From the thousands of questions answered, to helping us figure out how to pick cake flavors from three states away, to the design, delivery, and everything in between, it was SUPERIOR, INCREDIBLE, UNBELIEVABLE QUALITY AND SERVICE!!! Sarah was amazing, I saved all of our emails and have them added to our wedding book. She' is so wonderful at her job! We had her mail cake flavors and frosting flavors to us since we live in Illinois and she's in Colorado. She sent us two cupcakes of each flavor we requested , the delivery was fast and the flavors were AWESOME! I loved getting to personally meet Sarah when she delivered the cake to us. Y'all, you won't meet a better woman! She's seriously so personable and personalizes every detail in such depth. I loved it. We devoured our cake!!! We'll be ordering a fresh one for our first anniversary next year! I seriously can't say enough wonderful things about her!

Sarah was so amazing to work with leading up to our day and created the most beautiful and delicious cake for our wedding. 1 tier of white cake with almond icing and 1 tier with coconut cake with coconut icing all of which we were able to taste and decide on from our home in Florida. Don't even think twice, hire her!

We were so happy with our wedding cake! It was beautiful and tasty. The mailed tasting was enjoyable and worked out well given that we were planning from out of state. We ended up choosing champagne cake with raspberry frosting and filling - delicious. Sarah was very easy to communicate with as well. Highly recommend!

When we were looking for someone to make a cake for our wedding, Sarah’s cakes immediately caught my eye. She is amazing and her cakes taste GREAT! From the taste to the simple, elegant design- we couldn’t have asked for a better cake for our wedding day! We also had Sarah create cupcakes, cookies and brownies & let me tell you.. they all taste great. One of our groomsmen said the chocolate chip cookies were the best he has ever had! Sarah was so helpful and very responsive in the cake planning process! She took on a difficult task of making an electric guitar grooms cake, and did an incredible job. I could not be happier with how accommodating she was, and how BEAUTIFUL the wedding and grooms cakes were. The tasting process was very fun, and Sarah makes everything so delicious, it was difficult to pick a flavor! We cannot wait to order our anniversary cake from her next year!

Sarah is so sweet and very easy to work with! She even mailed our samples during covid when in person sampling was restricted. The cupcakes arrived in perfect condition, well on time and most importantly tasted amazing! multiple guest couldn't have just one! I would absolutely recommend hiring her! She does it all and is great at it!

Sarah was a joy to work with! Amidst COVID, she sent us cake samples and icing for a tasting - we made a night out of it and enjoyed champagne and celebrating the season of our engagement. She was quick to respond and talk through our decision making process. She instilled trust and confidence. She curated a beautiful cake with my florist - something more than I could have ever dreamed of. And the salted buttercream with yellow cake was absolutely incredible! All of our wedding guests complimented the taste! Definitely one of our favorite parts of our wedding day!

Our cake was exactly what we wanted! It was a semi naked strawberry champagne 2 tier with florals. Sarah delivered and set it up perfectly. She left boxes for us to take it back to the lodge with us. It was the perfect compliment to our day. Effortless and delicious!

Sarah was an absolute pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to meet all of our needs for a wedding cake. She is prompt at responding, very reasonably priced, and an amazing artist! She will personalize a tasting and ship it to you (we lived far away), this allowed us to design exactly what flavors we wanted. She took our requests and photo inspiration and turned our wedding cake into exactly what we wanted and most importantly it was the most delicious wedding cake we have ever tasted. Sarah is the best of the best! Her cakes, frostings, and fillings are delicious, she creates the most beautiful cakes, and we were pleasantly surprised at her pricing for our large and involved cake request! We were quoted twice her price from another mountain bakery (glad we didn’t cave to Vail pricing!), and her cakes are so good we woke up craving another piece the day after our wedding! She is the best decision you can make for your CO mountain wedding. She will mail you cupcakes and frostings to try for your tasting, and we made a fun night out of it! We also had her make a gluten free cake for some of our guests and it was equally as delicious!! She is so accommodating and great with communication. We couldn’t be happier and look forward to future cakes for special events from her :)

Sarah did such an amazing job with our cake. I was blown away with how incredibly beautiful it was. It was exactly what we wanted and tasted absolutely delicious! It tasted so good that we didn’t have any leftovers — our guests went back for seconds (and thirds)! Unfortunate for us, but that tells you how delicious her cakes are. Sarah is AMAZING to work with. She was able to send us an adorable little sample kit to enjoy a cake tasting date night at home (we're in CO, so fairly local). She was so easy, incredibly responsive, and just a fantastic vendor all around. And then there was the cake. IT EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS! It was DELICIOUS in flavor, design was PERFECT... It was everything we asked for. We left her some florals and she arranged them beautifully. 10/10 would recommend!

