We held our wedding reception at The Chapel Athens in June, and we are SO glad that we picked them! The venue was perfect for us: It’s a gorgeous setting within walking distance to all of downtown Athens, and we loved the indoor-outdoor ability of the space. We set up a tent in the outside courtyard, and guests enjoyed hanging out there in addition to the indoor space. The original church ceiling is beautiful and made for excellent acoustics for our band. One of the main feedback that we received from our guests was that they loved the food- multiple people told us that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had! Meagan and her team made the night seamless- the buffet was efficient and quick, and nobody had to wait for a drink at the bar. If possible, Meagan was able to honor all of our extra requests. We would absolutely choose The Chapel Athens over and over again! Thank you for making the reception of our dreams!

The Chapel Athens is seriously the BEST venue to have your wedding reception at! I have actually been an employee at Athens Food Group (The Chapel Athens + Georgian Hall) for almost 3 years now, and I can say without a doubt our staff is the best! Working behind the scenes, I can vouch for everything we do to prepare for each individual event and the effort that all of the staff members put into making the experience incredible for guests. That is why without a second thought trusted The Chapel Athens staff to give us the best experience ever! Meg went above and beyond for us during every step of the planning process and ensured every single part of our wedding went smoothly. I truly cannot recommend all of the managers at The Chapel Athens enough! Having worked with all of them, you are always in good hands! The food and specialty cocktails were absolutely incredible, and many of our guests were sure to tell us how great everything was! The servers and bartenders are all wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed!

I wish there were more stars to rate The Chapel Athens, I'd give them 10! My daughter and son-in-law held their wedding reception at The Chapel on 5/18/24. The evening was nothing short of magical. Maddie was excellent to work with as we planned this special day. Maddie and her staff went above and beyond during the reception. In fact, Lindsey sought out my husband and I (who were busy greeting guests) to make sure we were eating and taken care of. I'll never forget that. Our guests raved about the venue, the service, the staff, the ambiance, and the FOOD! Everyone had the best time. We are still re-living the experience every day and cannot thank The Chapel team enough. You helped to make that Saturday night the very best of "Athens hospitality" and a truly memorable experience for the bride, groom, family members and friends.

We had my sons rehearsal dinner at The Chapel on May 31, 2024 and it was absolutely perfect. The venue is bright and welcoming with an outside space for the bar or buffet and an upstairs mezzanine too. There a tons of ways to decorate the space too. Everything was just the way I wanted it. The coordinator Meagan was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the whole process. This was especially important because I was doing all the planning from out of town. The food was wonderful. Everyone commented on it. The staff was attentive but yet not in the way. They made everything easy and very special. I can’t recommend this venue enough.

My son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner was at The Chapel Athens on 5/17/2024, and thanks largely to Maddie and her wonderful staff, it was a truly memorable and wonderful evening! The venue is beautiful, and the food was delicious (several guests spoke to me about how good the food was,) but what I truly appreciated, as the mother of the groom who was planning this event, was Maddie's patient help throughout the process. She must have answered a million questions, always in a friendly and kind manner, and she thought of important details that I would NEVER have considered, but which were important! I was so grateful to have her help! I fully recommend The Chapel Athens and its staff!

My husband and I got married at The Chapel on 4/20/2024, and it was spectacular. The venue itself is stunning, but it was our venue coordinator, Maddie, and her incredible staff who made our day absolutely perfect. The transition of the space from ceremony to reception was seamless, and cocktail hour on the patio in between was gorgeous. You will not regret having your wedding here!

My husband and I had an AMAZING experience working with The Chapel Athens! They were quick to respond, met with us to answer questions, and made booking, paying, and communicating effortless. Having food and rentals included in the price was so helpful with a short timeline. The food was OUTSTANDING and our guests raved about it. The room flip was very quick and efficient. The whole team made our day feel so perfect and effortless. Maddie McCullough was our venue manager and answered all of our questions with clarity and kindness. We would get married there all over again!!!

Would 100% recommend this venue to anyone looking for a staff who is going to go above and beyond to make your experience unforgettable. Maddie, Lindsay, and the rest of the support staff were so great to work along with. They gave great input into different seating arrangements and layouts so that our reception highlighted all the things that were important to us. The food was absolutely amazing, and there are plenty of great options to choose from. They were also great with recommending diffent wedding day planners, photographers, bands, and other vendors who they have had great experiences with in the best. 10/10 recommend.

I had the pleasure of planning a wedding at The Chapel Athens and only have good things to say. Maddie and Lindsey were very organized and easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding day. On the wedding day, their amazing staff had everything under control. When a room flip is involved, it's nice to know there are enough hands on deck to get the job done. The venue itself is stunning. Some of my favorite features are: the natural light, the uniquely detailed ceiling, and the prime location. Would work with this venue again in a heartbeat! 10/10 recommend!

We had the BEST time at the Chapel Athens on Saturday . I have been a wedding planner at a Country Club for over 40 years and have seen a thing or two . The ceremony was flawlessly executed The venue was gorgeous and very well laid out for mingling and socializing during the cocktail hour. The courteous waitstaff were circulating delicious hors d’oeuvres continually and the efficient bar staff never had a line at either bar. The main course set up as stations was a great idea that kept long lines from forming. Food ( especially my favorite, the tenderloin) was superb ! The dj kept the dance floor packed which is the sign of a great party!! All and all….. a terrific time

Maddie, Lindsey, and the team at the Chapel were so great to work with - they were super responsive upon initial contact about wedding weekend availability at their locations. We ended up selected the Chapel for our rehearsal dinner and it could not have been more perfect! With it being a new site/the project was still in development when we booked, their team knew exactly how to ensure timelines/plans/decor/etc would look and come together to make us feel confident in how our rehearsal dinner would come to life. Maddie was a fantastic partner in the food tasting/selection, seating timelines and flow of the night, planning to overall dinner atmosphere (picking out linens,recommendations on decor, etc) - the night went SO smoothly and turned out better than i could have ever imagined!! The space is stunning with its natural beautiful architecture, and makes for a perfect wedding weekend venue. Highly recommend Maddie, Lindsey and the whole team - and highly recommend The Chapel space!!!!

I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect wedding. The venue, Maddie specifically (thank you!!), helped make planning as stress free as possible - even when there were a few hiccups with being the first wedding ceremony there. Everyone involved on the day of was so nice and worked so well together with flipping the room and all aspects of setting up. There is no way the food could’ve been bad considering the catering group, but that also more than exceeded expectations. Beautiful venue and beautiful experience. Thank you all so much!

We cannot begin to sing the praises enough of the Chapel and their amazing team. We picked the Chapel even before renovations began on the historic venue all in part to the incredible vision cast by Lindsey and Maddie. Their team created the most magical wedding venue in downtown Athens, GA-- a little classic, a little modern- the perfect amount of character to accommodate any type and size of wedding. They kept us up to date throughout the whole process. Planning a wedding in a brand new space may seem daunting, but Lindsey and Maddie pulled it off brilliantly without any hitches. It was so easy to trust them throughout the process. It was beautiful and flawless. Their attention to detail and style is unmatched. From the upstairs bar area to the transitional outdoor area with heaters (great for a January wedding!!) to the mixture of new and original features, we were completely in awe. Our family and friends have been so incredibly complimentary of the staff, the venue, and everything with it. It was so perfect. We are so honored to have been the first wedding, and we cannot wait to see the chapel continue to grow and shine!
