People are very nice and helpful. They listened to every issue I had and went over everything. Very few things fell through the cracks. The only real issue I had was that the coordinators changed quite a few times with me over my 2-year engagement. That does not seem to be the norm, it was just bad timing. I honestly don't think I could have survived getting married at any other location.

n Castle, and one venue in Newport, we chose the Colonnade because we were *certain* that they would make our day special. During each of our MULTIPLE visits, the staff at the Colonnade bent over backward for us. On my first visit in July, the senior catering manager (Gabi) had a table set in a private room to demonstrate the house linens, napkin choices, and place settings, which helped me better envision what the place setting would look like. She also gave me a bunch of Boston bridal magazines, chocolate covered strawberries and a gift bag for visiting. I was running from back to back appointments, starving, and so stressed that the little touch totally made my day. No other venue did that. On our second visit, Gabi arranged for us to actually meet with the Executive Chef (Chef Nick) and he showed us numerous pictures of the food he prepares. He is present for every wedding and is very involved in the entire wedding banquet experience. He sold my fiancé and I with his personality. He talked about food with such passion, that we decided to stay for a delicious dinner in their restaurant Brasserie Jo afterward. The food was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Their event space and guest rooms are updated, so they are classic, modern, new, and clean. The wedding package is comparable to most of the other venues, but their customer service is easily head and shoulders above any other venue in Boston, Cambridge, or Rhode Island. Gabi is hands on in everything, and only does one wedding a night. She is extremely responsive, and has an awesome "can do" attitude! I cannot say enough about she and chef! Our wedding day went off without a hitch. The food was AMAZING and ABUNDANT! The service was impeccable. The rooms looked fantastic. Every detail was covered and I did not have to do or worry about a thing. Every single one of our guests was treated like royalty. For us, we had a separate room with our own bar and hors d'oeuvres. We also had a tray of hors d'oeuvres and desserts in our room when we arrived after the reception. We had such a great time that we ended up staying an extra night at the Colonnade after the wedding. We are probably biased because we had an incredible wedding experience at the Colonnade, so we now count Gabi, Chef Nick (Boston and Mass chef of the year), and the whole staff there as friends, and we have been back since the wedding for a weekend away and their amazing Easter brunch! BUT, we think the Colonnade is the perfect place to have a beautiful wedding in the city with 5-star food and service.

She made the entire planning process enjoyable and stress-less. Gabi went above and beyond to accommodate us and our families as we had family traveling a large distance to help with planning. Also, Chef Nick is fantastic and the food he creates is unbelievable. We had heard from previous couples that the food was amazing but all the food we had exceeded our expectations and especially our guests expectations! We were married 9 months ago and we still have friends talking about how good the food was! All in all the best decision we made for our wedding was booking our reception at the Colonnade Hotel, we couldn't have been happier with our choice.

The day of she was a life saver- I felt in good hands with Gabi knowing that she had been in contact with all of the vendors and that she was there on my big day! The food was incredible! Chef Nick is the best- everything tasted delicious and was presented beautifully. Chef Nick was also accomodating in offering food not on the menu and catering our appetizers to our preferences. The cheese display is a crowd pleaser and Chef Nick used cheese and breads and appetizers that we had chosen. The service was excellent! Dinner was served quickly and the wait staff was friendly. They also had people from the hotel escorting guests throughout the night. In conclusion- I was so happy that I picked the Colonnade for our wedding location. Not only is the venue beautiful, the food delicious but the people were so helpful (especially Gabi). They made the day stressfree. Our guests loved the accomodations and loved being in back bay. We had our brunch and afterparty at Brasserie Joe which was a great location for guests-convenient and excellent food and service.