Sarah baked our wedding cake in December of 2019. She was easy to schedule with for both the tastings in the mail (which made having a tasting from out of town really easy) and for the order and delivery of the wedding cake. She had tons of options and inspiration for flavor combinations and designs, and the cake we ended up choosing was beautiful and delicious. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a cake for any occasion!

Sarah was so easy to work with! She made our wedding cake dreams come true. We went to Breckenridge in October to plan our wedding and she was willing to meet us to do a tasting so we could decide on cake flavors. She very easily worked with my Grandmother when she had lots of questions! Our cake was absolutely delicious. We chose our bottom layer to be lemon and the rest of our cake to be vanilla with the almond buttercream frosting with a strawberry filling. Our guests absolutely loved it and we barely had any left. Numerous people came up to us to compliment us on our wedding cake and that it was the best they have ever had.

We are forever grateful to Sarah for creating a wedding cake that was even more beautiful and delicious than we could ever have imagined! She was so easy to work with - she is lightning fast at responding to emails, she sent us our cake tasting in the mail so that we could enjoy it at home, and her delivery on the day of the wedding was totally hassle-free. She also as a special request made an apple pie filling for the spice cake of our dreams. SO delicious! Our guests can't stop raving about it! My advice to any future couples working with Sarah - order way more cake than you think you'll need - you guests will be going back for seconds and thirds!

Hiring Sarah was the best decision we made!! I had always wanted a dessert bar for my wedding, because one dessert is simply not enough! And let me tell you, Sarah The Cake Maker made all of my dreams come true, and so much more! From the ordering, to arranging the items day of, everything was absolutely spectacular! We ordered 3 different types of cupcakes, 3 types of cookies, and brownies, too! We also had a 2-tier cake to cut at our wedding and keep for our 1st year anniversary. Everything was SO delicious, and not to mention beautiful too!!!! If you want cake and desserts that you'll crave for years to come, Sarah is your gal! She even had many of our guests raving that the chocolate chip cookies were the best they've ever had! Sara was so wonderful to work with! She is just the absolute sweetest and goes above and beyond to help you find the perfect desserts for your big day! We did a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and it was not only super delicious but also so beautiful! She does such a wonderful job with her decorations and made it all come to life so perfectly! Sarah is THE BEST. From the moment I emailed her and we began exchanging lighthearted (but still very detailed) emails about our mutual love for cake, to the ease of a mail-order cake tasting, to her INCREDIBLE talent in producing our gorgeous and absolutely delicious, art-deco red velvet wedding cake as well as a vegan/gluten-free small cake for our guests - I cannot recommend her enough!! So many cakes these days look great but taste mediocre, and it was important to me to find someone who cared as much about taste as I did. Sarah totally nailed it, and I am so so thankful we found her! She is also amazingly well-priced for the Vail area - honestly, she cannot be beat! Book early so you don't miss out on her talent!

Working with Sarah from The Cake Maker was a wonderful experience. Planning a destination wedding from states away had it's challenges, but Sarah brought ease and excitement to choosing a cake. My now-husband and I made a fun date night out of sampling different cakes and icing flavors, which were mailed fresh right to our door step. I shared my preferences for flavor, style, and size, and the final product was a dream come true. I will cherish our cake-cutting photos forever, and we will definitely seek out The Cake Maker's lemon cake next time we are in Colorado!

Sarah was absolutely amazing! I planned our wedding in Keystone all the way from Texas, so I had no time to meet Sarah in person or to taste her cake options. All of our communication was done via FB messenger. Sarah had to deal with me constantly sending inspiration photos and changing my mind so many times. In the end, I opted for my own creation, which also meant I assumed it wouldn’t be anything close to what I had in my head. I must say, Sarah nailed it! It was exactly what I had envisioned brought to life. I could not have been happier with my cake! I would highly recommend The Cake Maker - Colorado for your wedding cake vendor.

