ed solely on her reviews and photos—especially because we were flying in from Alabama to Salt Lake City and were unable to do a tasting beforehand. Choosing our cake flavors blindly could have been nerve-wracking, but Rosario’s communication and professionalism left absolutely no room for doubt.
We selected a two-tier cake, and every detail was flawless. Our first tier (saved for our one-year anniversary) was strawberry cake with white chocolate ganache filling, finished with delicate fondant waves. The second tier was white velvet with white chocolate ganache, covered in beautifully textured buttercream. We used live flowers, and the final presentation matched our inspiration photos and overall vibe perfectly—simple, elegant, masculine, romantic, and truly reflective of the moment and setting of our winter elopement.
The cake itself was phenomenal. Moist, balanced, and not overly sweet—so good that I would choose it 10 times over without hesitation. Guests raved about it, and honestly, I’m still thinking about it. I even told my husband I’m trying to figure out how to fly Rosario’s cakes from Utah to Atlanta for our larger ceremony next year.
Rosario went above and beyond in every way. She handled the full setup, added our flowers and cake topper, provided a complimentary knife set for the day, and thoughtfully packaged our top tier so we could safely take it home for our anniversary. Her attention to detail was unmatched—she double-checked everything, never missed a detail, and was overly communicative throughout the entire process.
Everything looked even better than we could have imagined. Trusting Rosario without a tasting was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. If you’re considering The Cake Batter by Rosario, book her—you will not regret it.

ect amount of sweetness. Communication leading up to wedding wasn’t very much. I texted 2 days prior to confirm everything was still set in place to which she responded promptly that it was. The cake looked beautiful when I saw it at the venue. I think the florist arranged the real flowers in the cake but Rosario would have been able to do this as well if my florist hadn’t offered it. As for the cake, the flavor was absolutely delicious. I got vanilla bean cake with Dulce de leche filling and a mixed berry cake with raspberry filling. The cake wasn’t nearly as moist as when we tasted it in her home. I’m not sure if this was because it was sitting outside for a few hours at the venue. I also forgot that I needed to return the cake stand the following days as I wasn’t reminded about this in the confirmation text I received two days prior to the wedding. After some headache and a failed attempt to locate the cake stand, we settled on paying for the cake stand. Overall the flavor of the cake was delicious and it looked absolutely beautiful!

Having you and your mom in my home for the tasting was such a joy. It is one of my favorite parts of the process, getting to know my couples personally!
I am so happy the cake looked beautiful and that the flavors: Vanilla Bean with Dulce de Leche and Swirl Berry with Raspberry/Buttercream were the best combination!
I do want to apologize for a couple of things:
Regarding the moisture, cakes exposed to outdoor heat for extended periods can unfortunately lose some of their texture. I will be more proactive in guiding future clients on proper cake display conditions at the venue.
Regarding the cake stand — although the return policy was included in your signed Wedding Cake Order Form, I take responsibility for not sending a personal reminder text before the wedding. Going forward, this will be part of my standard confirmation process to avoid any confusion. I am truly sorry for the inconvenience this caused you and your mom!

Additionally, the $50 charge covered not only the box of donuts but also the custom dripping artwork as requested. The decorations you asked for included more than just donuts—such as florals and a dog figurine—so the cake wasn’t meant to look exactly like the inspiration picture. I worked to balance all the elements to ensure the right design throughout the cake.

lmond cake. Rosario then made detailed notes and sketches of our wedding cake and we chose flavors from her book of flavor combinations. We had 120 guests coming to the wedding, but since we already had some cookies and brownies as part of our buffet, Rosario convinced us to plan on 80 people who would likely have cake. This turned out to be very insightful as we had lots of leftover cake to enjoy all weekend and we were grateful for Rosario’s honesty and insights.
After that we paid the deposit and made arrangements for wedding day pickup. Since she already had a cake delivery for our wedding day, we made arrangements to use one of her cake stands and she boxed it up for my team to pick up. Although the groom added a thumbprint to the cake, it looked stunning upon arrival.
The only glitch was that we chose a seasonal fruit for the second layer instead of specifying which fruit we wanted to have and although this was our oversight, we wished we had specified it in the planning process so we knew what to expect. One of our guests had an allergy to blueberry and although there wasn’t an accident, we would have had the cake cut differently to avoid cross contamination for her.

Not only were we surprised by her quick responses, but she also set aside time to meet and get to know us, and really put together what we were envisioning for our big day. We ended up doing a 3 tiered semi-naked cake with two flavors, and oh! It was so delicious! Very light, very moist, and so so beautiful! I wanted and Rosario was able to deliver! Great price for how spot on the cake design and flavors were! We chose a two tier vanilla bean cake with dulce de leche and crème brûlée fillings. Everyone LOVED it!! The restaurant we held our reception at had other desserts available like Decadent chocolate cake and New York cheesecake with berry coulis, but Rosario’s cake was able to stand on its own and not be shadowed by anything! She coordinated with me regarding the reception time and location and came through on time and worked great with my florist in putting the final touches! She was the first and easiest vendor I worked with and she set the tone for how the rest of my wedding planning would be. For a two month wedding prep, EVERYTHING went so smoothly and so beautifully! All my guest were shocked! Totally recommend Rosario!