The Colonnade stuck out above the rest of the venues with the black and white marble, rooftop pool, and excellent food reviews. We liked the fact that our reception would be secluded from the rest of the hotel, and that we would be the only wedding that night. Everything that was promised to us by Gabi at our initial meeting came true. Although we opted out of a rooftop cocktail hour, the cocktail hour space and ballroom were absolutely perfect. Our guests were very impressed by the quality of food and presentation (thanks to Chef Nick), and many commented about the politeness and professionalism of the hotel staff. We had the absolute perfect wedding reception, which is mostly attributed to our wedding coordinator, Gabi. Gabi was with us from day one, and she was always responsive to emails, no matter what time of day. Even on the night of our wedding, Gabi checked in with us and our families several times to make sure we were happy with everything. I would highly recommend The Colonnade to anyone who is looking for a venue in the Boston area, and we thank The Colonnade staff for providing us the perfect wedding reception!

Gabi provided us with advice and support throughout the process. We had a few meetings with her at various checkpoints to make sure that planning was going well, and since she has done many weddings in the past, she provided a wealth of knowledge/advice to us. She is very good at responding to e-mails and calls right away, which made us feel that we were a priority. Gabi made sure that we were as stress-free as possible on the day of the wedding. She is very detail-oriented and handled the day-of coordination with our vendors days in advance. She even set up our centerpieces for us the night before so that we wouldn't have to worry about them. She and her staff were very good about checking up on us and handling all the details the entire wedding day so that we did not have to worry about anything. The Colonnade Hotel itself was fantastic. Most of our 180 guests were from out of town, and having our hotel in the heart of Boston allowed them to sneak in some sightseeing during their trip. The ballroom is gorgeous, and our guests enjoyed their recently renovated rooftop pool area. The food at our reception was absolutely delicious; we cannot count the number of compliments we were given by our guests. There is a French restaurant, Brasserie Jo, conveniently attached to the hotel, which is where we held our rehearsal dinner. Everything about the whole process with the Colonnade was perfect; we feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to have our reception there. Without reservations, we absolutely recommend the Colonnade Hotel to anyone and everyone!!

That's when we went to the Colonnade on a friend's recommendation. Gabi, the Senior Catering Manager, was like a breath of fresh air. She made us feel important and answered every question, introduced us to Chef Nick, showed us the hotel including the beautiful suite we'd have for our wedding night, and we hadn't even booked anything yet! We were so impressed by Gabi, we knew we'd be in good hands at the Colonnade and we were. Gabi made us feel like we were the only wedding she was working with this year. She answered all of our emails so fast, even on her days off. We met with Gabi several times throughout the year just to catch up. Our tasting was amazing with Gabi and Chef Nick who's creations blew us away. It always felt like we were meeting with friends not working on a business transaction. The week of the wedding everything ran so smoothly. Our ceremony was at the Colonnade and Gabi conducted the rehearsal and made everyone at ease as to where they should be the next day. The day of the wedding couldn't have gone smoother. The bridal party and I got ready in the gorgeous bridal suite. We had an amazing view and a lot of space to spend most of the day getting ready in. We originally booked the rooftop pool for our cocktail hour, but the weather stayed windy and chilly all day with a forecast of rain for the evening. It was so easy though to just make the decision to have the cocktail hour inside. All of our guests were so impressed with the passed hors d'oeuvres and beautiful cheese display that I don't think anyone noticed we were supposed to be outside on the rooftop. The entire hotel staff was so friendly and helpful and professional. Staff members checked in with us throughout the night to make sure we were okay and had what we wanted. Guests loved the hotel, the ballroom, and of course the food and I got many comments on how everything worked seamlessly. I'm so happy we chose the Colonnade for the biggest day of our lives. We had so much fun and I wish we could relive it all over again!

