with.  She was helpful and informed, and effectively facilitated our interactions with the linens provider.  She also picked up our account midway through planning, and was able to smooth out all details, and honor verbal promises that her predecessor made.  Liv’s experience helped our overall wedding come together smoothly; she was familiar with how Peabody weddings typically go and knew how vendors filled in various responsibilities.  Every question that we had, Liv either knew the answer or found it for us within 24 hours.  When our wedding coordinator had a major last-minute change, Liv’s familiarity with the many moving parts helped for a seamless transition. As for the event itself, Classic staff was attentive and responsive to our guests' needs.  Multiple guests came to us to compliment not only the quality of food, but also the classy service.  One of our guests, a former restaurant owner, made a point to comment on the caterers' efficiency of operation.  Many of our guests could not stop talking about the food, with several shout outs to the braised short ribs and the Icelandic cod.  Classic graciously accommodated our request to change the first course from a salad to a half salad/half soup.  This ended up as a smashing hit with our guests; the crab bisque tasted amazing.  Bottomline -- you can't go wrong choosing The Classic Catering People and Liv for your wedding, especially if your venue is the Peabody library.  We highly recommend!

’oeuvres during cocktail hour, a seated dinner for 150 guests, a dessert bar, and a late-night snack option. We loved the food, and we got so many compliments from our guests on how much they enjoyed it as well. Our wedding was a fusion of Indian and Jewish tradition, and they came up with a lovely menu to reflect that. Minor tweaks to dishes from our tasting were taken into account and executed beautifully on wedding day. Very accommodating of guests with dietary restrictions/allergies and of our personal preferences as a couple. The whole process was relatively easy with them, and communication was very good. Pricing was transparent, and our contact at the company was sure to let us know if something we wanted to have would affect the quoted price. Staff was excellent, and the server taking care of us as a couple made sure we got to eat all of the lovely food we had picked out (including all the hors d’oeuvres). They were very accommodating with our selection of signature drinks and did a lovely job with all of them. Highly recommend The Classic Catering People for a well-organized, deliciously-catered event!

Lynn, our catering coordinator, was so phenomenal at her job, I didn't even need a wedding planner! She took care of every detail from linens, decorations (brought table numbers, books, signage), and timeline of the day. I don't think there is a wedding planner who could live up to her capabilities. I had the best day of my entire life and I truly believe it was due to Lynn and her incredible team. I had no stress and felt completely at ease! I could not recommend more! I want to have another party just to hang out with them all again!

During these unprecedented times, it was refreshing to work with a company that was understanding of the challenges we were facing with wanting to keep everyone safe, and then again when my baby's due date was a mere 2 weeks after one of the dates we had scheduled. Our experience with planning was fabulous as well. They responded to all of our questions and concerns within a timely manner. They invited us to their location to work with us to come up with a menu. They had a few snacks prepared for my husband and I. They asked several questions about our vision for the wedding, about any allergies or special diets that might require a special meal. They even let us know that they could prepare some staples for a children if we needed (we had no need to take advantage of that). They were also able to ensure that my favorite wine would be available at the event as part of the bar package. Once we had the menu planned, we were able to schedule a tasting for the event a few months out. They encouraged us to invite my in-laws to the event as well (which we did, and my FIL really enjoyed being able to take part in that with us.) They prepared the entire menu for the 3 of us, and confirmed that everything was perfect for our wedding, and it was. They also had linens set out for us to pick from. When I gave them the colors for my wedding, they were able to pick a few different options for us. They also were able to suggest ways to make the linens the most cost effective for us. The day of the wedding went perfectly. Our ceremony was at 7pm, and they arrived to begin setting up at 5pm. They set up for the ceremony. As we walked around the venue for cocktail hour, I was able to spot tables prepared for them to switch the ceremony space to the reception space. This was done within an hour, and went so smoothly. Nobody was standing around waiting for them to switch things over. They also set up my centerpieces, card box, guest book, seating chart, and table numbers. I didn't have to put someone in charge of worrying about that, and was able to have peace of mind that it was taken care of. When packing everything up, they also packed up everything for us as well so we could retrieve it the next day. Every single person I interacted with was super helpful, kind, and respectful. I could not have asked for a better experience.

