About This Vendor
The Cabins at Farrington Hollow is a wedding venue located in Cherry Creek, NY and is set on 150 acres of wooded hills and farm land. The rustic charm and peaceful ambiance of our venue offers an elegant setting for your celebration. We have on-site lodging options that make us an all-inclusive venue. Our log cabins are over 100 years old and exude history and comfort. In the summer and fall months, our event tent can accommodate up to 150 people. We are open every day to host ceremonies and receptions as well as smaller private functions. We offer separate, unique areas to accommodate every aspect of your celebration. Our brand new event barn, which will be called The Barn at Farrington Hollow, will be built in 2022 and we are accepting bookings for event dates beginning in September 2022. Our barn will accommodate up to 250 people.

the first time we came to see it and knew we found the perfect spot. Alissa and her team were so flexible the entire planning process and made things so easy! If I ever had a question, Alissa was just a text away. She was helpful in more ways than I can count and thought about all the little details. When it came time for my wedding weekend she provided us with such comfort knowing that everything was going to be perfect and without a doubt her and her team did just that. I can not say enough about how special everything was! Not only was Alissa out wedding planner but now a forever friend. I am so grateful to have had our wedding at Farrington Hollows!

dded stress along the way this is the place for you! They went above and beyond to make sure they could make our vision come to life. They have cabins on the property which we were able to utilize the night before and the night of the wedding. There are SO many different areas on the property to take pictures allowing us to stay on site for the whole day. They had so many decor options on site which they assembled for us. We also had the option of homemade breakfast the next morning and were able to mingle with there goats. 10/10!

Absolutely disheartened as a bride to have these memories. I stayed in the cabins on site the night before the wedding and there was no Wi-Fi, patchy cell service and the power went out after a storm in which the smoke detectors chirped every 5...
-10 mins for more than 4 hours which did not allow me to get much sleep the night before my wedding. We were promised a day of coordinator in our package however did not have one and the staff that did help didn’t know our order for our ceremony, which myself as the bride had to yell across to stop my nephew from walking as he is 6 and was only following directions. The DJ was cued by again myself based on a timeline that was also shared with the venue. The venue was still putting the wood on the walls the day before the wedding and the venue had no bathrooms yet so Porta potties (one blue one and a nicer trailer one) were placed outside the actual venue. The staff at the venue started packing up the entire reception with my guests and I still in though we were contracted until 11p, even the centerpieces. These were many of the bigger things that contributed to the overall memories that I will have of my wedding day.
Positive things is it truly is a beautiful location and I think once that they are more finished as they just expanded into a barn site and event tent it may be better.

ever, I would like to explain so that our future couples know our position as well.
Unfortunately we don’t have the best cell service at our property. However, that was known from the beginning. Also, we can’t control the weather so yes there was a storm and the power went out and yes the fire alarms chirped. We had explained that it is a new cabin and that we’d look into the fire alarms that were chosen and make a change if needed.
We also provided a credit for the cabin that was booked by you and in your contract but not used as that was the right thing to do.
We also were there the entire weekend ready to help with whatever was needed. Like I mentioned we were told you did not need us at your rehearsal. However, we will be attending them moving forward regardless of whether or not we are needed. We were there for your ceremony and we were willing and able to assist. I was also right next to the DJ providing him direction.
Regarding the status of the barn, we were honest all the way through up to your wedding date. When booking we provided you with tent pricing and upgraded to the barn as again that is the right thing to do given the unknown timeline of the barn when booking.
Regarding the centerpieces, we start organizing items that are not on the tables for our couples 1 hour before the end of the reception. We don’t pick up items from the tables until about a half hour before the end of the reception. By this time, all guests are away from the tables dancing or mingling .
We do this as a service for our couples so that they don’t have to do this the morning after and so that everything is packed up, organized and ready to go.
We’re truly sorry you feel this way and are thankful you chose us but I can stand by my team providing a 5 star service.

lovely the view from the tent was. The staff made sure everything was done the way we wanted. They worked with our caterer and DJ to get them set up and have things ready on the timeline we set up. Alissa let us try some new and beautiful decorating ideas that worked out really well and added to the already elegant tent.
We also utilized the cabins onsite which just added to the experience. The wedding party stayed in the cabins the night before and we were able to get ready right there. For our daughter and bride's maids, we had the hair dresser come right to the cabin to do our hair. It was perfect. Alissa checked in on us the day of the wedding to ensure we were on track and to make sure there weren't any last minute changes or issues. We also had out of town guests stay in cabins and the wedding party stayed the night of the wedding to continue the celebration. Great added treat.
I really can't say enough about how wonderful this venue was. We are doing another wedding at a different venue this year, for another daughter. The venue is more expensive and they do not help you at all. I wish I could have Alissa and her staff there to help with that wedding also. If you can, you should have your wedding at The Tent (or soon to be Barn) at Farrington Hollow.

there are sleeping accommodations on site and even more nearby meant that ourselves and out guests were able to have a great night and not worry about getting home safely.
We also loved that they were able to accommodate our horse! There are horse stalls on site so after I, the bride, rode into the ceremony on horse back, my horse was back safe in her stall for the night without me having to worry about her!
The venue is so beautiful with ample opportunity for beautiful outdoor photography no matter what time of year or weather!

The cabins have all the conveniences of home and worked out great for our families to stay the whole weekend. The morning of the wedding we also had a yoga session in the tent! t Farrington hollows this September. I was so overwhelmed until I spoke to Alissa, who is one of the owners at Farrington hollows. She has gone above and beyond to help us re-plan our entire wedding in under six months. This venue has so much to offer and I cannot believe that we were able to book it with only six months until our wedding. It is an absolute hidden gem, and I cannot wait to get married here. We will be staying in the cabins on the property the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding, and we will also make sure to vacation here for many years to come. I highly recommend Farrington Hollows for anyone looking to get married on the most beautiful property with a family that truly cares about your big day!
