I love working with couples who are looking for clothing that can fit their own unique story and aesthetic. The one-of-a-kind pieces I create are painted entirely by hand for your day and the days after. Something for Everyone Painted clothing and accessories can give anyone a special look for the day, including brides, grooms, non-traditional couples, and members of your family or wedding party. No facet of wedding fashion is overlooked. One couple I worked with commissioned a painted dress for their flower girl--the bride's grandmother! Eco-Friendly Fashion I promote conscious and slower fashion by painting items either given to me by the client or high-quality secondhand pieces. If you don't have an item to personalize yet--for example, if you are looking for your bridal dress--We'll work together to find the perfect piece(s) to paint. Rather than one-use pieces, clients often end up with items they can wear over and over again after the event. My Process and Materials Couples may commission single items, such as a vest or formal jumpsuit, as well as matching or complimenting sets for the whole party. Ties or scarves make great gifts for groomsmen, bridesmaids, or members of the family! I offer deals for multi-item/larger commissions. Outfits or items can be painted however much or little you desire. Some are looking for a simple aesthetic or a little pop of interest, and might request a small motif, color, or pattern on an item. Others want a show-stopper ensemble that is fully painted, or still others are somewhere in the middle with a partially painted piece. I work closely with you in creating a look that exactly fits your vision, and can paint any subject matter in any aesthetic or style. This includes a design consultation followed by sketches and/or samples in a detailed dive of your piece(s). You continue to be involved in every step of the process through updates as I work. The paints I use are specialized for fabric, and I have not yet met one they don't work on. I will always consult with you in the rare case that either of us has concerns. Clothing/fabrics retain their washability post painting as well--for instance, a dress that was machine washable will stay that way after I paint it; a dry clean-only tie will still need to be dry cleaned if needed. The paints are colorfast through many wears and washes. As everything is done by hand, larger or more complex projects may take a month or more to complete depending on my workload.