We wanted it to be mostly indoors - because July in Boston gets hot - but we also wanted some part of it to be outdoors for a summery feel. We wanted it to be in a neighborhood where out-of-towners would be able to see the best of the city by foot, and our local friends could get there by cab. We wanted amazing food, outstanding service, an awesome party, and to feel cared for - not just on the wedding night, but throughout the planning process. We got everything. Gabi Urso, our rock-star coordinator treated us like royalty from the initial walk-through til the end of the wedding night. Chef Nick is so creative, and a foodie bride's dream. And Selene, Gabi's day-of coordination partner was on top of every detail. The 950 square foot bridal suite is gorgeous, with tons of natural light for great "getting ready" photos. It was a perfect place for me and my 5 bridesmaids and mom to get our hair and makeup done. The newly-renovated rooftop pool was a beautiful and relaxed place for the cocktail hour. The reception was so elegant in the Huntington Ballroom. And the Huntington Foyer, with a cool marble checkered floor, was such a great entryway to our special space - which was an entire wing of the hotel! They only host one wedding in a day, which made ours feel so special. Can I get back to Gabi? I miss her now that it's over! Every interaction with her was a pleasure. We truly looked forward to our meetings with her because they were fun and efficient at the same time. It was calming to talk to her, because she always made us feel like everything would be fine! And she was more responsive than she even needed to be. It was as if we were her only wedding. She handled every silly question and request with ease. And she never let anything slip - even my updo! I will never forget during the reception, seeing Gabi kneeling behind me at the sweetheart table, with hairspray and bobby pins in hand, saying "your hair is falling out". And she pinned it back together. That is what you get at the Colonnade And back to the food. Chef Nick blew our guests away. The guests said it was nothing like anything they have ever had at a wedding. So creative, flavorful, generous portions, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The bride's foodie family was highly impressed. We decided to get the dessert display instead of cake. Great decision. We had peanut butter ice cream sandwiches made at the station, fruit sushi, chocolate tacos, key lime pie push pops, and salted caramel bundino. It was delicious and fun - it got guests to continue to mingle as they discussed which dessert to try first! The Colonnade is an elegant space where couples will be truly spoiled. Planning a wedding is stressful for so many reasons. Guest lists, invitations, dress alterations, and family dynamics can drive a girl nuts. But throughout it all, we knew that our night at The Colonnade would be perfect. And it was. Our only complaint is that we can't do it all over again!

t Boston has to offer during their 3 day stay over a holiday weekend. We also chose the Colonnade because our daughter connected immediately with Gabi and Chef Nick. We felt confident that this special day in our lives would be in good hands and we were not disappointed in any way. Every last detail was attended to and when the wedding weekend finally arrived we were able to enjoy and take it all in. Gabi Urso, who plans all weddings at the Colonnade, provided unbelievable time and attention to our daughter and now son in law:) She responded to their numerous emails and questions immediately throughout a year of planning. Literally any request we made was attended to with no worries or hassles. We can't say enough about the food both presentation and taste. The Colonnade is not your run of the mill or typical hotel wedding. The food was beyond outstanding. What we had at our tasting was exactly what each and every guest experienced and enjoyed the the night of the wedding. The presentation of everything from cocktail hour to the salad and main course was perfectly delicious. Every plate was served straight from the kitchen, hot, and perfectly cooked. As my husband and I circulated and visited our guests during dinner, we noticed how every guest just about licked their plates clean! The compliments about the food have been never ending. All in all the night met our expectations and beyond. We have many joyous memories to hold onto. In additon, the hotel staff could not have been nicer. In fact, I can't think of any hotel we've ever stayed in where the staff were so sincere and attentive. A special thank to all the doorman, and espcially to Norman who went out of his way to make my family feel comfortable.

t even know where to begin... from the moment you first contact Gabi to look at the Colonnade she is attentive and extremely personable and this doesn't stop when you book with them. I sat down with Gabi numerous times to plan out the entire day (besides just the regular meetings) and she acted like I was the only bride she was working with! No question was too small, she always responded within a day or two even if she wasn't working! Then the hotel itself! It's amazing! Every single person that works there is friendly and remembers your name! Norman the bellman remembered each person in my wedding that was staying at the hotel and made it a point to say hello and be extremely friendly. I didn't have to worry about a single thing the day of the wedding because Gabi and the staff takes care of every little detail. Chef Nick is a master chef!! All of my guests (all 250 of them!) told me how delicious the food was. Totally the opposite of what you think of for wedding food. HAVE YOUR WEDDING AT THE COLONNADE!!!

