Working with Vanessa and the team at The Chocolate Rose for our wedding was hands-down one of the best decisions we made. From our very first interaction, communication was incredi...
bly prompt and easy.
I was having difficulty finding a baker at first. Every bakery I went to used the heavy, overly sweet American buttercream frosting. After trying four different bakeries, Vanessa was the only one who was able to accommodate my request for a less sweet meringue buttercream. The frosting was amazingly light, fluffy, and absolutely fantastic. I was so incredibly happy with it.
We chose fresh strawberry, chocolate champagne mousse, and caramel chai latte flavors. Every single layer was incredibly delicious and flavorful. Our venue had trouble cutting cake pieces fast enough because as soon as they came out, they would be grabbed by our guests quite quickly.
I had a specific vision in mind for the design, and after talking with Vanessa, I fully trusted her artistic skills to bring it to life. The final cake was absolutely fantastic.
The delivery and setup couldn’t have gone any smoother. Vanessa and her team handled everything flawlessly. I honestly didn't even know they were there except that the cakes and desserts came out on time and were displayed as we had planned. Everything with The Chocolate Rose went perfectly, and we could not be happier. If you want a wedding cake vendor that is reliable and brilliantly talented, look no further.
Tried having this bakery supply our wedding cake. We were under the impression that the cake was taken care of. As the day got closer we experienced awful communication & had multi...
ple emails left unanswered. Was informed that the bakery itself takes precedence over weddings & they need a 1-2 year heads up to cover a wedding. Lol so long, long engagements only! Definitely lacking professionalism
Vanessa was amazing to work with! From the tasting to answering emails to the day of our wedding. The desserts were DELICIOUS and everyone raves about them. The dessert table was a...

and had trouble choosing because everything tasted like a dream. We showed her one picture as inspiration and she turned our vision into a reality even better than we could’ve hoped for. The cake fit our theme/decor so well and was delicious! No one even knew it was gluten free and everyone enjoyed it... Along the way, we also bought so many pastries and desserts from the bakery and will continue to frequent the Chocolate Rose on all our Cape trips. Thank you!

er team were so reassuring and kind with every communication and made it so easy. I also have two celiac family members, so their safety was our biggest concern with dessert, but we had the most delicious gluten free cake that all enjoyed. We only had one slice left over! We're looking forward to ordering desserts from Chocolate Rose for other family events.

nd beautiful. She did amazing loose rosettes and brush embroidery, and customized the color of the buttercream to match my dress. The cake was gorgeous AND delicious. Not to mention she delivered it all on a super short timeline since we couldn't make it to the Cape until just a few weeks before our wedding for the tasting! Vanessa was great, her shop is beautiful, and her cakes are to die for.
As a detail-oriented, hard-to-please culinary professional, a lot of research went into selecting the pastry chef for my daughter’s September wedding. After reading many online ac...
colades for “The Chocolate Rose,” and viewing impressive confections on its website, we scheduled a tasting with pasty chef, Vanessa, and looked no further. Vanessa’s desserts are professionally crafted, beautifully presented, and made with fresh, quality ingredients. We wanted elegant, European-style pastries, and she offered just what we were looking for, although she creates a great variety of selections. On the big, day, we could not have been more pleased with everything. Vanessa had communicated with the venue and florist in advance, and she and her team seamlessly executed a stunning dessert table, their presence going completely unnoticed, as guests dined. (To assure their finest quality and correct temperature, the desserts are delivered and displayed just prior to serving time.) Everything was absolutely correct, beautifully presented, styled just as we’d requested, and simply delicious—a perfect execution! While she is extremely busy and can sometimes leave you wondering a bit, she somehow keeps track of it all and gets it right—trust her! We recommend “The Chocolate Rose” without hesitation, and look forward to
calling upon Vanessa for our next occasion.

