The Candle Shoppe designs and creates hand-carved candles as unique decor and gifts for weddings, anniversaries, and other special occasions. Owner and Master Chandler, Joy Kelso, delights in making celebrations even more special with her creations. These candles burn down the center, lighting from within while leaving the carvings on the outside intact. These candles become heirloom items that you can anticipate lighting each year. She originally apprenticed as a Chandler at Kat’s Candles in Nampa, ID, before joining the United States Army. Joy then earned her bachelor's in Theology from Carroll College in Helena, MT, minoring in entrepreneurship. In 2019, her former employer offered her the business and since then, has provided clients with marvelous pieces to lighten their celebrations and deepen their connection.