Throughout the months of planning, Gabi provided constant support for every question. Her responses to our emails were immediate and thorough, even on her days off. Gabi was patient with us and supportive in every way. During the actual wedding weekend, Gabi and everyone else employed by The Colonnade provided exceptional hospitality to us and to our guests. Our accommodations were lovely in every way and our daughter's wedding reception was beautiful and perfect. Special compliments to Chef Nick Calias -- he is truly a master chef! Our guests are still raving about what was so beautifully prepared and served. Thank you to Gabi, Chef Nick, and everyone at The Colonnade! The event was executed seamlessly, and my husband and I were taken care of throughout the entire weekend! The hotel itself is beautiful and easily accessible for out of town guests. The venue is one of the biggest decisions you'll make about the wedding, and we could not have picked a better establishment!

7 venues and nothing clicked. One Saturday after looking at three other venues the Colonnade was last on the list. To be honest, we were tired from looking and upset we hadn't found anything yet. Then we went to the Colonnade. It was a hidden gem! We knew the second we walked in the door that was where we would get married. It is a beautiful hotel and ballroom, that combines a traditional Boston hotel with a modern updated look.The perk is that you are the only wedding. Typically you and your guests take up the entire place- because it is a boutique hotel. Many of our guests stayed the night. The hotels rooms are newly renovated, and the room block discount is an unbelievable deal for guest when normally the rooms are very pricey. Not only did we love the space, we knew it was important to be happy with the wedding planner we would be working with, and know that one person we would work with the whole time through. Gabi Urso, the wedding planner at the Colonnade, made the experience so enjoyable and effortless. She truly cared about getting to know us and our wedding. She was more than quick to respond to my many questions no matter the time or day. I did not have to go chasing her for deadlines, and things i needed to be on top of for planning. She was always ahead of the game with reminders. The day of the wedding went perfect! One thing we heard from all of our guests was how amazing the food was. We knew this after having a private tasting with Chef Nick. The food was NOT typical wedding food. It was unique and tasted amazing. We customized our appetizers to be Irish, Italian, and Spanish themed. Chef created new recipes just for our request. We even got to see him the night of the wedding! Everything went perfectly as planned, and Gabi was there to make sure of it. The reception even continued at the hotel bar afterwards.Everyone from the servers to the hotel staff made the night seamless, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Here are a few items about The Colonnade that made our wedding all the more special: Banquet Services – all of the banquet services were excellent. The staff was prompt and all banquet arrangements were in place well in advance of the designated/required times. Setup and handling of all our arrangements was done very well. The staff was polite and there were an ample number to accommodate all of our guests and guest services. Functional Rooms - newly remodeled and beautiful, The Boston Ballroom was used for our Jewish ceremony where a stage and classic backdrop was provided for our Chuppah. The Ballroom was open and inviting for all our guests to join in our ceremony. Our reception was held in The Huntington Ballroom, which was incredibly elegant and looked truly amazing with the joint efforts of The Colonnade team and our outside vendors. We also had a side room to sign our Ketubah and sneak into if, for instance, to privately fix the dress bustle, which was a great benefit. We love the look of the black and white marble in our pictures, very classic/uncluttered feel for our 200 plus wedding. Food - Of all the sites visited, The Colonnade was the only hotel whose chef, “Chef Nick”, the same chef behind Brasserie Jo, greeted us, and was just as enthusiastic about the food for our wedding as we were. He was open to curtailing servings to meet our wishes and even creating gift favors if we wanted, big pluses for us. One of the things we did at our wedding was a Viennese table, which included many types of deserts, including cake pops, which our friends are still talking about. All our guests have told us how much they enjoyed the food; thank you, chef and team. Personnel/Gabriel Urso - We can't imagine working with anyone else on our wedding day. It was nice to work towards this special occasion with someone we truly felt comfortable with. She goes above and beyond, is incredibly quick to respond to questions, emails, text messages, etc., accommodates, and was literally