We loved working with them in creating a unique menu and tablescape, they were able to create any kind of meal or flavor we wanted to ensure that it was personal to my husband and I's favorite foods! They created a customized hot dog bar for us as a late night snack and had butlered milkshakes going around at the end of night since those are two of our favorite things! The day of everything ran efficiently and smoothly, the staff was so kind to all of our guests and they portion sizes for meals and hors d'oeuvres were huge! We received so many compliments from family and friends throughout the night on the incredible and delicious quality of the food! I would 10000% hire them again!

e. Going into our engagement and starting the wedding planning process I knew nothing about wedding catering. Lynn took the time to understand my vision for the wedding in terms of food service type, food selection, linens, chairs, etc. Lynn and Olivia also worked closely with my wedding planner behind the scenes to make sure everything was prepared for the big day. Lynn and Olivia have a phenomenal eye for design, layout, food service, and cohesiveness. I can say without a doubt that our food was the best food I have ever had at a wedding. We have received SO MANY compliments on every aspect of our food and drink service. The passed hors d'oeuvres were a HUGE hit, along with our stations, and the signature drinks. We were also blown away by the classic catering service team. Absolutely best service. We absolutely LOVED getting to work with Lynn and Olivia.

They accommodated a tasting for us outside of their normal tasting schedule. When we had to make a last-minute venue switch due to COVID, they not only helped us identify alternative options they were familiar with, when we selected a venue that normally didn't allow outside catering, they worked with us and the new venue to reach a mutually agreeable solution that enabled them to continue to cater the wedding. Our goal when selecting vendors was to make sure we felt 100% comfortable with them so that we could be ourselves - as soon as we met Lynn, we knew that would be the case. I would also be remised if I didn't mention how delicious the food was. All of our guests raved about it! Would recommend them to anyone!

Our favorite hors d’oeuvre was the crab-cake — delicious! but they were all good. Dinner was Asian, Italian & Steakhouse dishes served buffet-style at stations. The food was delicious and plentiful & presented in a lovely manner. The staff, especially, Marcie, did an excellent job.

Thankfully we had already done a tasting with Classic for another venue and Larry was so helpful not only to throw things together so quickly but also to reassure us that he was thinking of and handling every little detail. The food stands alone as it's own 5 stars. We had crab imperial and short ribs which were so good. There was so much crab, not too much sauce or breading. The short ribs were so tender and flavorful. We asked for appetizers during the cocktail hour which included Peking duck wraps, crab cakes, scallops wrapped in bacon, Brie tarts, and (my favorite) a deceptively legitimate cauliflower arancini. They packed up leftovers for us which we enjoyed 2 days later (we had no appetite during the wedding), and I can only imagine how good the food was for our guests. Importantly, my in-laws (who are never impressed by any food ever) LOVED the food and couldn't stop talking about how delicious and delicate everything was. As for logistics, Larry and David were the consummate professionals. They set up our banquet table to my wife's exact specifications and it was so beautiful. We brought a Whole Foods Berry Chantilly cake which they decorated as our wedding cake and was as good as if not better than any other wedding cake. They were so kind and responsive in all phone and email correspondence and there wasn't a moment when they weren't a step ahead. I could go on and on, but basically you can trust these people to put on the most important party of your life and I'm so glad we were able to do business with them!

