Stacey first picked up the whisk when she was 16 years old. Since then, she has graduated from The Culinary Institute of America and worked for some of the nation’s greatest. Stacey has been on the Food Network for her culinary talents. She came first in a Cake Wars competition on the show. This ambitious baker has also worked on wedding cakes featured in magazines.
Stacey will work with you and your partner to come up with an amazing wedding cake. She offers a range of mouth-watering sponge flavors, including confetti, lavender, almond, and lemon. Next, you can select from a choice of velvety buttercream fillings. Options range from coconut and salted caramel to pistachio and peanut butter. Stacey works with Italian meringue buttercream for a light, airy finish. She has come up with a list of combination ideas to make the selection process easier. You and your partner can choose a style to suit your vision. Stacey offers semi-naked cakes for a rustic celebration. Both textured and smooth buttercream finishes are possible. Alternately, she can work with fondant for a detailed and sophisticated result. Other services available from The Cake Shop CNY include delivery and setup. wanted in a cake. We had a rough idea of what we wanted but Stacey's special accents made the cake really stand out and look amazing. She also gave us tips about how to use up extra servings, as we had a small wedding but wanted a three tiered cake.
She instructed us on how to best transport the cake so we managed to move the cake ourselves over 40 miles to the destination without issue! She also helped facilitate picking up flowers from a local florist so that they could be added to the cake prior to us picking it up.

Now let’s talk about the wedding cake, somehow Stacey took what I had dreamed up and made it into a reality. It was so incredibly perfect I honestly didn’t want to cut into it! We requested a tiny figurine of our dog taking a bite out of the cake, it looked just like him and was perfect! The wedding cake she created truly just filled my heart was so much happiness and joy.
Lastly, we had custom cookies made for our guest favors, and they left me speechless. They were above and beyond what I expected! Let me tell you, these are the most delicious cookies you will have in your life!! If you have not had cookies from the Cake Shop, run don’t walk to order yourself some for your next party!!
Overall, when working with Stacey you can see clearly that she not only loves what she does, but she puts that love into each and every one of her orders. One thing that really stood out was that included in the price was a small anniversary cake that she’ll make fresh for our first anniversary, so that we don’t have to eat year-old freezer-burnt cake saved from our wedding day. She also kept an eye on the weather, since our venue was a barn without any climate control, and she was prepared to adjust her delivery time to ensure the cake wasn’t subjected to heat/humidity for too long. In other words…she has exceptional attention to detail and really does make sure she delivers an exceptional product! We had a 2-layer cut cake along with 3 flavors of cupcakes (including 1 vegan flavor which everyone, vegans and non-vegans alike, loved) and they all looked beautiful and tasted fantastic!!
(As an aside, we HIGHLY recommend combining the spice cake, cream cheese frosting, and apple pie filling…it was an AMAZING combo!!)
