately, after the ceremony, I called Stephanie to inquire about her whereabouts, and she informed me that they had gotten a flat tire and were lost. Despite having an emergency contact, Stephanie did not call them to inform them of the delay. When she finally arrived, people were ready for their drinks, and the night went on without further issues. However, later that night, my mom realized that Stephanie had not brought the water dispenser I had paid her for despite the day's sweltering heat. I had paid for two large water dispensers, one for water and the other for sweet tea. Stephanie had already left when I could talk to her in person, so I wrote her an email that night, which included our contract. The contract clearly stated that I would receive a refund for anything I had paid for and was not provided. The following morning, Stephanie emailed me back, saying she had a family emergency but would get back to me later. Unfortunately, I have not heard back from her since my wedding, despite contacting her via text, email, or Instagram every week. This unexpected behavior is unacceptable, and I feel frustrated and disappointed with her unprofessionalism. Overall, my experience with Stephanie's bartending company was okay, but her lack of communication and unprofessionalism have made it impossible for me to recommend her services. I hope this detailed account of my experience serves as a cautionary tale for anyone considering hiring her or any other bartender for their events.