on her hands and knees with the maid of honor assisting with the dress bustle on the wedding day. She made us feel like we were family throughout the process and we will always be thankful for her and the rest of the Colonnade Team! Overall Results – all aspects of our wedding truly turned out to be everything we expected and more. From start to finish The Colonnade Team was there to support and guide our wedding plans and to host our big day. If you are choosing The Colonnade Hotel for your wedding, congratulations!! From the very first tour every interaction had a personal touch and at the end of the event we truly felt we were treated as family. Chef Nick - everything was above and beyond our expectations. For a couple that work in the restaurant industry, it goes without saying that food is important to us. To hear all of our guests raving about every single piece and every single detail was exactly what we wanted. The flatbreads and charcuterie at the end of the night was perfect - I think I ate three by myself. Gabi - it was truly a pleasure working with you to plan this very important day. Your personal touch, attention to detail, fast responses, and fun attitude are something I admire and have applied at my own hospitality position. And though we missed you personally that day, Michelle executed the event flawlessly and with the same personal touch. Selene did a wonderful job keeping us right on schedule, we didn't have to think about a thing. It's hard to say in words how important it was to us to wow our guests - the expectation was high....from them. 10 different venues (including quite a few other high-end hotels in Boston), and we are still so thrilled that we ended up at the Colonnade. From the day that we first met with the event manager Gabi, I couldn't imagine planning a wedding without her by our side. Even though we saw a few places after the Colonnade that were quite pretty and may have made more sense for logistical reasons, we knew that we couldn’t have our reception anywhere else! Gabi’s enthusiasm and sincerity far surpassed any other coordinator we met with. We could easily tell that she wasn't just doing her job, she loved being part of the process and wanted to be truly invested in every couple's big day. At one point we mentioned that we were somewhat anxious that the space we wanted to use for our ceremony wouldn't have an on-site coordinator. Before I could even ask if this was something she could help with, she jumped in saying she’d be more than happy to come across town to run things (even giving up part of her Friday night to meet us there for a rehearsal!). I’ve heard stories from friends about how stressful things could get because their coordinators were hard to get in touch with, or just weren’t very helpful. I cannot think of one time where I did not hear back from Gabi within a couple of hours of contact. As prompt, attentive and thoughtful she was to anything we ever asked, I would have thought we were the only wedding she was supporting (and as you can tell from other reviews, they always have a ton of weddings going on!). I have no doubt that every other couple she’s worked with feels the same. One thing I remember from our initial meeting is that she told us she always has a final meeting with each couple early the week of the wedding. After going through all of the details one last time, she tells you that you can no longer worry about logistics, vendors, or potential issues. It’s all in the Colonnade’s hands from that point on; your only job is to enjoy your family, friends and the excitement of the days leading up to your wedding. She coordinated with all of our vendors so that we didn’t have to do any of the last minute confirmations. Selene, the banquet manager, was also a huge part in making sure things went smoothly and also made sure that we were where we needed to be at the right times for parent dances, cake cutting, and everything else. As far as I know, everything went according to plan- if there were any hiccups, it was handled so seamlessly that I still have no idea! As others have written, the food at the Colonnade is phenomenal. I am still hearing from guests about how amazed they were by the quality and presentation of all of the food. Everyone has said it’s the best wedding food they have ever had, and one friend even went so far as to say it was the best meal he’s ever had anywhere! You can tell that Chef Nick puts so much thought into the food that he creates, and made a point to meet us early in the planning process. He had so many ideas that we knew would be delicious and so creative that our guests would be wowed. I can’t imagine doing anything differently and would without a doubt recommend the Colonnade to any bride!

The rest of the staff truly welcomed me, my family, and guests upon our arrival and all the way through our after wedding brunch. Overall, The Colonnade exceeded my wedding expectations!

