The Cakery

The Cakery made our wedding cake dreams come true! From the moment we tried her cakes at our tasting, we could not wait to have it again at our wedding! She had so many delicious flavors that it's tough to choose (we picked 4 different flavors!). We loved every bite of our cake and we're still dreaming of her raspberry filling! She was great to work with, too. She worked with me on options to get the cake closer to my budget (we had a 3-tiered cake, and then had sheet cakes too). I would HIGHLY recommend hiring The Cakery for your wedding cake!

I first met Lonielle at a bridal fair where, after having just one sample, I knew that not only was she the one for us, but also that I’d just eaten the best cake EVER (and I’ve eaten a lot of cake in 64 years!). Our cake was as delicious as it was beautiful. Working with Lonielle was so easy and fun. She is great about responding right away to phone calls or emails, and is a true delight. I had seen a “sunset” cake on her website, and together we took that vision and made it even more beautiful, with blue skies adding to the colors and our theme of “All My Tomorrows.” We had a small, two-layer cake: one layer was devil’s food with dark chocolate granache, and the other layer was white cake with raspberry cream cheese filling. Even cold leftovers (and I made sure they gave me a lot) were still incredibly delicious. When we walked into our venue and saw Lonielle’s creation, it was magical. Lonielle, and The Cakery, are the ones you want for your special day, believe me.

We used the Cakery for our wedding this past November. We did a tasting in Aug, and had a blast! She was so accommodating, and like everyone said, it was hard to pick the flavors!! They were all amazing! The cake not only tasted great, but it was gorgeous! Just what we wanted for our wedding at a Vineyard. Thank you Lonielle!!! Alisa & Adam

Everything was perfect. We worked with Lonielle on our wedding cake and cupcakes. The cake was delicious. The dessert table turned out amazing. Lonielle was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend everyone to reach out to Lonielle.

Lonielle's cakes are just superb. She can work within your flexible budget and help you find the perfect cake. My husband and I have very simple taste and our cake was still absolutely gorgeous. As far as flavor goes, I am IN LOVE with her buttercream. I might be the only one, but I'm not truly a fan of heavy buttercream. The Cakery makes a very light and fluffy buttercream just like the cake itself. That flavor certainly translates to the wedding day! Your cake tastes just like it did the day of your consultation. I am so impressed with The Cakery and would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

The Cakery was amazing any time I sent an email I would get a response shortly after. From me and my now husband going there and seeing what we wanted and taste tasting was everything and more. The owner was there and their new hire was very friendly. The owner did us a drawing of the cake we saw in there book which was reassuring also giving us ideas to make the cake even more eye popping! On the wedding day they came on time everything was as talked about days before. Sadly we didnt get to try the cake due to the fact that we both wore it more then eating it, but all the guest loved it and said how wonderful it was. Lonielle is a top notch artist. We feel so lucky to have had her amazing cake at our wedding. From the wonderful tasting that she provided when we started the process, to the gorgeous and delicious cake that showed up at our reception, we were thrilled with her. People are still commenting on how great the cake was. As I said in my wedding vendor review for her on the Knot, I can't wait to dig into that cake again on our anniversary!

One look at her work just says it all. We were sold by the clean, tasteful, creations we saw online and it just got better and better. The ingredients, the taste, the accuracy (details we specifically requested were to the "T"), the final presentation, the communication, the price. No complaints, only highest of recommendations!! You cannot go wrong here!

Although I didn't get a piece of the peanut butter and jelly cake, people are still raving about it. I did get a piece of the chocolate and salted Carmel buttercream, and it was fabulous, even the next day. The cake was beautiful, and exactly what I had always pictured. The flavors the offer are amazing, and I loved working with the cakery.

Cake was delicious! Only choices for flavor are chocolate, vanilla, and carrot with a few different fillings. They may have few choices but they have perfected these choices. The final cake seemed unfinished, cake boards were showing even though we provided them with double the amount of fabric the requested. But the cake was absolutely delicious!

