I didn't think it would be possible to have an entirely vegan wedding, with actually delicious food, until I found Adam. The quality and complexity of his food completely exceeded my expectations - it is SOO yummy! And I am a total snob when it comes to good vegan food.
Working with Adam to craft our menu was an absolute dream. He was the only vendor I worked with for our wedding that I didn't have to second guess or worry about. He was incredibly timely, organized, helpful, kind and he really cared about making our day special. His staff was excellent and our venue said they left the place the cleanest they have ever seen. I'm already trying to come up with a reason to have another event just so I can work with Adam and eat his food again!
Adam was a dream to work with, and his excitement and enthusiasm were contagious.
We planned our wedding rather last minute, and gave general guidance on what we were looking for, and Adam was very communicative throughout the process and he really nailed the menu right away, getting the vibe we wanted while also presenting different options at different price points. He also worked closely with our venue (which was not full-service and lacks a kitchen), and coordinated all of the logistics with them for ovens/plates/dishes/etc., leaving us only having to make the final order with the vendor.
We had a good portion of friends who are vegetarian or vegan, but our families are skeptical omnivores and everyone enjoyed the food, and we received numerous compliments on it.
Additionally, Adam's wife, Joey, made the most stunning wedding cake I've ever seen in person; it was a true work of art (delicious too, of course).
If I am ever in a position to plan a similar scale event I would hire Adam in a heartbeat.
CS catered our wedding in 2017. It was very stressful dealing with them, a few weeks before my wedding I was in absolute tears. They were very disorganized, couldn't handle customization, and I shudder to think what would happen if they did full service planning. Since they don't provide ANYTHING, not even serving/chafing dishes, I asked for a list of what they need. That list was NOT comprehensive at all, and I had to buy extra things last minute because they didn't give me a complete list.
The food was great at the tasting but didn't taste that good at the wedding. Everything was really spicy, which we specifically discussed before hand. I asked for a cheese and fruit platter for the cocktail hour and whether they could source a vegan cheese from a known brand like Miyoko's. The chef said he will make it himself. Well, it was inedible and we were left with all the trays afterwards that went straight into the garbage.
Mostly, the stress came from the lack of kindness and respect. I never felt like anyone cared about me at all, not as a client and certainly not as a bride. Also seemed to be a lot of nickel-and-diming. They were literally trying to charge me 70 cents per person for olives when I asked to add some olives to the cheese platter. I asked for some fruit for the dessert table and they wanted to charge me $700. We paid around $120 per guest JUST for the food, not even drinks (or venue or rentals) and this was a small buffet.
The chef made a roasted veg dish that we decided on after the tasting - so we never tried it beforehand - at the wedding, it was inedible. We were left with the full tray as our guests also didn't eat it.
I was so afraid to go with a non vegan vendor who might not understand vegan food, but now I wish I had explored ALL of my options.
The food at their restaurant is good, their overpriced cakes look very nice, but the catering experience is horrendous, and I would not wish for any bride to have to go through that.
My extended family have attended several events hosted by The Cinnamon Snail and vegan or not my family was sold on every level. From presentation, flavor, serving size and general professionalism, they are simply the best.
We cannot thank you enough for offering vegan service that pleases all palates. This means the world to us.
The Zel family.
The Cinnamon Snail made an incredible chocolate wedding cake for us. So gooey and delicious, I don't think most people realized it was vegan. I love India, so it was decorated with henna-like designs, white on white, with edible flowers that matched our real ones.
I ordered a Batman-themed engagement cake for my sister's engagement luncheon. Apple-bourbon. Yum! I am so sorry I don't have a photo. The service and quality and presentation were all great. Easy and convenient pickup in Red Bank.
The Cinnamon Snail is phenomenal at what they do and they do a lot... They made my husband and I a vegan, chocolate ganache, peanut butter filling cake for our wedding day. Everyone loved it, it was beautiful and delicious. The topper held up great in the freezer for us to eat on our one year anniversary too =)
They made an incredibly delicious tiramisu for us, that was amazing. My mostly-nonvegan guests had no idea that it was vegan, and my very carnivorous brother had seconds! Not only was it vegan - it was raw!
I have also attended events with Cinnamon Snail birthday cakes and they have all been breathtakingly beautiful and scrumptious, including a vanilla cake with an amazing filling of fluffy cream and fresh strawberries. Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed!
