THE CENTURY
The Century is a chic, urban venue located in Modesto, California. Built in the early 1900s, this historic building has exposed brick walls, tall ceilings, beautiful crystal chandeliers and gorgeous acacia wood floors. In addition to the grand ballroom thereâs also an amazing patio with a spectacular brick wall and vintage mirrors and exclusive VIP suites on the premises. Couples looking for a modern venue with a touch of vintage glamour need to look no further than The Century.

NINE3ONE
Nine3One is a coworking facility located next door to The Century that opened 2019. Nine3One features 3 unique event spaces on the lower level of the building.
The Alcove is the main event space that leads out into The Botanical Breezeway.
The Botanical Breezeway is a completely covered outdoor space that runs the length of the entire building.
The Bouquet Bar is another smaller event space at the front end of The Botanical Breezeway that is perfect for smaller parties and also makes a great space for cocktail hour.
Capacity:
Up to 70 guests when using all three spaces. Capacity for The Bouquet Bar only is up to 30 guests.

When I started my venue hunt I knew I wanted an all inclusive venue that offered a space for ceremony, reception and get ready rooms for myself (bride) and the groom. Not only that...
but a space that had a natural beauty. When I came across The Century on Facebook and Yelp, it had caught my attention and I had to schedule a tour right away. As soon as we got to the venue for our first tour and meeting, I instantly knew it was the venue I had been looking for. The venue overall was beautiful, such a perfect backdrop for a wedding that you don't need to do much but add your own personal touch to make it more personalized. Without any hesitation, we had booked and secured our wedding date April 11, 2025.
Erica, Venue Manager and coordinator, WAS AMAZING!!!! She guided us through everything, she is very attentive, incredibly polite and patient. She made us feel comfortable and the whole process felt so smooth, easy and stress free. Whenever I had any questions, Erica was quick to answer.
OMG then the food, let me tell you our guest could not stop talking about the food. They enjoyed everything that was served. Thank you Chef Rob and the whole team for the amazing food!! The food tasting experience was great and the quality stayed consistent on the day of wedding. They were also accommodating to our concerns regarding any food allergies.
I did have a concern about not allowing shots of liquor, but on wedding day there was no complaints from anyone. All our guest enjoyed the signature cocktails (Blackberry Mule, Hibiscus Margarita and Old Fashioned).
The vision we had was really brought to life. I was definitely able to just enjoy our wedding day and be present! Erica and team handled every detail during wedding day, from setting up to breaking down (clean up). Wedding day went by so fast, but was so flawless.

Chef Robert truly made the dining experience unforgettable. After our tasting, we were beyond excited for the big day, and the food absolutely lived up to our expectations. It was delicious. Chef Robertâs culinary expertise was clear in every bite.
Erica Ford, our event planner, was exceptional. She is incredibly experienced and knowledgeable, and from start to finish, she was both professional and kind. Erica helped us stay within budget while making sure everything was exactly how we envisioned it. She took care of every detail, allowing me to fully enjoy the wedding without needing to assist with anything. On the day of the wedding, Erica and her team worked seamlessly behind the scenes, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Their customer service was outstanding, and they went above and beyond to make everything perfect. I even had team members thank us for being such a great wedding party, which really speaks to how rare it is to find a team with such genuine care and dedication.

