About this vendor
Nestled within beautiful parkland, The Charlotte Museum of History is a captivating modern wedding venue close to Uptown Charlotte, NC. Built on the site of the 1774 Alexander Rock House, this impressive setting is steeped in culture and regional heritage. Here, surrounded by historic landmarks and treasured acres, you can host a wedding celebration for the ages.
Standing proud on an eight-acre wooded campus, The Charlotte Museum of History is a beloved community center dedicated to enriching future minds. The venue boasts a generous selection of indoor and outdoor spaces for your event, which includes its multiple galleries. Through the charming woodland of oaks and ferns, you will find an array of park-like settings upon which to share your sweet vows. On cloudier days, guests can watch you join in matrimony in the first-floor Great Hall or Sign Gallery. Alternatively, the space can easily transform into an intimate dining space for seated guests. The Great Hall can lend its contemporary interiors for a seated meal of 160 beneath its elegant chandelier. Elsewhere, The Sign Gallery is a gorgeous setting where you can host 125 friends and family for drinks reception or share a wedding breakfast with 80. You will have no shortage of picture-worthy backdrops, with the grand staircase being the most enchanting.

The venue is completely open to your unique design, with the opportunity for you to enlist a favored caterer or choose from a stellar recommendation. To help streamline the day, the venue offers a selection of rental items such as chairs, banquet tables, and round tables. Additionally, you can also avail of private access to the grounds for an engagement photo session with your chosen photographer as well as reduced rates for a wedding shower.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will never be able to truly express my gratitude. From chaos to smooth sailing, the coordinator and her staff handled it all. If I could do it all over again I wouldn’t change a thing!
This venue is an absolute must! Our day couldn’t have been more perfect. From the second we walked in to the moment of our departure the staff was incredible. Our planner new exactly what was best for us, perfect location!
Sty away from this venue. The staff is not very friendly. My wedding day was ruined by actions from event coordinator Tracey.
