The Copper Collective San Diego

ecial. Her editing style is absolutely stunning, as every photo looks natural, vibrant, and full of emotion. Plus, she has shot at our venue many times, which was somethin we definitely wanted. She made us feel so relaxed and confident that we actually enjoyed the whole process. She gave gentle guidance when we needed it and stepped back at the perfect moments to capture the most authentic, candid shots. Looking through our gallery feels like reliving the day all over again, and she managed to highlight all the little moments we didn’t even realize she captured. Our friends and family haven’t stopped complimenting the photos, and we’re so grateful for the care, creativity, and heart she put into her work. I would work with her again in a heartbeat. She’s truly the best, and anyone would be lucky to have her as their photographer!

ny, and makes you feel at ease. My husband and I had never had professional photos taken before we got our engagement photos and she made the process so simple and fun! For our wedding day, she made sure we took enough photos, but also got us back to enjoy cocktail hour for a bit, which was important to us. We love all of our photos! We look forward to working with Ally in the future for other events. ☺️ Note: we got married on 10/4, but the Knot won’t let me go back one month and select our actual wedding date.

shots- just perfect!

edding! From start to finish, they were a joy to work with, and their professionalism and creativity truly shone through. Anna and her team were dedicated to ensuring that every special moment was documented, and they did not miss a thing! The photos they produced are turning out absolutely stunning, perfectly capturing the emotions and details of our day. We were amazed at how they seamlessly blended into the background while still managing to get all the important shots, from candid moments to beautiful portraits. We fully anticipate that the final results will exceed our expectations, and we are so grateful to have these memories preserved in such a beautiful way. If you're looking for talented photographers and videographers who are passionate about their craft, we highly recommend Copper Collective. Thank you, Anna, for making our wedding memories last a lifetime! Best wishes, Isaiah & Sharon Turner

photographer), and they turned out incredible! She was so nice and made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. I really feel like they captured our joy on the big day while also getting the little details and moments in between. Definitely book them!

ey made my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera and we actually had FUN taking photos! At the wedding, they did a great job of capturing our joy and love and also capturing the happiness of our guests. We have relived the day over and over going through the photos and have truly never felt more beautiful and happy than how Anna and Ally captured us in the photos. Throughout the whole process, Anna was so professional and on top of everything. She was great at communicating with us at each step and making sure we felt comfortable with all the decisions being made. Anna also worked with us to figure out a package that worked for our budget and desires which was so greatly appreciated. We loved working with Anna so much so that my brother is now hiring Copper Collective for his wedding. We would highly recommend Anna, Ally, and Copper Collective to anybody looking for a stellar photographer!

and gives you confidence that everything is under control. Our engagement photo shoot was very fun, and she was kind enough to accommodate a somewhat strenuous hike to the beach from the Torrey Pines Gliderport (sorry!). She was great at directing us so that we got a variety of different shots, and we like her editing style. During our wedding is where her and her team REALLY shined. I was so, so, so impressed with how Ally managed to orchestrate all the shots between our families. The attention to detail was great, and Ally went above and beyond. One example was that after our post-ceremony photos we didn't have enough time to eat (and we were starving!). Ally realized this and proactively gathered appetizers for us to each between photos with guests. I can't image a better photographer. Ally, you rock!

ts between us and our family and friends. The finished product was better than I could have ever imagined. These photos both posed and candid will be treasured forever. I highly recommend making her part of your wedding day team.

demeanor put us completely at ease – something that proved invaluable on our wedding day. What sets Jessica apart is her remarkable ability to capture genuine moments while making everyone feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. Her natural, unobtrusive approach allowed us to truly be ourselves, resulting in photographs that perfectly capture the joy and emotion of our special day. Her artistic eye and technical expertise shine through in every shot, from intimate couple portraits to candid reception moments. The quality of her work speaks for itself – we've received countless compliments on our wedding photos from friends and family. Her style is particularly well-suited for weddings, striking that perfect balance between timeless elegance and contemporary flair. Each photo tells a story, and together they create a beautiful narrative of our wedding day that we'll treasure forever. Beyond her exceptional photography skills, Jessica's professionalism and organization kept everything running smoothly. She had a wonderful way of keeping us on schedule without ever making us feel rushed, and she seamlessly coordinated with our other vendors to ensure she captured every important moment. If you're looking for a wedding photographer who combines incredible talent with a wonderfully personable approach, look no further than Jessica. She exceeded our expectations in every way possible, and we cannot recommend her highly enough.

s also exactly what we were hoping for. Would definitely recommend!

lly was such a pleasure to work with, she was very sweet and fun, helping make the day feel relaxed and easy, making it more comfortable and natural to pose for pictures. I definitely recommend!

day. From couple and family portraits, to all the small details throughout the day, Jessica (and Ally) captured the day with such beauty and we are so grateful to cherish her images for the years to come. We cannot thank them enough!