What a duo! All of her recommendations were spot on and flawlessly executed. There was never a line at the bar, there were constant appetizers being butlered. Everyone LOVED the ice cream sundae bar she recommended and most importantly her wait staff was top notch and efficient. So friendly and accommodating but SO GOOD at their jobs. The excellent food was a topic of conversation among several guests that reached out to us after the wedding.. it was fantastic! After our ceremony, a tray of appetizers and signature drinks were brought upstairs for us to enjoy in our first moments together before we went down into the swarms of guests! We always had drinks in our hands and we never even stepped up to the bar. We love Classic and would hire them again in an instant!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the historic George Peabody Library and were required to use one of three approved caterers. In our mind, there was only one choice to go with and that was The Class Catering People. We worked with Lynn Piette and from the get-go, her professionalism and hilarious personality put my parents, husband, and me at ease. She was even able to connect with my stepson who is a fellow Star Wars fan. My mom's biggest concern with the wedding was the food and making sure everyone was well feed. We are Filipino so it is a cardinal sin to have guests leave hungry! At our initial meeting, Lynn brought us a sampling of some of their food (per my mom's request) and asked us some questions that would eventually inform the food proposal. Lynn expertly came up with a menu that satisfied our Asian/Maryland/Surf and Turf theme for the food. We also worked with Classic for our Wedding cake and she helped us create a three-layered cake that satisfied my mom's, my husband's mom, and our favorite cake flavors where each tier had a different flavor: marble with mango cream, marble and chocolate, and carrot cake. Throughout the development of our wedding reception, Lynn was there at meetings for the linens, the final meeting/walkthru with the Peabody, and communicative with us as we had questions or changes to the menu and guest list. At the wedding, everyone raved about delicious filet mignon and shrimp with crab imperial and even those who got the vegetarian meal were amazed at how delicious and filling the food was. Lynn also made sure that we were well taken care of while taking pictures outside in the August heat. She sent a server with ice cold glasses of water for us and our photographer and videographer. Before our big entrance at dinner, Lynn provided us a plate of all of the appetizers and helped us steal away a few moments to ourselves to enjoy the food and recharge for the rest of the night. Talk about full service! We had nothing to worry about except for remembering our dance moves for our first dance. I cannot say enough good things about how happy we were to work with Lynn for our big day. Classics not only provided the most amazing meals for our wedding, they really went above and beyond to make our day absolutely magical!

food is a very important aspect of a wedding. The Classic Catering People absolutely surpassed our expectations and those of our very opinionated guests. From helping to choose the perfect menu to organizing the reception space, Nicole Van Natta and her crew were superb. We were even able to have food delivered to our hotel prior to the wedding for our bridal party to snack on while we got ready. If you have the opportunity to host an event in the Baltimore area, definitely give The Classic Catering People a call!

Lynn made sure I was a stress-free bride and was one of my saving graces throughout the wedding process. She was able to fit our tasting in on a holiday weekend as it fit my schedule best and made sure we were happy with the choices we made over the phone and email once we saw it in person. She understood our vision and executed it perfectly. The staff at C.C.P was phenomenal, especially Angie. Angie was at our tasting and made us feel welcome and taken care of. I was so happy that she worked our wedding and her presence was not missed on our guests. She made me feel at ease while getting ready and provided our guests with exceptional service. Lynn was beyond amazing on our wedding day. She was vital in making my vision and center pieces come to life in a very short period of time with the help of the rest of the catering staff. The staff was great - quick to refill food, check on guests, and keep the bar running. The chef(s) at C.C.P is a master at their job. We wanted something different and they were great at making that happen without sacrificing flavor and quality. All of our guests commented on how delicious the food was and all of the items they tried. My favorite part of the catering was our wedding cake. They took our wish and made it happen while incorporating our colors into the cake's design. I think the desserts were the favorite part of everyone's meal and we had many people say they had almost one of everything because it looked so good. I highly recommend C.C.P and their amazing team of people. I can't thank Lynn enough for all she did for us in making sure our day was fantastic.

a very tight budget, so we were likely difficult to work with. Nonetheless, Bobby and Larry did a fantastic job! Chef John provided amazing food--the taste and the presentation were both incredible. Our guests loved the food. We couldn't have pulled off our wedding without them and I recommend Classic, not just for the food, but for the whole experience. f the wedding, we had their full attention and resources at our disposal. They prepared so many wonderful dishes for our tasting (the dessert bar is worth it, based on our guests' reactions), and recommended the most beautiful linens based on our color scheme. I wish I could buy those linens! I planned the wedding myself and didn't have a day-of coordinator, so Bobby completely stepped into that role: he led the rehearsal the night before, and worked with the venue staff at the George Peabody Library to make sure everything went smoothly on my wedding day. In sum: Bobby is the best, and I'm very grateful to Classic Catering for their quality and professionalism!

