What magic. From start to finish, The Caboose delivered a truly thoughtful experience for my partner and me throughout the sales and planning process, extending that same generosity of spirit, intuition, kindness, warmth, and sense of fun into every detail of our wedding day. The result was a memorable celebration not only for us, but for the people we hold most dear. The venue itself is stunning- a rare space that feels both classic and modern, with playful nods to the Caboose and railroad theme woven thoughtfully throughout the property. Every detail feels intentional and contributes to a strong sense of place without ever feeling overdone. As a self-proclaimed events expert- having opened a venue in the Hudson Valley, planned and executed hundreds of weddings, and continued my career producing festivals and award shows- I was looking for an experience that felt intimate, thoughtful, and well-executed. My partner, a graphic designer, was drawn to an aesthetic that felt modern while still embracing the beauty of the outdoors. Even the venue's branding, iconography, and clever references to hobo code signaled that this was a team that appreciated history, valued storytelling, and had a distinct point of view. Chef Hagan and Chef Joseph were finalizing the new culinary and bar program in the weeks leading up to our wedding- the first wedding of 2026- and they went out of their way to ensure we felt heard, understood, and excited throughout the process. They offered thoughtful guidance and creative menu ideas that felt both elevated and approachable. The tasting was exceptional and, remarkably, every expectation was met on the wedding day itself. The food was beautifully presented, delicious, and intentional, and the bar program was equally impressive. From the champagne tower and thoughtfully selected glassware and garnishes to the handcrafted cocktails, vibrant crudité display, incredible passed hors d'oeuvres, and beautifully presented dinner service, every element was executed with care. Our guests couldn't stop talking about it. What truly sets The Caboose apart, however, is its service and operations. The staff is professional, warm, and genuinely kind. We cannot say enough about how comfortable, welcomed, and cared for every guest felt throughout the evening. From arrival to departure, the team ensured older guests and individuals with special needs were supported, dietary restrictions and allergies were handled thoughtfully and respectfully, and the venue remained immaculate and comfortable all night long. Georgina, the Operations Manager, deserves special recognition. She is a true ray of light. From the moment you meet her, you feel an immediate sense of partnership and trust. No detail is too small, no question too insignificant. The way she manages the venue, supports her team, and cares for her clients creates an atmosphere that feels thoughtful, relaxed, and effortless- though it's clear a tremendous amount of expertise and care is working behind the scenes. Our guests are still raving about the experience, and we are still glowing with happiness. We truly cannot imagine a more thoughtful, human, and joyful way to celebrate our love alongside the people who matter most in our orbit. Thank you, Caboose, for creating something so special. Where to even begin. The Caboose was everything we had hoped and more for our wedding venue. From the gorgeous space, to the perfect service, the stunning food and cocktails, and to each and every person who made our wedding day magical.