herish for years to come. The team was very easy to communicate with, found great photo-op spots, and really brought our wedding day to life! They made sure to get all of the shots we wanted while keeping the day moving on time. I can't thank them enough for such a great experience!

to you on your big day. The process working with Laura, both before and after the wedding, has been seamless and easy. I also had the opportunity to do a boudoir shoot with her before our wedding - something I would never have thought I would feel comfortable doing - and she made it so easy and fun. I am in love with both the boudoir photos and our wedding previews. I can't wait to see the full final wedding gallery - I know it will be everything we dreamed of from the best day of our lives. Ally (also of Copper Collective) was Laura's assistant photographer on the day of our wedding, and she was also wonderful! We are very grateful we found the Copper Collective and will definitely be going to them with any photography needs in the future. Thank you so much!

tant to us on our special day. Incredibly professional and kind- Ally and Laura know their stuff and we were so grateful to have them there that day (seriously, thanks for keeping me sane!). All of our shots came out AMAZING. This was probably the most well spent part of our entire wedding budget and I truly recommend booking them if you’re having a SoCal wedding.

I was beyond impressed when we got our sneak peaks back just the day after our wedding and only a few more weeks for the rest to arrive. They truly know how to make you feel comfortable and beautiful! I would highly recommend the Copper Collective!!

t to expect. They were efficient the day-of and they helped everyone feel comfortable and to have fun while all the pictures were being taken. We got preview images 5 days after our wedding, which was super fast, and they were stunning! The rest of the pictures were delivered exactly 4 weeks after our wedding - and they were great. We would highly recommend Jessica & her team!!

raphs full of light and color, but they were very professional and communicative. They sent multiple surveys to get to know us as a couple and better understand our photography wants/needs before our wedding. And they were super quick with their processing turnaround time with editing, and we received 30 photos just four days after our wedding - which is pretty much unheard of! Jessica is super kind, easy to work with and didn't pressure us to make any decisions. We strongly recommend Cooper Collective! You won't regret this decision as wedding photos are one of the most treasured items from your wedding day!

lf was very professional and took amazing photographs! She came with one other photographer that she worked with. They took so many photographs and everything turned out better than we could have hoped for! Their experience showed in the photos and in their direction of those photos. They are a bit on the pricey side, but we could not be happier, we were glad to spend the price to have such wonderful memories captured!

th our wedding photos. Both Ally and Jessica were incredible to work with- prompt, so kind, and incredibly personable. They caught every important detail of our special day and had us laughing and smiling in every photo. The turnaround time for our photos was very quick, we received sneak peek photos the day after, preview photos within the first week and our entire album within a month of our wedding. One very specific detail that truly stood out to me was the photos the team had caught of moments between me and my dad as well as me and my husband. Both moments were so special and in the moment I did not realize the team was photographing us. When we received our wedding album I was pleasantly surprised with images of both moments, perfectly captured for me to have forever. The Copper Collective does such a wonderful job encompassing such a special day and providing photos that will last a lifetime. They are 1000% worth the investment!

they time to get to know me and my "husband to be" - so many consultations I had felt transactional and I did not get that at all from Jessica. I especially liked the thoughtful questionnaires that their team sent to get to know what was most important to us on our wedding day, what we love most about each other and any family dynamics their team should be aware. Leading up and day of the wedding they were so communicative and gave great directions / pointers on how to get the best photos. We also had a videographer through another vendor and they worked seamlessly together. We got a couple of photos the weekend of our wedding and our wedding previews arrived quickly (~2 weeks after) - we can't wait to see the rest! Their photo album link also makes it really easy to navigate, view, print and share photos with family/friends. We are so happy with our photos and I can't recommend their team enough!!

nd passion for photography transformed our wedding day into a timeless masterpiece of memories that my partner and I will cherish forever. From our initial meeting, Ally displayed a level of professionalism and genuine enthusiasm that immediately put us at ease. They took the time to understand our vision, our story, and the moments we wanted to capture. On the big day, Ally and her team seamlessly blended into the festivities, capturing every emotion, every smile, and every heartfelt moment with an artistic eye and unparalleled skill. The resulting photographs are nothing short of breathtaking. Ally has an incredible ability to not just take pictures, but to tell a story through their lens. Each photograph is a work of art, beautifully composed and infused with the raw emotions of the day. The candid shots are intimate and genuine, while the posed portraits are elegant and sophisticated. Every image reflects the love, joy, and happiness of our wedding day in the most stunning and authentic way. In addition to their artistic prowess, the Copper Collective demonstrated exceptional customer service. They were responsive, accommodating, and attentive to our needs throughout the entire process. Their passion for their craft and their genuine desire to capture our love story in the most authentic way possible truly sets them apart. In conclusion, Ally and the Copper Collective are not just a photographer; they are a storyteller, an artist, and a true professional.