We asked Sarah to do our wedding cupcakes and they were outstanding! Since we were unable to do a tasting in person, Sarah was able to do a tasting by mail which was so fun. Her cake and frosting are absolutely delicious (I highly recommend the chocolate cake with salted caramel buttercream). She was quick to respond to my emails and delivered everything to the venue on time. I provided her with wooden crates as the cupcake stand, as well as some greenery she could place as she wished and she made everything look so beautiful! Sarah has great prices for such amazing quality of product and service.

Sarah was amazing to work with! I live in Phoenix but held the wedding in Breckenridge - so everything was done from cake tasting to decisions were made remotely. Sarah worked with me on filling and was extremely accommodating. The cake was beautiful and flavor was amazing. Everyone raved about it! I only wish I was able to enjoy more than a few bites! I can't recommend Sarah enough! We had a destination wedding so our communication was mostly via email. Sarah had to answer my question of "is that combination going to taste okay?" and I never doubted her for a second! We did a small 3 tier with the top tier being a cake basically for myself (chocolate with cherry filling--to die for). I still am constantly thinking about our cake and it's been almost a year! I am so happy we chose Sarah, she truly made our vision come to life!

Sarah did an absolutely AMAZING job on our wedding cake! It looked and tasted wonderful and was a huge hit at our wedding. I think we walked away with one or two pieces left. Sarah did a fantastic job with our cake, exactly what we pictured!! We requested pressed flowers in the cake and it was beautiful. The raspberry filling is delicious and all of our guests loved our strawberry cupcakes - and of course the classic yellow cake with chocolate frosting my husband wanted! Sarah was easy to work with and quick to respond. We initially ordered the tasting to our house, but wanted to try the fillings so Sarah found a time to meet us so we could try it all together. Our wedding was June 2019. We were originally set up to use another vendor for our cupcakes, mainly because we were not aware of Sarah. Our original vendor canceled only a month before our big day. This combined with us planning a wedding from 1,000 miles away caused some stress. But Sarah came to our rescue!! Even though she already had plans on our wedding date, she was so gracious and accommodating and made our cupcakes. She is so pleasant to work with and does great work! The cupcakes were absolutely delicious and beautiful!! Great price also for the high quality of her tasty creations. Our guests loved the treats and we would recommend her to anyone!

Sarah was amazing to work with, from the fluid communication, flexibility in design of the cake, and positive, upbeat attitude. I live in Texas and held our wedding in Granby. Sarah was able to mail me the cake and icing samples including tracking number so I knew exactly when they'd arrive and not melt in the heat. I held a taste testing party with my bridal party and we had such a hard time deciding which flavor combos to go with because they were all so good. In the end, we went with the Champagne Cake, Lemon Buttercream Filling and Strawberry Buttercream Frosting, kind of a play on strawberry's and champagne. I'd never had champagne cake before, but it's so light and moist, really worth the few extra dollars! I'd also asked her if she does strawberry cake and while it's not part of her overall menu, she was happy to share with me some she'd whipped up! They were also so good but in the end decided the overall group would prefer the champagne and I'd have to order strawberry some other time just to have! The strawberry icing is like eating fresh strawberries, seeds and all but not pink since she just infuses the icing with the fresh berries. I really debated on the style of cake given the many options shown on her website and Pinterest but in the end, I went with a 3 tier cake and watercolor buttercream frosting (not a fan of fondant) and it turned out even better than expected. She delivered the cake on time as promised and worked well with my wedding planner on timing of everything. We used flowers from my florist (The Stalk Market.) There were absolutely no complaints, all 5 * across the board. We can't wait to enjoy our cake top at our 1 year anniversary!

Sarah was one of my favorite people to work with for my wedding! She was so kind and fun and made the whole wedding planning process easier. On top of that, she went above and beyond and was enthusiastic about all of my ideas. My cake was absolutely beautiful. And my guest were shocked by the X and O doughnuts that we had waiting for them as a parting gift. And everything was delicious! I am so thankful that I chose Sarah as our cake/doughnut maker! Sarah was incredible and so helpful in every way while I was planning our cake! As you all can relate I am sure, planning a wedding, no matter the size, can be extremely stressful, and before you know it your timeline has gotten away from you. Sarah worked with me so patiently, and even at the last minute saved my cake by picking up new fresh flowers as the ones we originally bought wilted 🥀 rendering them useless. We chose a red velvet cake and Sarah suggested an almond icing she makes. It was more perfect than anything I could imagine! So delicious! The almond icing was subtle and the cake was baked to perfection. I have not before or since had a better cake! I will continue to use Sarah for any other events in which I need a cake, as well as refer my friends to her.