We had met with several local bakeries to sample cakes and frankly were disappointed ($25 to sample two cupcakes??). Our caterer had recommended The Cakery, and the whole experience was wonderful. We met with a representative who spent a great deal of time asking us questions about our wedding, explaining in detail the types of cakes and decorations offered, and providing us several samples of cakes and frostings (at no charge!). We selected a three-tier cake in different flavors and kept in touch with the baker before the big day. They delivered the cake on time, and it was a big hit with all our guests. It was beautifully decorated, and all the flavors were delicious, including the Italian buttercream frosting. We recommend The Cakery highly.

I still cant get over how perfect my cake was. The entire night i kept telling people "Have you seen my cake???!!!" It was absolutely stunning and the vendor was flawless. They called me the week of just to sort out any last minute details and the whole transaction went flawlessly!!! The cake was delicious, looked beautiful, and absolutely no worries or snags in the whole process. I had my coordinators leave my topper on the cake stand and The Cakery set it all up when they dropped the cake off. I can't speak any more highly about The Cakery. It's really too bad my caters dropped the ball and didn't serve it because i had most of the cake leftover.(People ate it at the Sunday brunch luckily) Shame on Trumpet Vine because it was a gorgeous and delicious cake. Thank you The Cakery for making my wedding cake perfect!

Our wedding cake looked amazing! I sent in a picture and they copied it exactly! The flavor was soo yummy.

Although our wedding was in Columbus, my groom and I went with a small baker in Dayton for our wedding cake~They did an absolutely WONDERFUL job and we couldn't have been happier. The cake was delivered to us and was set up by their team and was more beautiful than I could have imagined. Thank You Cakery!

As a Baker and Cake Decorator, my expecations for my wedding cake could not be higher. We chose The Cakery because of their delicious flavors, and beautiful cakes. The ladies at The Cakery are truly talented. I very much enjoyed working with them, and our wedding cake was everything that I wanted. Simply elegant and SOOOOOO yummy. I could not have been happier with how moist, and lovely our cake was. My Husband and I would highly recommend The Cakery to anyone!! Thanks Ladies!

I did a lot of research online for bakeries in the Central Coast area and The Cakery was the one I kept coming back to. My groom called to make an appointment for a tasting for him, myself and my mother. Though not hard to find, The Cakery is a little off the beaten path in Templeton in a little house on Dancing Deer Farm. When we first met with them, we didn't know exactly what we wanted, so we were able to flip through several photo books of cakes they had made in order to get a better idea of what we liked and what we didn't like. We decided on a three-tiered square cake, with a simple buttercream frosting. The hard part was picking the type of cake and fillings; they were all so delicious! In our complimentary tasting, Linda brought out all of their flavors and fillings. We selected the white cake with cream cheese and raspberry filling for one layer, devil's food with ganache and raspberry for another, and our top layer (yet to be eaten) is devil's food with Kahlua and Baileys buttercream. We wanted to do something custom on the top of the cake to reflect our personalities, so we talked to Linda about creating the squirrels from Ice Age out of fondant. She readily admitted it would be costly, and since we wouldn't get to keep them, it might be better if we could find someone to make them out of clay. We thought this was a great idea, so my husband's aunt created an amazing cake topper for us with the two squirrels sharing an acorn. However, they ended up being too large for the cake, so at the last minute, we talked to The Cakery about a groom's cake. They made a carrot cake (so yummy!) with cream cheese filling and wrapped it in fondant to look like an oak tree stump so the squirrels could sit on it. Both cakes had gorgeous fondant acorns and oak leaves cascading down. And the buttercream on our main cake was so smooth it looked like fondant. Cake is usually hit or miss at weddings...ours was a huge hit. Both cakes were so moist and the flavors were unbelievable. I have never had cake look and taste this good. And the price was great, too! Now I just need an excuse to order another one! If you want the best cake ever, go see Yarrow and Linda at The Cakery.

The Cakery is great! The outside was beautiful and the insides were oh so tasty! We got a ton of compliments from our guests!

