Truly a personal and memorable experience! Hilary and Sean were so wonderful to work with and very responsive! It was so smooth to work with them and their staff before the big da...
y and on it. We had our ceremony and reception in the same area and the turn over was fast and carefully placed. We were able to decorate the tables in the wings before the ceremony and the staff placed all the tables perfectly in a short amount of time. I've worked a lot of weddings as a vendor myself, and I've never experienced such a happy and helpful staff. (Irma was INCREDIBLE) Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there and we were taken care of so well. It felt like a luxury experience for a price we could afford. I heard nothing but rave reviews from guests about the location, food and staff. I can't recommend this location enough!
We had our wedding at the Bowers Museum in April and it is an absolutely stunning venue and very underrated! Our ceremony was outside in the front courtyard and the reception was i...
nside. Parking is free and available onsite. For the ceremony, there is so much greenery and beautiful features that you don’t need to spend too much on flowers or decorations. The reception hall has sculptures on the walls and artifacts around the room, giving the venue depth with an added touch of history and culture. We worked with Al Kanjo, who is very accommodating and easy to work with. The rate is very reasonable to either get a portion of the Bowers Museum or to rent it out completely; We were finding venue’s for 2x to 4x the price and for less space/grandeur. The bridal suite is basically an old conference room without windows, so I would recommend getting ready at a hotel (which is what our wedding party did). This is a very unique and modern venue so if you are looking for something that isn’t your typical reception hall or hotel, this is the place for you!
Amazing venue beautiful greenery all over, very well taken care of. The catering company was very flexible and easy to work with. It made the process very smooth. Excellent costume...
r service! My ceremony and reception were outdoor. Great place for pictures.
We got married on the "modern" side of the Bowers, but had access to both sides for pictures, etc. since we were the only event that night. It was everything that I wanted. The out...
side courtyard was the perfect size for an intimate wedding, and the surrounding sculptures and waterfalls were amazing. The inside reception hall was very grand and had the clean look that we wanted. Everyone at the venue was extremely accommodating and patient with all of my questions. I loved the uniqueness of the museum!
The Bowers was the perfect location for our modern wedding. We held the ceremony in the Key Courtyard and transformed it into a modern setting with custom backdrop. The reception...
in the Lee Court Gallery room indoor was beautiful. Judy, the museum manager, really works with you!
Entire Ceremony & Reception was outdoors, Mission style; We had only a specific 5 hour window for the entire wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception because we had to conclude...
by 11pm. It felt a little rushed.
outdoors with greenery and can put up lights fo r nighttime;dressing rooms not great. bathroom ok, not luxurious
I loved the intimacy of the setting. Our wedding was in the courtyard of the museum and it offered us an amazing garden setting with a backdrop of mission style architecture. ...
Our pictures are an amazing blend of both and really translates to the beauty of the grounds. Once you enter the double gates you quickly forget that there is anything or anyone outside the world of the wedding. It was nice not having to worry about the 'looky-loo's' and the environment while outside was so comfortable. It really played well with the June summer night. One guest described it as the 'ultimate backyard party' with wedding attire of course! I also liked that the feel of the venue is so different from the typical hotel ballroom or banquet hall. The site really appealed to both my husband and I because it was different from the norm and because we both grew up in Orange County with an affinity to the museum. Our goal in searching for a site was to find a place that was unique and special and one that would speak to who we are as a couple. Bowers summed up all the requirements in on package.;The staging area for the dancing is a bit awkward but it worked fine for us with our smaller crowds. The grounds have two potential spots - one closer to the bar and one closer to where the dining tables are situated. Because we did our first dance closer to the tables I think everyone assumed that was the primary dance floor. It wasn't intended to be but it worked out beautifully.