We met with the two Maryland-based approved caterers and were blown away by CCP's (specifically Lynn, who handles all Peabody events) enthusiasm, responsiveness and interest in working to match our vision. I feel like we've probably sent Lynn hundreds (?) of emails over the past several months, but EVERY SINGLE ONE was replied to in a timely fashion and in the most accommodating and professional manner. Lynn worked with us to tweak our entree selection until it was just right, helped coordinate some special beverage options and worked so well with the rest of our vendor/coordinator team. Plus, the insight that Lynn had in working at the Peabody for so many years proved to be invaluable - everything from layout of the space to rules, do's/don'ts and lighting & decor suggestions. Beyond the catering specifics, Lynn was also just such a calming presence and we really had the utmost confidence in her team. Many of our guests remarked how great the food was, and in particular, how wonderful the service team was. The servers and bartenders were friendly and accommodating; they even (unbeknownst to us) marked guests who had dietary restrictions that required special meals with a flower at their place setting. I thought this was such a special touch - way more beautiful & personal that having a generic place card. Gail, an owner/partner of CCP, also worked our event to help ensure that everything ran as smooth as possible. We didn't know she would be at our wedding (and it would not be reasonable to expect that she work all CCP events), but it did mean a lot to know that she valued being there. We don't plan on getting married again, but I do look forward to future opportunities to work with Lynn and the CCP team again.

in dishes, Classic's food was the stuff of an epicurean dream. For the cocktail hour, we got to enjoy a selection of tandoori lamb, Korean BBQ sliders, mac and cheese cups, spanakopita as well as mini crab cakes. (Get the tandoori lamb, you'll thank us.) For our main dishes, we had the chicken, the salmon and a puff pastry mushroom dish for our vegetarian guests. Before clearing the plates for our cake and to sustain the dancers on the dance floor, Classic provided everyone with milk and cookies. People had a lot of fun with that in between songs. The difference between a good vendor and great vendor is people. The human factor, the character and the quality of the people whom you are paying for services rendered. We planned the entirety of our wedding without a wedding planner, and Lynn from Classic, with her experience, care and professionalism, was invaluable in helping us to plan and coordinate the day. From the personal touch, to the quality of food, down to the set-up of our table arrangements, Classic Catering was an outstanding choice. I have no doubt we owe much of the success of our wedding to Classic and all the people involved.

ontact, has been doing weddings at the George Peabody Library for years so she is very familiar with the venue and all of their rules which was very helpful. When we went in for our first meeting Lynn had lunch ready for us as a way for us to have a preview of their food (which was excellent) & we were able to take home any of the leftovers that we wished to take. The tasting was just as good. My dad & stepmother who went with us also could not stop raving about the food. The day of food was absolutely amazing (people are still telling me how wonderful it was) and the service was excellent. My husband & I had an assigned server who made sure we had all the food & drinks we wanted all night. Lynn was always very quick to respond to my emails (obviously they are busy on weekends as that is when they work most but even then I had a response in my inbox first thing Monday morning). She also was great in that if needed she would have been the point of contact for our venue (our venue requires one) and before we had decided on hiring a wedding planner she said that if we ended up not getting one she would be happy to help get everyone down the aisle. She also made sure to coordinate with all our other vendors and she was happy to recommend any vendors that we still had not booked. And an excellent way of showing, in my mind, how wonderful Lynn was is that her son got married the weekend before our wedding and she was still able to provide excellent support and communication. Before that weekend she sent me an email saying that while she would have limited access to email the day of and day after she said that for brides she would make herself available by cell phone if I needed anything. That is excellent service in my mind. I will be recommending Classic Catering for years to come.