the whole wedding experience is a little romanticized but I still expected to feel happy and excited while planning my wedding, and even more so the day of. I live in Sacramento where venues are quite expensive, so when I stumbled upon the century, I couldnât believe it was so affordable and full service! We toured the venue and loved it so much we put our deposit down the same day.
Fast forward to planning, and we find out it is not in fact full service as advertised on the website. There is no in house dj or baker. You also cannot get any decor you want, which is what Allison made it seem like. The choices were very limited for what is included, unless you want to pay extra for outside resources. The in house florist is so unprofessional and rude, and she will charge you an arm and a leg for subpar services. The chef is very nice but I donât think catering for more than 40 people is his forte, as nearly none of our guests enjoyed their food. It wasnât fresh or even warm, both proteins were undercooked, and everything was bland, aside from the goat cheese potatoes. We asked for salt and pepper shakers to be on every table and that was forgotten like a lot of other things.
Due to the lack of adequate staffing, my poor coordinator had to do the work of many coordinators trying to accommodate brides that had been abandoned by their coordinators, which I believed stretched her very thin, causing details we had discussed on more than one occasion to be forgotten. Such details include: they way my napkins were to be folded, the way my menus were to be placed, the two tables of important guests that were to be served, not made to go through the buffet line, the fact that my cake at 3 flavors not 1, the order in which the speeches and performance were to go, which decor was mine and which was theirs, and lastly, the announcement about my guest phone book (guests are to leave a message for the bride and groom on the phone at the entrance of the ballroom. Since no announcement was made in the beginning or close to the end, 12 of our 51 guests actually did it).
The thing that makes me pretty mad still, is that they ruined my wedding cake and then blamed one of my guests for it. I was told when she was given the cake while sitting in the car, she reached over for something and tipped the cake over. No one told me that happened and when I asked my guest, she said she did not tip the cake over but did realize it looked smashed when she looked in the box. There is way too much damage to the cake to have simply been tipped over. Upon opening the box, I saw the entire bottom was sunk in and cracked as if it had been dropped, and our cake topper was smashed into pieces buried in the cake. They also only cut a small portion of the bottom layer, and did not give the rest back. We received two top layers of cake, so where did the rest of the third layer go? On the floor perhaps?
I wouldnât say donât have your wedding here, but I would say definitely ask a lot of questions, write everything down, and most of all, donât pick a venue based on saving money. All in, I couldâve just had my wedding locally.

The chef, the banquet staff, the bar staff, security, everyone was so professional, on top of EVERYTHING, and made it so we had zero worries on our day. Our wedding day was a complete dream, and that's because of The Century and their amazing team of dedicated, professional, caring employees!
Speaking of which, Leticia from Hand Creations Floral, their in house florist, brought my visions to life and moved me to tears with her execution! She was so easy to work with, understood our needs and vision with very minimal direction (I knew what I wanted but didn't always know how to vocalize it), and executed beyond my wildest dreams! My bouquet, which were the only flowers I had other than boutonnieres and corsages, exceeded my wildest dreams! The attention to detail, her ability to capture everything I wanted represented, and the sheer beauty could not have been accomplished with anyone else.
I will sing the praises of The Century and their team from the rooftops! One of the best decisions we made for our wedding!

Our wedding date became her funeral date, and the idea of celebrating a wedding no longer felt right. We decided to elope, but by May, we reconsidered and opted for a small wedding instead.
Thatâs when I reached out to Nine3One. Their responsiveness was immediate; we scheduled a tour for the same week, and as soon as we walked in, my husband and I knew we had found the perfect venue. We had our initial meeting with Erin, and then Erica took over to handle the details. Second, the entire staff at The Century was so kind and attentive. Any questions we had were answered quickly and we were never left waiting or having to play phone tag which helped ease a lot of anxieties throughout the process.
Third, The Century has very reasonable pricing options in place. They have an in-house caterer and florist and offer beverage packages as well. Their various pricing options for services were perfect for giving us options that helped keep us within budget.
Best of all, their base price includes a wedding coordinator! We were so lucky to have Erica as our coordinator! She is so kind and attentive and absolutely went above and beyond throughout the entire process. If we had a question or concern, it was answered and taken care of immediately. ystal Brouwer. She gave me the tour, and I absolutely fell in love with the venue. Crystal was so patient, honest and understanding. I knew I had to book this venue, and lo and behold; May 25, 2024 was booked for me (and my fiance) of course.
Then I met Tatiana Lopez. My coordinator, savior and all around superwoman. She coordinated our tasting, our floral appointments with decorations⊠I must have emailed her over 500 times. And she was so patient, understanding and she also alleviated any anxiety. All the small details, the big details, the details I didnât even think of⊠she got it done! Chef Robert Root was in charge of our Buffett dinner. Our first tasting did not go as well, so we were able to do another one. Needless to say; the dinner was a success. (Guests would not stop complimenting the food.)
The day of my wedding; Tatiana was there every step of the way. I would have forgotten to eat and drink if it werenât for her! I blinked and I swear everything was going by so fast, and Tatiana was here to cue us and kept the timeline on track. Before I knew it, everything was packed and ready to go for us. I must also highlight the incredible work of Leticia, the talented florist who curated the most stunning flowers for our special day. She's an absolute artist. Not only did she bring my vision to life, but she also transformed a collection of brooches I'd been gathering for years into a breathtaking bouquet. Her attention to detail, including the thoughtful incorporation of my late father, was incredibly touching. Leticia's dedication to making our day unforgettable was remarkable.

