s amazing. Love the blackened grouper! The lunch is awesome too, check out pic of “The Club” sandwich with the most amazingly crunchy handmade fries!!! To top it off there’s a Sunday brunch! Parrish peeps look no further.

Went to the Wolfhaus pub. Was great food. Made up my own craft cocktail with raspberry mocktail and added tequila. Fabulous. Wings were great,grouper sandwhich also fantastic. Good service too! A+

The course is good—perhaps not exceptional, but it’s more than adequate for the average player at this price. The staff is very friendly, and the course is located in a lovely neighborhood. We are happy to play here.

ere we would not recommend having a wedding here unless it is very small. She mentioned numerous times how large our event was. We had 114. She did not come through on SO MANY things. Too many to list or address. The day of the wedding we found out Donna told staff the mobile bar was canceled and no one ever said that. The golf cart promised was forgotten. All the patio furniture was moved out into the grass. We had to move it all back to the patio the day of the wedding. The a/c was out and yet they tried telling us it wasn't. We reached out to the GM, Janice. A week later she emailed that we can call if we want to discuss things. We called several times and still haven't heard back from her. Nate is really the only highlight of The Club at River Wilderness!

First, the good.
The course design is outstanding, with very memorable holes. When I played it in 2020, I gave it a five-star review (see below).
The carts are very nice, including the built-in GPS.
The starter was very welcoming and friendly....
While the course wasn't in great condition in 2020, it showed promise. Since then, the decline of this facility has been dramatic. You can see the difference in my photos from then & now. It's particularly strange in light of what is a relatively uncompetitive golf environment and the nice neighborhood surrounding the course.
Course conditions are dismal, which I can only attribute to mismanagement.
We were further aggravated by not having any advance warning about the holes that were "cart path only." Once we got 25 yards onto the fairway, the cart would shut down and require us to drive in reverse to get back to the cart path. A simple sign on the tee box of each of these holes would do the trick.
The decline of this course is a terrible shame.
My review from 2020:
This is an excellent golf course, and if I lived closer, I'd play it often. It's well-designed, walking is allowed, conditions are good, and the staff is friendly & helpful. Highly recommended!
