The Coeur d'Alene Resort did such an amazing job, from beginning to end, they were so helpful through the whole planning process. Our guests thought our wedding dinner was some of the best food they'd ever had. Thank you wedding team!
The Coeur D’Alene Resort was absolutely amazing for our wedding and reception that we had the Hagadone Event Center. Everyone was so beautifully done and was just an amazing & beautiful venue. The staff was very professional and helpful through the entire process and for the big day. Would recommend anyone looking for a beautiful venue that this place is for you! The pictures of the venue don’t do it justice!
Our wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Lakeview Terrace with gorgeous Lake CDA in the background. Becky and Michelle were very professional from the beginning and they worked with us and our wedding planner very seamlessly on the day. The food was AMAZING, and the resort staff were great on the day. Thank you again for a wonderful experience!
Any questions?
We are still in process of working with the CDA resort as our wedding is not until next Sept 2016. They have been so great to this point. Extremely fast response time on everything. And flexibility to work with us when we are not living in the area. Looking forward to our wonderful day.
I held my wedding at the CDA Resort over the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Overall, it was perfect, and I was overjoyed with the resort! The hotel is very modern and beautiful, and the grounds/dock/lake are just amazing! It made for some amazing photos! Becky, the Wedding Planner, went over and above for us! Since we came from Canada, she did most of the work to get vendors in place, and helped me so much with the planning and decorating. The day we arrived, she met with us, gave us a tour of the resort, and we went over every little detail of the wedding. Literally, my "work" was done at that point! I am a planner, and a little controlling, but I felt good about handing everything over to Becky- and she did not disappoint. The ceremony was on the Lakeview Terrace, and was just as perfect as I imagined it would be! Also the reception was fantastic- great decor, great food, and an overall fantastic time had by all! I would most definitely recommend this resort for a vacation, but I would most defiantly suggest it as a wedding destination! I can't say enough good things about my experience!
My wedding was this last August at the Hagadone Event Center. It was the absolute perfect location. My ceremony was in the garden, my husband, I, and wedding party stood on a floating stage that was in an infinity pool with the beautiful Lake CdA in the background. The sound carried perfect in the location, and the surrounding trees protected us from the wind. Our Reception was in the actual event center. We had it indoor and outdoor with fire places fully lit. White couches and cocktail tables lined the outside of the event center on the lake side and the inside was absolutely stunning! I would reccomend ANYONE looking to get married in an absolutely breath taking location. Go see Becky at the CdA Resort and book the Hagadone Event Center.
Of the three venues the Resort provides, we chose to have our ceremony and reception at the Golf Course Gardens and event center (the most expensive but largest accomodating of the venues). The view was breathtaking!!! The Resort staff handled all the onsite coordination with the upmost professionalism and excellence. Included in the cost was the cake, chairs, tables, linens, flatware, wait-staff, set up, tear down, and day-of coordination. The Resort did have a catering (cost) minimum with multiple, delicious menus to choose from including cocktail hour appetizers. They base the minimum on 100 guests, however we only had about 60 guests and therefore were able to advance to the next menu price point (of salmon and prime rib, with a separate kids buffet) and still meet minimum. We were also able to do a tasting of various menu items one month out. The Event Center provided an open air reception with the same gorgeous view, which had glass doors they were able to close if it got too windy off the lake. The catering minimum was $6500 and venue was $3500. However, alcohol was seperate and, being a resort, kinda raked you over the coals in that respect. All around, the venue was unbeatable (save tropical islands) and staff top-notch. If you have the funds, go for it, definately a once-in-a-lifetime memory!
We had a few nice meals, most of the restaurants and service could use improvement. We asked staff for recommendations and they didn't suggest many of the resort restaurants. However, beautiful setting.
The event team at the CDA Resort is wonderful. There is a service of culture at the resort and it made my wedding weekend memorable and planning fairly simple. The pricing was slightly higher than other wedding venues but worth every penny. The public areas, guest rooms, grounds, and boats are clean, well-kept, and beautifully decorated. The events team was great: Lisa made room reservations simple and efficient (I received block updates without prompting); Becky the wedding planner was flexible and knew every inch of the property; and Kelly in cruises was great to work with and answered each of my questions fully (and I had quite a few). The food was AMAZING and attendants were incredibly polite. There was only one flaw all weekend. We were married on one of the boats and had a dinner below deck afterwards. We had agreed they would have the rentals delivered on board and set up all the tables and chairs and then my mom would help with the light items like flower positioning and place cards. When my Mom arrived the boat was locked and nothing had been set up. It took her an extra two hours to get everything done and she missed her makeup appointment. Becky arrived early, expressed surprise, then rolled up her sleeves and helped. To make sure this doesn’t happen to you, send timeline and expectation emails to the cruise coordinator, the wedding planner, and anyone else you’ve interacted with. Such a large staff creates an amazing standard of service but also allows things to slip through the cracks. That being said, I will certainly return and recommend the CDA resort to friends.
We had the most beautiful wedding - but it was in spite of, and not because of, the Coeur d'Alene Resort. While the staff was incredibly friendly, I found them to be among the least competent I have ever met in the event planning business. I did all of the wedding planning myself from across the country. I was told the wedding department preferred emails to phone calls, but it would regularly take multiple attempts on both to get my designated person to respond. Costs and arrangements were chronically incorrect when sent back or confirmed by the resort, even after being put in writing. There was something wrong with the room block every other week (they kept telling me that high turnover was impacting customer service. Every other week??) The florist, despite having a color swatch for several months, called me the day before the wedding to tell me that the flowers were the wrong color. When I got to the floral shop, it turned out she was using the wrong person's swatch, and the flowers were fine (although the ribbon color was completely different). The hotel offered to send my dress out to be steamed when I arrived a few days early, then lost it in a corner for 24 hours (in a crumpled pile that I stumbled upon when I ran behind the bell desk the next day to find something), only to then lose track of it for several hours the day before the wedding with no tag or number to track it. After charging me $2.50 for welcome bags for guests (not per room, per guest), I discovered that several guests did not receive them, and therefore missed out on some of the weekend's activities. On the day of the wedding, the free shuttle to/from the Best Western took my guests to the wrong location and had to be coaxed to turn around. At the end of the night, shuttle buses took more than 45 minutes to make the 10 minute round trip journey back to the hotel from the event center, with several little ones exhausted and melting down while waiting (I had to beg the cocktail waitress to call the manager because the wedding planner had left for the night). Every step of the way during the reception, I was being asked questions by my guests and DJ, without someone taking charge to help navigate so I could relax. In the end, we had a wonderful day that I will remember for the rest of my life. But brides beware, if you choose this spot, you either need your own wedding planner or a lot of time on your hands. The success of your day will be up to you!
I live in Coeur d'Alene and have many business dealings with the Resort. When I began discussing my wedding reception with Becky Johnson, the Resort Wedding Coordinator, I was very specific aboun not wanting the convention bays to look like a Chamber of Commerce banquet. Becky promised she could deliver and boy, did she ever. No detail was overlooked. The room was absolutely transformed. The lighting was magnificent and the food was some of the best ever served. It was a crowd of over 400 guests and this event has truly become the talk of the town. My confidence in the product the Resort delivers has been elevated to a new level. Definitely worth every penny!
They were so wonderful and offered us a ride around town after they picked us up from the wedding! Very nice people!
