If you are on the fence about booking your wedding at The Commodore, do yourself a favor and DO IT. We had the best day of our lives on 6.26.26 and it is all thanks to this venue and team.
We traveled from the Chicagoland area just to celebrate at this beautiful venue, and it exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we booked until the very end of our wedding day, Julie Gerber and the team at The Commodore made us feel completely taken care of. They were incredibly welcoming, organized, quick to respond, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. No question ever felt like a dumb question, and their communication and attention to detail gave us so much peace of mind throughout the entire planning process.
The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. The lakeside ceremony setting, outdoor cocktail hour, and reception spaces are all stunning, and our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful everything was. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and the staff made sure the day flowed seamlessly from start to finish.
If you’re looking for a venue with an incredible team that truly cares about their couples, The Commodore is it. We are so grateful we chose this venue, and we would make the same decision a hundred times over. Thank you, Julie and the entire team at The Commodore, for giving us the wedding of our dreams. Any couple would be blessed to have their wedding here. We will cherish these memories forever. ❤️
So fortunate we could hold our wedding of our dreams at The Commodore! Our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all held on site. We had nearly 50% of our guests fly in from out of state and they, along with WI locals, were GUSHING about the interiors, exterior, the food and drink and how well everything flowed. Julie and team were beyond communicative and made sure no detail was spared. The Commodore also has gorgeous linens and tables/chairs included so that was less rental! I could go on and on. Go check out the space and see for yourself!

First opened in 1902 as the Pleasant View Hotel and Resort, The Commodore has become the premier events destination in Wisconsin's Lake Country. Boasting exquisite views of Nagawicka Lake and featuring event settings of various sizes, this wedding venue is ideally suited to hosting both the grandest of gatherings and the most intimate of affairs.
The Grand Heritage Ballroom can seat up to 200 guests and features a full wall of windows overlooking the serene waters of the lake. If an outdoor ceremony fits your wedding vision more aptly, the Pleasant View Pavilion can seat up to 200 and is perched on the water's edge. The Fountain Patio is a quaint space situated next to the Pavilion that wraps around a gorgeous fountain, a fabulous option to host the cocktail hour. The Nagawicka Suite is named after the lake on which the premises are located and features a magnificent room for the wedding party to prepare.