For our wedding we had a sweets table instead of a cake. Vanessa did an amazing job incorporating our theme into the sweets table. It looked pretty and everything tasted amazing.
We are so glad that we were referred to Vanessa by my brother. He said she was one of the best vendors at my niece's wedding, and that we should contact her early in our planning....
I'm so happy we got that recommendation! Vanessa at the Chocolate Rose was incredibly professional, accommodating, and sincerely interested in providing the most beautiful and delicious cake for my daughter's wedding, and boy - did she deliver! The cake was GORGEOUS! and it was equally DELICIOUS! I'm so glad we have beautiful photos of the wedding cake, because it is definitely something we will want to remember always, as an important part of our daughter's beautiful day. Thanks Vanessa!

omenal! Vanessa was able to execute the most incredible dessert table for our wedding guests, that included all of the fine details of our wedding, all while including an intimate and delicious cheesecake just for the groom and I to share together. Right from our initial meeting it was clear Vanessa was very attentive to detail, professional, and an absolute master in the pastry industry! Her recommendations, creativity, and passion for what she does made our vision for our dessert table come to life! Our wedding guests are STILL talking about the quality and the presentation of our desserts! We are so happy that we were recommended to use The Chocolate Rose as a vendor, and we would 100% pass that recommendation on!

cake tasting--which is a delightful treat). During our initial meeting, I could tell that Vanessa was truly focused on creating a cake that captures more than just my pinterest pins and asked about the atmosphere we hoped to create at our wedding, inspiration from my dress, and our unique styles--and we were very happy with her prices, as well. She worked seamlessly with our florist to create a stunning 4-tiered semi-naked cake with flecks of gold leaf and three delicious flavors (because we couldn't choose just one). Her cake was so beautiful, its photo got its own page in our wedding album.

er amazing bakery, I knew I was in the right place. The hardest part was choosing the flavors for the cake. So we chose 4! One for each layer.
Many of Our guest came up to me during the reception and asked who “did the cake”. Best wedding cake ever❤️
Plus we had black and white cookie favors for each guest to take home. They were packaged so meticulous and were amazing! Thanks Vanessa to you and your staff for a beautiful sweet ending to the wedding!

ous decorative designs. Vanessa was able to decorate our cupcakes perfectly in line with our nautical themed wedding, even matching the frosting to our color palette. She also made us a beautiful cutting cake (which we enjoyed the next day) that was the exactly what we wanted. Vanessa also did our display setup and it was flawless. She pulled in nautical details to complement the venue and the cupcakes that far exceeded my expectations. Our guests thought everything looked perfect and tasted delicious (the 11 dozen cupcakes we ordered were gone!) and I am so glad that we used the Chocolate Rose for our wedding day. Highly recommend to those having a cape cod wedding!
Vanessa was fantastic! Our cake was exactly what we wanted, and delicious! There are so many options to choose from (Try the lemon cake!) Thank you again!

pick out the cake size and flavors. Vanessa was also so kind when helping us design our cake and she did such a great job at bringing all of our visions to life. At the tasting, we knew right away that our guests would fight over it. When we saw the cake on our wedding day we were so pleased, we felt that this was one of the best features at our venue! We had a small wedding, (around 70 guest) and we literally heard from everyone how much they liked the cake. Many of them told us that they had to have multiple pieces of cake because every flavor was so delicious. Some even asked if there was any more cake hidden away and they were surprised when they found out that the cake was Gluten Free. Our flavors were Coconut Rum, Black Forest and Strawberry Almond so not just one lousy Gluten Free flavor. We will definitely go back for not just cakes but all things Vanessa makes, for our next events. She is truly amazing and so easy to work with. We won't hesitate to recommend The Chocolate Rose to any of our friends not only for a wedding but for any special occasion!

ught it to life. Our cake was elegant but above all tasted incredible! And she offers a fresh cake for your anniversary so you don't have to eat year old, frozen cake! We enjoyed every interaction we had with Vanessa and would highly recommend The Chocolate Rose to everyone!
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Vanessa and the Chocolate Rose were recommended by our venue and we couldn't be more happy with the results!
We had a 100 person wedding with a 3 tier cake and ...
went with a different flavor per tier (chocolate raspberry, chocolate champagne mousse, and my favorite- the fireside favorite aka s'mores).
The tasting was lovely and super fun as I went with my teenage cousins since my fiancé wasn't able to make it. She executed my cake requests beautifully and the end result was just stunning. We went with a darker grey icing with gold accents and she was super willing to go along with this more non-traditional request (and figure out how to make it taste great).
Added bonus for Instagram loving people- Vanessa keeps her feed up to date so you are able to see her most recent creations through your whole planning process.
Would HIGHLY recommend the Chocolate Rose to future couples!