or capturing our special day. Our lead photographer Jessica stayed with me the entire time, a calming energy and incredibly accommodating during our portraits. There was a parade and festival event the same weekend, the weather was a big factor that day, and we got every shot we wanted at Balboa Park. Jessica found the perfect locations for us to have a quiet moment together. Unforgettable. We LOVE our beautiful portraits. And the moments in between. Every detail of the reception was captured with great artistry. The images were delivered in record time, both the sneak peaks and the full collection. We are obsessed! Thank you for your kindness, positivity and for going above and beyond!

t when necessary - Has the perfect balance of being professional but also laid back/comfortable - Is the day-of hype girl you didn't know you needed - Treats your family/bridal party/guests kindly and politely - Keeps the train on the tracks schedule wise. More details: Our wedding was March 18, 2023 and we hired Jessica Van. While I can only personally speak to her, Copper Collective is her team and I would've trusted our day with any of them knowing she's at the helm. Jess passed the vibe check right away for us. She has a laid back energy that really puts you at ease, but at the same time was completely professional and on her game every step of the way. Starting with our engagement photos, we loved getting to know our photographer and vice versa over that session. It made us way less nervous on wedding day because we already had a great rapport with her. Also she read us so well, I feel like she instinctively picked up on what we liked and didn't like. We are not photoshoot people, so we were worried we'd feel a little awkward or embarrassed at times, but didn't end up feeling that way at all which I 100% attribute to Jessica. Day of our wedding, her and her assistant were incredible. They were right on time, rolled in with amazing energy - excited, ready to rock. They ran the show - Jessica kept everyone on schedule and did it kindly but with authority. I've been to weddings where I couldn't believe how rude and unorganized the photographer was, and I'm so glad we didn't have that experience for our guests. At times, I personally was getting overwhelmed and stressed, and Jessica without missing a beat and without me even realizing in the moment kept me focused on just enjoying the day, she calmed me down, hyped me up - I was like everyone should have this type of wingwoman on their wedding day! For anyone with some sensitive family dynamics, she also handled that on our behalf during family photos and I couldn't have been more grateful. She was also very patient - as the evening went on and drinks were flowing, people would be like "can you get this photo for us!" and I'm sure it was a lot to manage, but you'd never know it. I loved (and couldn't believe) how quickly we got previews back. And then ultimately the full set of photos were absolutely stunning. In summary: 11/10 Recommend Copper Collective. Good luck with your wedding planning!

done my research based on familiarity to my venues and really loved the style/edit of the photos that Jessica had described as "true to life". From my first phone call with Jessica to our engagement photos and to our wedding day, she was so comfortable to work with from the get go. My husband absolutely hates taking pictures, but even after our engagement session he raved over how comfortable Jessica made him feel. We've received our first set of wedding previews and am soooo in love with how they came out and cannot wait to receive the rest! Jessica and Ally were a dream team on our wedding day and my family and friends loved them as well.

us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and captured the most perfect moments that we will cherish for the rest of our lives! My husband and I are typically so awkward around the camera but Ally made us look like naturals! Everyone we’ve shared our photos with have said nothing but wonderful things! Not to mention Ally and her team were troopers and braved the rain during our rainy ceremony! Truly and honestly the best photographer I have ever came across.

and gets the best shots. She was very organized, sent us a detailed questionnaire to complete regarding the types of shots we wanted, what was important to us, etc. and scheduled a call with us in advance of the wedding to go over everything in greater detail. Jessica was very professional, arrived on time, knew exactly what types of shots to get, knew the best areas in the venue that made the best photos, and instructed us as to what types of poses to do. She delivered the final photos ahead of schedule and we could not be happier with how the photos turned out. Our family and friends keep raving as to how amazing the photos are. If you are looking for a high quality wedding photographer in San Diego, look no further!

raphed but she is so fun and kind, we ended up having such a wonderful time for our shoot which made us even more excited for the big day. Our engagement shoot photos turned out beautiful. On the big day, Jessica and her assistant thought of every little thing to capture. We have gotten our previews and they are STUNNING!!! Can't wait to see the rest! If you are looking for an amazing photographer, I highly recommend Jessica and her team.

s down, swoon worthy. Vendor to vendor, she’s easy to work with and has great communication.

of photos right after the ceremony so you have something to reminisce on. She is really kind and calming which is helpful when you get nervous taking photos (like me). I would highly recommend Jessica for any big event!

timeline and expectations for family photos, first look, couple shots, etc. We built out a great timeline with her assistance and the day of was smooth and executed flawlessly. She was so sweet and so reassuring and my bridal party adored her. During the reception she was on the dance floor, snapping photos & all over an we loved every moment of it. Sometimes wedding photographers get in the way of guests during the ceremony-not Jessica & her assistant. They were basically invisible and got AMAZING photos!!! If you're debating who to use for your wedding-look no further. