but I want to share my experience under the new management and event coordination team because they completely exceeded my expectations. We had our wedding there on October 2nd, and from start to finish, I could not have been happier with how everything went. The biggest thing for me was that I genuinely didn’t have to worry about a thing on my wedding day. Megan and Chelsea, who run the events, were absolutely amazing. They were incredibly organized, responsive, accommodating, and communicative throughout the entire planning process. I always felt like I was in good hands, and that gave me so much peace of mind leading up to the wedding. They were also extremely flexible and wonderful to work with when it came to our vendors. Our entire vendor team was more than I could have asked for, and the Boathouse team played a huge role in making the day feel seamless and truly special. If you are considering the Central Park Boathouse for your wedding, I would absolutely recommend it. The new team is doing an incredible job, and our experience was nothing short of amazing. 10/10 would recommend! ❤️

She gave us the flexibility to create our own floor plan, which was so important to us, and whenever we wanted to bounce ideas off of her or needed advice, she was always there with thoughtful suggestions. She made the planning process fun and stress-free. Even when we had a few guests cancel at the last minute, she handled the changes without any issue, making what could have been a stressful situation completely seamless. On our wedding day, the entire staff was exceptional. From the bartenders and servers to the chefs and kitchen staff, everyone was professional, attentive, and incredibly kind. Our guests are still talking about how pleasant and organized the staff was and how their level of service made the evening feel so elegant and elevated. The culinary team was equally outstanding. The chef worked with us to customize our menu and was happy to make adjustments to fit exactly what we wanted. They were extremely organized when it came to accommodating food allergies and dietary restrictions, and every guest was taken care of without any confusion. The food was served quickly, was beautifully presented, and was absolutely delicious. Months later, our guests are still raving about it! The sea bass, ravioli, and beef entrées were all phenomenal. The venue itself is simply breathtaking. Having cocktail hour outside overlooking the pond in the heart of Central Park created the most magical atmosphere, and then transitioning into the beautiful reception space inside made the entire evening feel elegant, timeless, and uniquely New York City. It truly brought our wedding vision to life. Everything about our experience at the Central Park Boathouse exceeded our expectations. The professionalism, attention to detail, incredible food, beautiful setting, and outstanding service made our wedding day absolutely perfect. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a single thing. We cannot recommend the Central Park Boathouse highly enough!

From our very first inquiry & site visit, Susan was warm, responsive, detail-oriented, and incredibly helpful in guiding us through the booking process & securing our date. We were admittedly a bit nervous about planning a wedding in Central Park & wanted to make sure we understood how everything would work. Susan was patient, thorough, & always willing to answer our many questions. She made us feel comfortable & confident from day one. We're forever grateful for the care & reassurance she provided during such an important decision-making process. Without Susan, I'm not sure we would have felt as comfortable moving forward, & I'm SO glad we did. Once booked, we worked closely with Megan on every aspect of planning. Not only is Megan exceptionally kind & thoughtful, but she’s also incredibly organized & attentive. She understood every question, concern, & request, and consistently went above & beyond to ensure everything was in place. Despite managing multiple other events, Megan always made time for us. She was responsive, patient, flexible, & made us feel like a priority throughout the entire process. She carefully tracked every detail we discussed & made us feel heard every step of the way. What truly set Megan apart was her attitude. With every request, Megan responded with positivity, optimism, & a genuine eagerness to make it happen. That level of partnership & enthusiasm is rare when working with venues / vendors. She coordinated seamlessly with all of our vendors (florist, music, deliveries, etc.) - making everything remarkably stress-free. Megan also genuinely cared. Throughout the planning process, she would regularly check in to see how I was doing, ask if there was anything stressing me out, & reassure me whenever I felt overwhelmed. She never made me feel silly for obsessing over small details & was incredibly patient & understanding when my family & I asked the same question more than once :) When our wedding weekend arrived, we felt complete trust & confidence knowing Megan & her team were behind the scenes handling every detail. Everything was flawless. We couldn't have planned this wedding in 6 months without her. I also want to recognize the rest of the incredible CPB staff. During our menu tasting, the chef & service team created SUCH a thoughtful & beautiful experience. They took the time to personally introduce themselves & walk us through every detail. It meant a lot to us. They also introduced us to Robin, who would be our dedicated server on our wedding day. When the big day arrived, it was SO nice to already know the incredibly kind Robin. She went above & beyond to make sure my husband & I had everything we needed & that we were comfortable throughout the evening. I will never forget Robin's warm, calm, and reassuring presence. She even helped bustle my dress! To the entire team - Susan, Megan, Robin, the lovely Banquet Manager Zach, the very talented Chef Adam Ficus & so many more - THANK YOU. You are truly exceptional at what you do. You made us feel genuinely cared for every step of the way. dless, and are now wishing we hadn’t wasted our time. The event sales manager Susan Hettinger was unprofessional and made the whole booking experience confusing and stressful. After some initial back and forth via emails, we scheduled a walk-through. After the walk-through, Susan began to repeatedly drop the ball with communication, often needing several reminders before she would follow up with info or answers to our questions, and missing deadlines she herself set for us. We addressed our concerns about communication with her, and she told us it was because she was on vacation/sick, which is likely a lie since she has another event coordinator that works with her, Gabbie Cusick. If you were actually OOO or sick, wouldn’t your colleague follow up with your clients? Nevertheless, we moved forward with contract signing. We were told we would get our contract on a Monday. It is now Friday, and we still haven’t gotten the contract. I can’t believe we wasted 2 weeks of time that could’ve been spent doing actual wedding planning. Susan Hettinger and Legends Hospitality, you should be ashamed of yourselves for the way you treat potential clients.