I did cupcakes....They taste like HEAVEN!! They put all the other vendors at the wedding show to shame =)

Lynda is a delight to work with. She spent time listening to what we liked and designed the perfect cake for us. She is serious about providing a great tasting, high quality, beautiful cake using the finest ingredients. We received many comments on the beauty of the cake as well as how scrumptious it was! I highly recommend The Cakery for any event involving a cake.

We used The Cakery for our cake, and the cake was delicious! It was really fun to be able to taste all the different cakes. They were very helpful and great with communication. The only downside was the price. They are expensive, but the cake was absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing!

The cake was delicious. I cannot tell you how many compliments we got about the flavors and the taste of the cake. Unfortunately, the design was not up to par to what I was expecting. I had shown them a photo of a very delicate finely piped cake and was told that they could do it for an extra fee. I gladly paid the fee and was a little disappointed when my cake arrived with some heavier less intricate pipe work. It was still a good looking cake, but not up to the caliber that I was expecting. I would recommend the Cakery if you are doing something that they have done before... some of there cakes are very beautiful, but I would avoid doing anything outside their realm of expertise. Fair pricing and ok service (had to remind them several times of my name and what I wanted and if I had called before). Also, they are not very proactive. I was the one who had to follow up and remind etc. All in all though I would recommend the Cakery.

The Cakery blew us away! The cake was more beautiful than I could have imagined - and tasted even better! The flavor of their chocolate cake was out of this world! It was incredibly fresh and looked impeccable. Linda and Yarrow were always there to answer questions and meet with us. We also used them for a groom's cake for our rehearsal and a huge Italian cookie bar for the wedding. We even sent them special recipes for the cookies - and they made them perfectly! We could not have been happier with everything they made for us!

Our wedding cake was incredible. Not only was it beautiful, but it tasted just as incredible! I heard someone at the wedding ask if the cake was real!

I brought in a picture of a cake and they were able to reproduce it perfectly!! I also had a dessert table. They tasted great, the only problem was the underestimated how much to order for the size of my wedding so we ran out early.

The Cakery was wonderful the made us a beautiful cake that truely was delicious! A pleasure to work with! I would deffinately recomend this vendor to my friends and family!

We were so excited to have such a well-reviewed cake baker in our neck of the woods...and they definitely lived up to the hype. We presented them with a very specific idea for decor and not only were they willing, they were excited for the challenge. And never having been a fan of wedding cake, I was amazed by how GOOD the cake actually was....many guests commented that it was the best cake they had ever had!

We loved, loved, loved our wedding cake from The Cakery! The design was based on our invitations and Linda did a wonderful job of interpreting our wants during the consultation. Then Yarrow did an amazing job of putting it all together. The taste was so incredible that not a single slice was left over!! If I ever am in need of a custom cake in the SLO County area again, they will be my first call.

Looking back on my wedding there is one thing I wish I had more of: the cake! Linda was fun and easy to work with. She brought our simple modern idea to life. The cake tasting process was a pleasure and we didn't have anything to worry about after that; they took care of everything seemlessly. I highly recommend the devilsfood cake. They were all great but that one was really wonderful.

Our wedding cake was lovely and tasted great, but it was our groom's cake that EVERYONE was talking about at our wedding! My husband is a huge fan of the University of Georgia's football team, as were about 1/3 of our guests. The Cakery made a spot-on reproduction of the mascot, "Hairy Dawg." It looked so great, we hated to make the first cut - thank goodness we have about 100 pictures of it!!

We had a great experience at The Cakery! From the first meeting, we could tell they were experts! Lots of great insights about flavors, frosting combos and even guidance about what kind of cake for the weather that day. We can't wait to eat the top layer!

Gorgeous designs and tasty, tasty cakes. I ordered a two tiered cake and two flavored cupcakes. Cupcakes were perfect and super yummy. Cake was beautiful and exactly as I expected and asked for. However, cake was missing two fillings. One on top tier and one on the bottm.
