A former bank lobby built in 1929, The Columns boasts 22 massive Ionic pillars, each 32 feet high, and 20,000 square feet of historic grandeur. It offers two levels of event space connected to a nine-story parking garage — perfect for events hosting 200-800 people. The Columns Located in the heart of Memphis, The Columns evokes the rich history of Memphis while offering all the amenities of a vibrant downtown. Many of Memphis’ top attractions — including the world-famous Rendezvous restaurant and the renowned music clubs of Beale Street — are just a block or two away.

feeling cramped or crowded. We were a shocked at the sticker price initially, but decided it was worth it, especially because you can provide your own alcohol and licensed bartenders instead of paying an inflated per-drink price. Elizabeth and Joanna were wonderful to work with! The venue is absolutely gorgeous! Our guests loved the space! We had a beautiful wedding reception and would definitely recommend the Columns!

If you're looking for a reception location in downtown Memphis, look no further. We had our reception at the Columns and loved loved loved every minute of it! It is a GORGEOUS plac...
e on its own, so you can go as light or heavy on flowers and decor as you want. Carpet is a little worn, but once everything is in the room you will not notice it at all. There are SO many different things you can do with the space and hundreds of different ways to set everything up so it's almost guaranteed no two events will be the same. The uplighting on the Columns is so romantic, and can even be changed to match the colors of your wedding. While they do have "preferred" vendors, you are not forced to pick from a list when it comes to florist, caterer, etc, as long as each vendor meets the insurance requirements and such. Two blocks from Raifords (perfect after reception party!), a couple of blocks from Beale, and with several hotels in walking distance, you can't go wrong. Everyone LOVED it! Side note: The address is 1 Commerce Square, and the Columns is in the Iberia bank building on the corner of 2nd and Monroe - 40 S Main might be the address for the actual bank.

lowers and lighting, it is breathtaking. There is no venue like this in Memphis. Stacey Keene is WONDERFUL to work with. You are allowed to bring in basically whatever you want. I would encourage you to go and look at this venue, you will not be disappointed!!
