The Cataract Falls Lodge and Wedding Veranda is located in Owen County at the entrance to the Cataract Falls State Recreation Area. The park itself is home to two of the largest waterfall structures in the Midwest. The Lodge property is surrounded by the park and supports both an Indoor and outdoor wedding experience for up to 70 guests. The lodge has 4 private suites for wedding preparation to include overnight accommodations for up to 16 people. In addition to private suites the property has an indoor/outdoor event space with a 400 sq. foot covered veranda, 5 pavilions and patios, 4 fire pits, 2 bathrooms and onsite parking. Additional properties close to the lodge are owned by the same owner and operate as AIRBNB's for additional guests. Your wedding experience at the Lodge is two-fold: First there is the stay that can comfortably support up to 16 people with overnight accommodations, then comes the event: Indoor and outdoor space to support up to 70 guests. The venue comes with tables and chairs at no additional cost.

We went when there was still snow and ice on the ground so we were unable to walk the path. But it was beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful place. So peaceful and tranquil , my favorite stop of our weekend getaway. The park is beautifully maintained, the falls and bridge were gorgeous. Nature at its finest.

What a beautiful location. I'm so glad I took the opportunity to stop there. Seeing it in the snow was picturesque. Will go back on my next trip through. If it's warmer, I'll bring lunch and just sit and listen to the sound of the waterfall

Great place to take the family. Easy hiking, and plenty of parking. You are plenty of freedom of access, and are allowed to go out and explore the falls. Restrooms are located at lower falls.

We stopped at Cataract Falls on our way to another state park, and it was a pleasant side trip. The falls are pretty and easy to access, with both an upper and lower falls area to check out. It doesn’t take long to see both, but each has its ow...

n charm and is worth a look. The setting is peaceful, and there are plenty of spots where you can sit and enjoy the view or have a picnic. It’s not really a place to spend the whole day, but it’s a great stop to stretch your legs, take some photos, and enjoy a bit of nature before moving on to your next destination.