comparable hotels to the Colonnade and realized they were only comparable on price. Everything else that the Colonnade had to offer was above and beyond and far more appealing than other hotel packages. The food was absolutely amazing. Chef Nick does an unbelievable job. The food was not only delicious but we had multiple guests tell us the display was something they had never seen before! We had our cocktail hour at the rooftop pool overlooking the city. The location spoke for itself and our guests are still in awe of it. The ballroom is beautiful and spacious. The black and white checkered floor makes for some great wedding pics as well! The bridal suite we had the night of the wedding could have been an apartment..I felt so at home in it! I have absolutely no complaints about the Colonnade. I loved every second of our wedding. The main reason we were able to have fun and not stress at all the day of the wedding was Gabi. She is an amazing wedding coordinator and goes above and beyond her job description. She truly makes you feel at ease from beginning to end about everything. When I dropped everything off to her the week of the wedding I had absolutely no worries at all. She is so quick to respond to any emails and is always beyond friendly. Gabi becomes one of your friends and makes your wedding even more amazing then it already is. I strongly and whole heartedly recommend the Colonnade hotel if you are looking for a great hotel venue in the middle of Boston!

She helped us greatly with decision making, vendors, coordinating the reception, etc. I didn't have to worry about a thing as I knew our event was in Gabi's capable hands. Chef Nick was so helpful with menu selection. Our guests raved that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Since we live out of state, we had to rely upon the staff at The Colonnade to complete the vision that we shared for our daughter's wedding. I cannot adequately express my gratitude to EVERYONE at The Colonnade. They made the wedding weekend so enjoyable and a great success!

eady for the wedding in the living room. We had a lot of people in the room and it did not feel too crowded. At any one time there was: a makeup artist, 3 hairdressers, 2 mothers, 3 bridesmaids, 2 jr. bridesmaids, a flower girl, and me. 13 people in the one room plus the videographer and the photographer. We were able to move around comfortably and relax. (Although it did get a bit loud at times!) The Coordinator(s): Gabi was amazing, friendly, warm, flexible, available, accommodating, quick to respond, easy to contact, generous, reliable, and a million more wonderful qualities. I really appreciated that every time my mom told Gabi of a change in our plans, Gabi said it was no problem but confirmed with her that she had checked with me (the bride) first! Every silly question or concern I had Gabi fielded with grace and reassurance and I had complete confidence in her. To be honest, we are a pretty demanding family with very high expectations and Gabi met and exceeded them all. She made sure to get in touch with both my fiancée and me regularly to make sure we had no concerns that were not being met! Gabi was available at all hours for us and regularly met with my mom too to help coordinate linens and settings and everything else. Selene was also wonderful. We met her closer to the actual wedding, as she was our “handler” to make sure we were in all the right places at the right time! She was terrific as well! She reminded us when we wanted to make a speech and when the parents’ speech was and let us know the proper time to cut the cake and everything. She was very on top of our schedule and every goal we had was met! The Chef: Chef Nick was creative, accommodating, flexible and friendly. We wanted a “kosher-style” wedding but didn’t want to miss out on any of the gourmet food. For the cocktail hour, we had dairy and fish. The cheese display was stunning and Chef worked to create elegant, delicious hor d'oeuvres. For the reception, we wanted it dairy free and Chef created beautiful delicious courses. We really loved the dumpling as a first course, but it had dairy in it, so Chef experimented and learned how to make it for us without any dairy. Everything was cooked to perfection and 9+ months later people are still talking about how wonderful the food was. Chef even made for our October wedding mini-caramel apples to go with the wedding cake!! He is flexible, creative, fun and incredibly, indescribably talented. The Hotel Staff: Everyone from the front desk staff to the concierge was wonderful and friendly. Not one guest had a complaint! They were helpful and welcoming and it was an overall perfect experience. Sheb, one of the concierges, even recognized my husband and I 2 months later walking through a mall! It just added to the nice, warm family feeling we got from the entire experience. All in all, we loved every interaction we had at the Colonnade. We picked it because it was on the smaller side and we knew that we would be the only wedding there. We loved the unique, funky art deco feel in the hotel, and we still got a ballroom with chandeliers that looked elegant. The staff was wonderful, Gabi was our rock and Chef Nick was the icing on our cake!