From decorations, to signage, and all the little details in between, we put our trust in her and she went above and beyond to make our vision come true. After our wedding, we received endless compliments about how much fun and how beautiful the whole event turned out. Not to mentioned she was SO awesome to hang out with throughout the whole process. Choosing The Century was a no brainer - it was my first and only choice for a wedding venue. The venue is in the heart of downtown, in a beautiful historic building tucked away, and in walking distance from the DoubleTree hotel which was convenient to lodge traveling guests. The all inclusive service was another main selling point. This made my wedding planning as stress free as possible knowing all my vendors were a one stop shop and were in coordination of one another. Just showing up the day off with no worries or concerns was a real blessing!

Overall, itâs actually pretty affordable and thereâs always promotions going on for some good deals. I stalked their social media accounts and made sure to go to their open houses to score on their raffles: free appetizers and 30% off their base price. Fantastic deal!
The big reason why I chose The Century was because of the all inclusivity. They literally take care of everything: venue, decor, floral, food, drinks, even DJ services!! And letâs not forget to mention they have the best wedding coordinators.
We started off planning with Crystal. She is so sweet and attentive. From the very beginning, Crystal listened to every concern and question we had and always put us at ease. Sheâs so easy going and always supportive of our ideas. She helped us every step of the way, but at the end we had to switch to Tatiana and Meoshay. Leticia was our florist and she nailed my vibe completely! Literally brought my Pinterest board to life.
To say that our wedding day was amazing is an understatement. When the day came, Tatiana was on top of every single detail and event that pertained to our timeline. She made the day so stress free and fun. We loved having her around to help with everything, especially our kids. She put out so many little fires throughout the night and we couldnât be more thankful. I also MUST mention that Crystal and my husband planned to surprise me the night of our wedding and romantically decorate the hotel room. It was so beautifully done.

ue while scrolling around on Instagram and thought that it looked promising. We went to visit during one of their open houses, and the moment we walked through the door, we knew it was the one. Totallyyyyy our style and vibe. We booked almost instantly and from that moment on, it was smooth sailing. Our event director was Crystal and she helped keep us on track up until the big day! The venue itself is so beautiful on its own. We added our own personal touches and this just added to the whole urban-chic vibe of the place. They also offer additional options to really make your theme the star (like linens and chargers)! The day-of ran so smoothly thanks to Crystal, she and the rest of the team at The Century 100% know how to run their events. Our photographer also told us they appreciated how smoothly they transitioned the ballroom from the ceremony set-up to the reception set-up. In the beginning, we also wondered if we would be happy with the food and floral since we wouldn't get to choose external vendors for this, but we honestly LOVED our dinner so much (and we actually got to eat!), and the florist captured our Pinterest board TO A TEE! We opted to go with their preferred DJ as well, and he may have strayed a tiny bit from our original song choices, but he definitely still stayed in the realm of what we wanted to dance to. Overall, we couldn't be happier with how our wedding night turned out. Our 140 guests enjoyed the night and appreciated the beauty just as much as we did!

The Century provided the most beautiful venue and the most amazing staff which included their fabulous wedding planner, Crystal.
From the minute we met Crystal, we loved her. You could tell she had been doing this for years and was completely dialed in. She listened to our requests and made every single one happen. She provided insight, offered advice, and made the entire experience from beginning to end a wedding fairytale.
The food was AMAZING!!! Let's be real, most brides hardly ever even eat at their wedding... but not me, I couldn't stop, the food was THAT AMAZING!!!
The bartenders were rock stars! They kept the drinks flowing at a rapid pace with smiles on their faces!
They worked with Flower Creations to bring to light my vision of beauty, using fresh and silk flowers (per my request) and the bridal and groom suites were decorated beautifully. We were able to get a few pictures in the Bridal Suite and they turned out gorgeous.

