I can’t say enough good things about this venue. They worked together to make our wedding move seamlessly, even going as far as trying to take a leaf blower to the grass to try to dry out the recent rain. The venue is absolutely beautiful and they went above and beyond to try to help make our day extra special. We are so grateful for everyone who participated and made it all work.
It's been almost two months since our wedding weekend at The Camp at Buffalo Mountain, and I'm still daydreaming about how perfect it was. We live almost six hours away, and wanted a mountain wedding near my husband's family. We spent so much time trying to find the ideal place—most were too expensive to even consider, or too fancy and strict. From the moment we emailed, we were treated with so much respect, kindness, and flexibility. Since we were planning during COVID, we had a lot of requests to keep everyone safe that weekend, and they were so accommodating. Roxanne, Billy, and Matt were there to assist us with every detail during setup and the wedding itself. They gave recommendations for caterers, flowers, and more, and have a ton of stuff to use for decorations if you're doing it yourself like I did. They thought of even the smallest things: mums to decorate the aisle, Roxanne drove me from our house to the aisle, Billy opened them. Matt helped us with photos after the ceremony by driving us around in the golf cart.
The site is just breathtaking. It's remote but close to JC, there are hiking trails on site and it's close to the AT and the Nolichucky River. We had a group of friends and family spend the weekend at the on-site lodging and they had such a good time! We had a giant cookout, a small concert with friends, a pool day, and a bonfire one night. We had plenty of flexibility to clean up when we had time the morning after the wedding, and never felt rushed or stressed. It's dog friendly, so we could have our pups part of our weekend and hang out with their dog Copper too, who my niece adored. We felt so relaxed and comfortable, and I am so grateful. Everyone had a wonderful time and raved about the location, the gorgeous ceremony and reception spots, and the ability to explore the property during the weekend. They all also kept talking about how lovely Roxanne, Matt, and Billy were!
I can't say enough wonderful things about this family and this venue. If you're looking for a destination wedding that feels like home, the Camp is your spot.
Such a beautiful setting! I was a little nervous when we booked because they were fairly new, but all of my fears were relieved during our rehearsal. The venue is a former summer camp . We had our ceremony in a covered outdoor pavilion with ceiling fans, which was perfect for an August wedding. The reception was in the former dining hall, which has a nice rustic feel. Several large sliding doors open to connect it to a patio overlooking the creek. There are several other properties on site, including a house where we all got ready. My husband's family also rented the retreat center, which has 17 bedrooms. They also rented the pool for the weekend, so all the cousins, nieces and nephews could play the afternoon before the wedding. It was a great venue and Roxanne answered every question with such patience. I couldn't recommend this place enough!
The Camp at Buffalo Mountain was the PERFECT place for our outdoor wedding! They have so many different options of where you can set up your ceremony. They also have places that are covered and climate controlled if that is what you are looking for. Roxanne and Matthew are SO helpful and willing to do whatever you might ask of them. We visited the camp 6 different times before our wedding just to get more ideas. They were there every time and had such great inputs and ideas. We used them for our engagement photos as well and we are so in love with the place. I'm sure we will have more photos or ceremonies there in the future!
Amazing venue with the kindest, hardest working, and most efficient staff I’ve ever dealt with! They were eager to please, always had a positive attitude, and never once grumbled for any requests we made. The facilities were in super clean condition and ready for our guests. Thank you for all of your hard work!
My husband and I got married at Allison Lodge at The Camp at Buffalo Mountain in October of 2017. Everyone was so sweet and accommodating! Whether you want an indoor or outdoor wedding, there are plenty of options to choose from and they are all gorgeous! It was truly wonderful having accommodations onsite for all of our out-of-town guests! There are plenty of options, no matter the budget! I will always recommend The Camp at Buffalo Mountain!
I had an outdoor wedding at The Camp at Buffalo Mountain in the fall of 2016. However the camp is beautiful any time of year. The Cox family was so easy to work with. They have several spaces to choose from whether you want an outdoor or indoor wedding. I highly recommend this venue.
Perfect location event! I had my baby shower here and the owners were very accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure that all my needs and wants were met. They offered a lot of items to pull off the perfect baby shower without having to transport a lot of items. I would definitely recommend!
This place was in a beautiful setting! It made it feel like a true country wedding! They had many different places to have the wedding ceremony and they were all just as beautiful. I will forever be recommending this place to everyone!