and all the reservations staff went above and beyond to make everything perfect. We planned our wedding from another continent but that was no problem here. There was always quick and informative communication to help answer any questions, calm any nerves, help out with any last minute details. And the food here.... WOW. We knew it already from our taste testing, but at the wedding all of our guests were so impressed with the food and how it was not your "typical wedding, banquet food" but actually REALLY delicious. We had our reception and ceremony here with a gorgeous cocktail hour at the pool on the roof top. You can easily have everything at the colonnade, but have it still feel unique and not like you are in one room/place the whole time.

ease. The wedding coordinator, Gabi Urso was wonderful from our first visit all the way through to the last dance of the night. She was there to answer every question and alleviate any concerns. . We can simply not express in a review how wonderful this venue was for our wedding. It was perfect and made our wedding a dream come true. From the first day when we first saw The Colonnade we were treated like royalty. No other venue made us feel this way. Even after we were sold on the hotel, we were still treated like royalty until we departed the hotel the day after our wedding. Gabi Urso is astonishing as the event coordinator. Anytime we e-mailed her, 9AM or 10PM, she would send a reply immediately. We actually told her to stop working around the clock! We could always reach Gabi and she was amazingly helpful. She took information for all of our vendors and whipped them all into shape. She took our wild requests without flinching. She did things that weren't really her job such as layout our favors. She was the ultimate professional but also a great friend during the process. As a foodie it was a pleasure to see such an excellent wedding menu. It tastes as good as it sounds. And all of the food looks like a work of art! People were extremely wowed with all of the food at the wedding. It was great to work with Chef Nick and have the opportunity to meet with him a couple of times before the wedding. The spread the chef created for the pool was exquisite and the pool is worth the upcharge considering the food that is also included with it. The Colonnade was recently renovated and the entrance and lobby are beautiful. Spring for the pool for cocktail hour. The view of the city is fantastic and provides a truly unique Boston wedding experience. We are sure you will be blown away if you choose The Colonnade for your wedding. Atompshere, staff, food, is all top class. We could never truly put down in writing how happy we were with our decision to have our wedding here (WeddingWire made me cut down my review!).

nd Chef Nick came to speak with us multiple times to inspire us. The outcome was to die for. Gabi was an amazing coordinator and took all of my requests in stride and with a smile. Being in the heart of Boston, my many out-of-town guests were able to walk around to see the sights. The only downside to the venue was the high food and beverage minimum. We added much more food than was needed to meet the minimum for our guest count. But all of it was delicious!

n. she was outgoing, caring, efficient, and so thorough. every interaction with her was an absolute pleasure! the week of the wedding when stress mounts for most couples, gabi kept us (and our families - a tall order!) calm and well-supported. i have been a bridesmaid in numerous weddings and i don't know any other brides who had wedding coordinators who met the couple for drinks multiple times in the weeks/months before the wedding just to check in, have a laugh, and alleviate any worries. she absolutely went above and beyond. the entire night went off absolutely perfectly - the setting is beautiful, chic, and sophisticated. the food is delicious - no "wedding food" here as our guests raved that the meals were better than ones they would order in their favorite restaurants! we had a large amount of out-of-towners staying at the colonnade, and everyone commented on the staff at there - from the doormen, bellhop and concierge on during the day - to the bartenders and servers who worked the wedding - everyone was overly accommodating, friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to be of help. because they aren't a wedding factory, the attention to detail is superb - you feel like you are their #1 priority at every interaction. i'm not sure if gabi passed out our pictures ahead of time, but every staff member we passed knew who we were, wished us well, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. if you want a city wedding that is classy, elegant, and unique, but still warm and welcoming, definitely come here. worth every penny!!

And we were especially excited for the cocktail hour on the roof top. 99% of our guests traveled far for our wedding and we really wanted them to have an unbelievable Boston experience. That almost didn't happen when out of an entire weekend of perfect weather, it poured rain during our ceremony! Thankfully it stopped raining and Chef Nick had the roof area dried off and let our guests come up for drinks and passed appetizers :-) Everyone raved about the food, the ambiance and the hotel staff!

Gabi was with us every step of the way, and assured that our day went as smoothly as possible. No stone was left unturned, and I can proudly say that I was not stressed that day. Stellar Service, Incredible Food, overall an Outstanding Venue! All our guests genuinely had a great time, and are still talking about it! I would highly recommend the Colonnade.

