It was the perfect space to entertain our family and friends and everyone raved about how beautiful the club was. Dalila worked very hard to make our vision come true and was very reasonable in terms of pricing. Our food, particularly the appetizers, were delicious and the servers were very friendly and efficient. We would certainly recommend Old South as a wonderful place to host an event!

he venue was so accommodating and I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone -- it's a great alternative during the summer months when you're worried about beach traffic or expenses associated with Annapolis. I would be remiss if I didn't give a special shout-out to Dalila, who was from catering and our coordinator for the reception. Dalila was completely and totally professional, very communicative, and very very sweet. She really went the extra mile making sure everything was set up properly, looked nice, and everything was taken care of. We didn't hire a wedding planner for the wedding, but with her competence I really did not feel like I needed to. The reception went off without a hitch, and she even made sure to set aside some food and drinks for the bridal party during cocktail hour (we took pictures during that time) so that we had something to eat -- which I'm not sure is something I would have thought of otherwise. She gave helpful decorating tips and suggestions (I love Pinterest, but implementing all of that is something I'm less familiar with) and just helped ME a ton as a semi-overwhelmed bride (was also dealing with a move and a job change). I was totally confident in her ability and I was not disappointed! Amazing amazing amazing!

She took care of EVERYTHING, helped us get the best prices, had amazing ideas, hand decorated everything with us the day before and day of the wedding, and was ultimately just wonderful, upbeat, and responsible in every respect. The food was outstanding - we did steak tips and chicken Chesapeake combo. There was so much space upstairs, and even though it was a chilly rainy night - my guests and I LOVED the balconies upstairs as a place to catch a breather when the dance floor got hot! We had a live band and a DJ, and Old South was so accommodating for both. We even had a friend play acoustic downstairs during happy hour - Old South has the amenities to accommodate everything we wanted to do! Lara had them put white twinkle lights in the front trees the day before the wedding, and they looked beautiful. All of the vendors had access to the club the whole day before - something I can say for sure was NEVER offered to us at any other venue we spoke to. Lara handled the linens - she gave me the options but made the order herself and the club set them up so I never had to worry about it. My wedding colors were purple and grey - and I was worried that they would clash with the light colors in the ballroom upstairs, but you would be AMAZED at the way that the ballroom transforms! It was an absolute wonderland, and with all of the tables set up - my color scheme was all you could see! (We had about 155 guests). Another great feature was the staircase - my husband and I each had 13 attendants, and the staircase made a great background for pictures. The club even let us decorate the banisters with gorgeous magnolia leaves (they also let us hang magnolia wreaths on the front doors!). We had our ceremony in Annapolis and rented buses for the wedding party and some of our guests to take to the club afterwards. I would definitely recommend this, and it wasn't too difficult to find a bus company that gave us a great deal for the rental for the night. All of our guests were so impressed with the beauty, elegance, and spaciousness of the club. It was all around perfection. The service was outstanding - Lara is one of a kind! She even booked our wedding night suite for us! The food came out hot and all at the same time, drinks were filled all night, the bartenders were great, and everything we asked for was done - plus more! Lara added little surprises for me and my husband and remembered every request we had ever made! The oak room downstairs was perfect for happy hour. We had pre-poured glasses of wine - as well as the active bar with bartenders. We even got to decorate the mantle and had a roaring fire going through the night! If you want a place that will pull out all the stops, impress your guests, and make it a stress-free experience for you - there is no other option! I recommend Old South for a wedding 100%. everages and hors d'oeuvres ready for the wedding party and the staff was serving the guests with military precision. From the cocktail hour to the seated dinner, the food was exceptional. All of the guests had positive comments on their meals and about the abundance of space and atmosphere of the clubhouse! The night went without a hitch thanks to the wedding coordinator and her fantastic staff. When we talk to friends and family, they cannot say enough how our wedding was one of the best they have attended. We thank Old South so much for their hard work and for such a beautiful celebration!