The price for an all-inclusive package cannot be beat (especially compared the Bay Area where we're from). Instead of having to find our own vendors, we got a planner, food, cake, DJ, and floral arrangements through The Century. There were a few snags, but Allison worked diligently to manage my anxiety and offer solutions.
Overall this has been a wonderful experience and I wouldn't hesitate to send my friends over for their events here.

ithin budget but were pleasantly surprised they could do everything we wanted AND be affordable! We worked with Allison to make our evening perfect. We booked the Alcove room with the breezeway for our very small wedding (35 people). She did cocktail seating in the Alcove room, and the bar and food tables were in the breezeway. It was a December wedding but you'd never know with how warm they were able to keep the breezeway with heaters. We did small bites (more accurate of the time period). We were able to use the wine barrel with the arch during the ceremony which was just *chef's kiss* perfect for the theme. The tables had empty decanters wrapped in pearls on them. Staff filled our wedding glass favors with beer for the toast for us. I award them 4 stars because Allison was easy to work with and had some really great ideas and the price was honestly fantastic. We deduct one star for the last-minute food substitutions (some items we chose were seasonal at the time we chose them and they had been replaced) so we got little burgers instead of sliders and we got little parfaits for dessert instead of petite fours. Not that big of a deal to us, but it might be to others. Fantastic service! I think you will love them.

My husband loved that we only had to communicate with one person for all our needs and Tatiana was the best! She honestly made the planning so easy and stress free for us even with my husband's millions of questions. She was so punctual in her responses and reached out for every little detail. The centurw was beautiful and so many people gave us compliments on how well organized and beautiful everything looked. They staff helped us so much when it came to our worries anout COVID. We did not know what would happen, but the manager reassured us that they would respect prices, we would be able to reschedule and no additional cost, and made us feel better about the uncertainty. The dressing rooms were both great! The guys loved the complimentary beer and video games while my ladies enjoyed the champage and music. The florist was so kind and made sure my visison came alive. At no point did we feel we were just another client with money, we felt like they gave us their full attention and made our night exactly how we wanted. Tatiana went as far as letting me know the number of people showing up before our ceremony so that i could choose when i wanted to start. The ceremony went uninterrupted thanks to her closing the doors and opening them for other guests only after my ceremony was over. I give them my highest reccomendation! And we got a discount at the Double Tree hotel nearby for booking the venue!

with any changes and/or concerns and always received a speedy response. She was on top of everything at all times, always in contact to remind us of meetings, appts, etc. And on the day of, saw everything through and made sure to take as much stress off our plate as possible.
The venue itself is beautiful, my only complaint was the floral/florist. Certain things came out Exactly how I wanted and others didnât. Iâm not sure if it was miscommunication between us but she did have Pinterest pictures as well so Iâm really just not sure what happened there. Our arch and table settings all looked good but our sweetheart table arrangement, floral for signs and miscellaneous tables were not what I was expecting and honestly disappointing which is why i did not give 5 stars.

Our DJ was personable and fun! The music kept us entertained as we celebrated while enjoying each other's company. I was a very âchill, relaxedâ bride (read: no idea how I wanted everything to look), and our planner Courtney really helped us envision the space and how things would look pulled together. This helped so, so much.
Everyone did an incredible job, our florist Leticia, our caterer Chef Kathy, our DJ George with Sounds in Motion, and our photobooth coordinator as well.
I canât recommend the Century enough to anyone who is looking for a wedding that is perfectly planned, elegant, FUN!, and the kind of wedding your guests still talk about months later.

ose the elopement plus package, which included 50 guests and 3 hours at the venue. They were GREAT to tailor the day to our needs. It is a great option for a cost effective wedding that is still magical and beautiful. In the end everything turned out great. They did cancel the photographer we had asked for due to conflicting dates on papers that I had already brought to there attention. They went above and beyond to fix the problem, which I was impressed and grateful for. The DJ also did not have the file for me walking down the aisle and came to ask me about it AS WE WERE LINING UP! We were able to get the file and it worked out but it is not the kind of stress you want right at that moment. There were a couple of other small things as well. I would definitely do it all again but would be much more on top of communication.

You can tell they are very passionate with what they do. Everyone was also so sweet and took the time to make sure my husband and I were doing OK.
There are many wedding venues out there. However, there are not many that has a team that works so well and treat their clients and their guests with kindness and great customer service.
Not to mention, our limo cancelled on us few days before the wedding and we couldn't find one last minute that will transport 15-20 people. We told Erin our issue and she went above and beyond. Luckily she found one for us. To say we hardly write reviews says a lot. We are truly ecstatic that we came across The Century.