I had... even back when we were over 1 year away from the event! The food was spectacular. All our guests loved it! Prior to the event, a few people had said to us "don't worry about the food, no one ever remembers it, and it isn't what's important..." Well, people raved. Chef Nick is just amazing. His presentations are stunning, and the flavors... well, they don't do blah here. I had a wonderful stress-free day (other than the first dance, although that's neither here nor there), and it was all due to our vendors, especially Gabi and the team at the Colonnade. Thanks so much to them and hopefully you'll choose them too!

ol! It was a perfect day. The appetizers at cocktail hour got rave reviews from all of our guests! Chef Nick really outdid himself with the freshness and creativity! We were able to cater to one of our guests, who had recently switched to a raw food diet, with no extra effort on apps! Dinner ... ah, dinner. We wanted awesome food. This was one of our main criteria, as my husband and I love food. Chef Nick was amazing at the menu tasting, and dinner did not disappoint. We had several guests come up to us through the evening, telling us this was the best wedding dinner they ever had, or that they couldn't believe they were at a wedding, the food was like a plated restaurant! I cannot say enough about the facilities or staff, truly. We first met with Kristyn, but later she took another position, and we had Gabi as our coordinator. We loved Kristyn, so were sad, but Gabi is a ROCKSTAR. In the millions of questions about how we wanted our day, she helped us at every step, helping us think through things when we had no idea, and made things SO EASY for us. On our wedding day, she was the unsung hero in the awesome shades, making everything flow so smoothly. I can't even tell you everything she did because I'm sure there are so many I didn't see - but didn't have problems with, either, because of her work. Selene, the banquet coordinator, and her team were great. They catered to all of the special meal requests perfectly, and several guests commented on their great servers! Overall, I'd recommend this place again and again, to everyone. Great, lovely facilities, and a staff to die for! (As a note, our wedding was just under 100 guests, which was the rough max for the pool area)

wo of the most genuine people we have ever met. They are kind, considerate, and extremely attentive. They made our dream wedding a reality. Throughout each step of the way Gabi was there to help us, answer any and all questions we had, and met with us as frequently as we needed. She was always there when we needed her, with a smile on her face and made sure all of our worries were taken care of. Gabi assured us that our wedding day would be phenomenal and she delivered tenfold. On the day of the wedding, the food was unbelievable, the presentation was magnificent, Chef nick truly went above and beyond all of our expectations. He is a true artist when it comes to presentation and creating any entree you could possibly imagine. They even had surprises for us on the wedding day! We truly cannot say enough positive things about the Colonnade Hotel, Chef Nick and Gabi, they are truly amazing people, who cared about our wedding day as much as we did.

, Gabi, was wonderful. The ballroom is stunning without any wedding decor, but once we saw it after the vendors and Colonnade staff had executed our vision, it literally took our breath away. Gabi was so kind, organized, responsive, and accommodating with all of our special requests, even facilitating the hanging of a "chandelier" my husband created from glass balls and fishing wire over the sweetheart table! She reached out to all of our vendors to coordinate everything for the day-of, which took a ton of stress off of me the last couple of weeks before the wedding! I trusted that everything would be perfect in her hands, and it was!! All of our guests have been raving about the food. It's very clear that chef Nick takes a lot of pride in his work--the stationary display he did for the cocktail hour looked incredible and was incredibly delicious! The passed hors d'oeuvres were creative and plentiful (unlike many other venues in the area, they do not limit the number of hors d'oeuvres per guest; they are simply passed until the end of the cocktail hour). And the entrees were beautifully presented, elegant, and delicious. Chef Nick was very flexible and willing to tweak the menu to our tastes. The level of service was unparalleled, from the servers to the concierge desk (especially the ever-attentive lead concierge, Jerry) to the front-desk staff. Luci, the server who took care of my husband and I for the night, made sure we ate everything that was served and then some! We would highly recommend the Colonnade Hotel to anyone planning a wedding in Boston!
