The Business

My now husband and I did not leave the dance floor once they started playing! They were amazing and kept the crowd entertained the entire reception! I highly highly recommend them if you want an amazing reception!!!

3 months later and our guests are still talking about our wedding band. Before we got engaged, we had been to a wedding where The Business performed at the reception, when it came time to book our own wedding band, they were a no brainer. Our wedding reception was the absolute best party because of The Business. They are so amazing to work with and have the best stage presence. It's evident that they genuinely enjoy what they do. EVERYONE was out on the dance floor until the very last song during our reception. Booking The Business was the best decision for our reception

We received so many compliments from our guests on the Business's performance, and we couldn't stop dancing all night! Jim made the planning process so easy, and he was very organized and helpful with all of my questions. I am so grateful we worked with Jim and the Business!! The Business performed at our wedding in St. Simons Island, GA. I cannot tell you how many guests continue to tell us how much they enjoyed The Business! From the first dance to the last song, Jim and the band were amazing. They sound wonderful in their online videos, but it really is nothing compared to seeing them in person. They are talented musicians who are also great at keeping the energy up for a wedding (or any event). We wanted an elegant feel that was still tons of fun and they were a perfect match. The dance floor was packed all night!!

The Business was an absolutely phenomenal band and I am so ecstatic that we chose them for our wedding reception. They are true professionals and their showmanship was impeccable. Jim and the band were great to work with pre-wedding and made everything so easy. They kept the party going all night long and had everyone on the dance floor--from my 3 year old nephew to my 82 year old grandmother. Jim and the band knew what to play and at the right moments. Jim did a great job introducing the wedding party and announcing different moments of the night (dinner starting, cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc.) One of my favorite memories of the night was my dance with my father. It was a song that was really special to us, but stylistically a little different; The Business absolutely blew me away with how beautifully they performed the song, it was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend The Business to anyone getting married or hosting a private event, they will not disappoint!

The Business was phenomenal on so many levels. They were such good musicians and so tight as a collective, that it was more like we were seeing a band we love at The Orange Peel than watching a wedding band. Our first dance (Neutral Milk Hotel: In the Aeroplane Over the Sea) would be a hard cover for any band (the band will learn 1 new songs for your first dance and dad/mom dance). The Business totally made it their own, and yet still retained the parts of the song my wife and I love. I knew after 20 seconds that they were going to put on an amazing show. My one worry about getting any live band was that they wouldn't be able to officiate the aspects of the reception the way that we wanted (I felt like this was the only possible benefit to a DJ). I was wrong. Jim (the lead singer) was so charismatic and yet professional with every introduction and announcement. It really kept the whole thing moving at a perfect pace. He commanded attention in a way that seemed to make all the speeches easier and better. They kept us dancing all night, but they also made everything else feel seamless. My wife and I love music, but I gravitate more toward indy rock, and she has a more contemporary/pop sensibility. She says she just wanted stuff people could dance to. The Business delivered for both of us. You won't get the newest Justin Bieber song, but no one will miss it. They play classic and beloved songs that you forgot how much you like to dance to. The Business satisfied our Miami club scene friends, our Phishhead friends, our EDM friends, and our top 50 friends too (not to mention the oldies crowd, I am sure there were some sore hips the next day). The Business manage to make everyone happy by doing what they do so damn well. Everyone was chanting "encore" at the end of the night. And yes, they played one more song for us. We just couldn't get enough of them. Thanks guys.

This band was absolutely spot on and knew how to rock a party! They are incredibly talented and definitely exceeded expectations. All our guests loved the band and music. We were blown away. They were also very fun to work with and really seemed to enjoy themselves during the reception. They were everything we could ask for in a band! Jim did a fantastic job keeping us on schedule and making sure things ran smoothly! Book this band!!! You won't regret it!

OMG… The Business killed it!! They rocked our wedding reception and had people on the dance floor the entire night! Their energy is contagious and we had the BEST time. Yes a band costs more, but if you want to dance and want your guests to cut a rug too, you HAVE to hire The Business. you will not regret the extra $!

We didn't know where to begin when trying to book a band for the reception. We wanted a group that could do music that our generation and our parents (and grandparents!) could dance to, which seemed like a tall order. When my cousin (who is himself a musician in Asheville) called me to tell me that he normally hates wedding bands but saw The Business recently and thought they were great, we booked them on the spot. Jim and his team were nothing short of fantastic. They played a mix of 60s/motown, big band era, and wedding classics. We started dancing as soon as we arrived at the reception at 6ish, and danced all night long. EVERYONE was on the dance floor and had the best time. They were also extremely accommodating of our requests. They send you a list with their repertoire well in advance, and you can tell them what you absolutely want (and don't want) played. We ended up putting the same song on both lists, and when a guest specifically requested it, Jim quickly took me aside to make sure it was ok before he played it. :-) We played an iPod with country and contemporary songs during their two breaks, and they also agree to learn one new song for your event. In my case, they not only learned the song but agreed to let me sing it to my hubby. It was a highlight! Ellie, their agent at East Coast Entertainment, handled all the administrative details leading up to the wedding with the utmost professionalism and ensured that everything went smoothly. We can't say enough nice things about The Business. Booking them was the best decision we made, and we made some good ones!

Love the business band, they were so rockin and really had a great time... not to mention gentlemen, they helped me walk over the rocky driveway to walk down the aisle lol The played everything that I liked, from the 40's, 50's and 60s, plus more modern stuff like Van Morrison and The Black Keys. Awesome fun band for sure!
