The Columns at Six Penny Farm

I was just in a wedding at now Brix and Columns this past weekend and it was fantastic. The reception area was plenty large enough for everyone but the outside area was so spacious we all enjoyed the beautiful weather and views! The staff was very friendly and helpful, Winston is a total peach, and the bridal suite was one of the nicest I’ve been in. Plus, their wine is superb 👍🏻 Highly recommend!

My daughter's wedding took place on Oct 8, 2017 at the beautiful Columns at Six Penny Farm in McGaheysville, just east of Harrisonburg, Va. Stephanie was so gracious on our first visit to this amazing venue...the views from every corner of the property are breathtaking. We planned the outdoor ceremony on the pergola with the Blue Ridge in the background. For the reception we enjoyed the newly built 60' X 60' reception hall that was spacious enough to seat our 160 guests while allowing for a large dance floor. Our DJ, Alexander Verno from Richmond, played his music into the night and the acoustics in the room were excellent. Included in the venue cost were ceremony chairs and set up, and the set up of reception tables, chairs, linens and napkins as well as miscellaneous decorations and lawn games. The caterers, Pumpernickel Pickle, appreciated the large kitchen set up space with large walk in refrigerator. Stephanie recommended our photographer, J Ellis Photography, and there were unlimited spaces , inside and out, to get some gorgeous shots of the bridal party and guests. The Columns is a beautiful, unique setting for a wedding. The venue has plenty of parking, is easily accessible from Route 33, east of Harrisonburg, offers a price inclusive of many of the items you would normally have to rent separately, and is owned and operated by a local family who go the extra mile for you. We are so happy with our decision to have my daughter's fall wedding at the Columns. Thank you, Stephanie and Steve.