We were assigned Lynn Piette as our point of contact and when we arrived at their offices, we were greeted warmly and noticed a chalkboard sign saying “Welcome Sarah and Carter”. These little touches really made a difference. We were shown to the staging room that was clean and simply decorated. The room had a nice window into the kitchen area so we could see the Chef and his staff in action, which was really cool! The server who assisted Lynn was professional, kind and warm. Note: we were not charged for our tasting. Lynn was great about listening to our vision before the meeting, during the tasting, and throughout the entire process. Her feedback was never judgmental or pushy, simply offering her knowledge about the venue, industry, and what was possible within our budget. Her candid and honest feedback (especially her working within our budget) was sincerely appreciated. From early on in the meeting, we both knew that this was the only catering company we wanted to hire. Lynn integrated everything we wanted into our menu. The Chef came out at one point to ask for our feedback and assure us that changes could be made to the menu selection, to the taste of the food and that he was very open to working with us to make sure everything was to our liking. We couldn’t have had a better experience. After receiving the proposal (which was very reasonable) we immediately sent back the signed contract. From that moment on, we felt like everything was under control. Lynn set out a timeline for what we were to accomplish over the next several months and asked us to collect pictures and ideas for to move forward. As we were unfamiliar with the area, we asked Lynn for her preferred vendors for florists, bakers, and so on because we wanted to make sure that the team working with the catering company was a team that had a pre-existing relationship. Lynn offered her suggested list (of two or three options for every type of vendor as to not be biased) and we selected accordingly. The team was great, and the night we walked into the ceremony and reception, we felt like our vision had come to life. In the two weeks up to the wedding, Lynn really acted as a wedding coordinator would and took on a lot of responsibilities that we weren’t expecting. It was incredibly appreciated. Lynn put together a timeline for the evening, helped with last minute detailing such as dessert bar signs, bar signs, and even came to the rehearsal the night before the dinner to make sure everything would be set up to our liking and the coordination with the venue was finalized. The night of the wedding, Lynn and her team were wonderful! The guests loved all of the food from the hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail reception, to the main courses and dessert bar at the reception. Everything tasted delicious (and was hot! With 130 guests, that’s not an easy feat!!) Moreover, the service was unparalleled. As we were taking photos during the cocktail hour, my husband and I were assigned a lovely server who made sure we had some of the delicious hors d'oeuvres. Throughout the evening, we were taken care of really well. When I accidentally knocked over my crystal champagne flute, the staff was quick to clean it up and make sure nothing looked amiss.

he hors d'oeuvres were awesome and the main dish was amazing - we did a duo-plate of short ribs and sea bass, and our guests simply raved. The wedding cake was also delicious. Our wedding was at the Lord Baltimore Hotel, for which Classic is the exclusive caterer. David Atkinson, the Account Executive, was an absolute delight to work with. We worked with him very closely from beginning to end, and he was one of the main reasons we chose to go with the Lord Baltimore for our wedding venue. David brings new meaning to the term "personalized service" -- he learned every necessary detail about us, our families, and our event to ensure that the day was perfect (and it was!). When we first met David I mentioned to him that I was going to be picky about the beer menu, and on our next visit he brought me a six-pack of one of my favorite beers (he had taken mental note!) and tied a white ribbon around each bottle. So adorable, and appreciated! David was also extremely flexible and accommodating, he gave us at least 4 tours of the hotel with no complaint. Finally (and it seems silly to comment on this after everything else but it's worth noting), the menu tasting was wonderful and so fun. It was so professional, the service was great and the presentation was gorgeous. We had a very hard time narrowing down our menu because everything was so delicious. It was such a pleasure!

uly helped everything run smoothly. Classic Catering has a point person at the Lord Baltimore Hotel that we dealt with named David. David helped us with the walk through, assisted in planning the menu, coordinated the vendors coming into the hotel, and even let us in two days before the wedding to store some of the larger items we were using. Our relationship with David had its rocky points but the end result was a product both sides were very proud of. Larry Frank, VP/Partner of Classic, was present for our tasting and helped guide us through the different menu items Classic Catering offered. The tasting presented by Classic Catering was unreal. Anything we asked for was quickly taken into consideration and adjusted in the kitchen on site. We had so much food leftover from the tasting that we were able to take home, it was awesome! We know that the food prepared for the wedding was also amazing because our guests couldn't stop raving about it. We even had several friends snapchat their entrees because it was such a great presentation. The appetizers during our cocktail hour were delicous as well. Given our positive experience with the company, we would recommend the services of Classic Catering to anyone who is looking for a catering company.

It began as a simple e-mail---”Terri, my family would like to host a party for my mom.” The flurry of activity that those simple words set into motion is stunning. Through a series of questions and attentive listening, Terri created the vision for the venue, menu, decor, invitations and music. We remain in awe of how she captured Mom so brilliantly. Plus, the care she took in creating the setting with floral, linens, lighting and tableware, the “reveal” for the dessert, hot beverages and signature cake design, the coordination of all the vendor teams with a master timeline---brilliant. The food, second only to Terri, is the reason we chose The Classic Catering People. Always creative, delicious, plentiful, and approachable. I mention approachable in the most positive way. Your culinary team’s use of fresh ingredients is the highlight of each dish. To know what we are eating in this generation of garish garnishes and distortion of real flavors is so welcome! Hard to pick a favorite when all were so beautiful and tasty. Dinner was perfection. My mom is known for feeding her family very well and this menu was a reflection of her holiday meals. We are still hearing these compliments, one week later.
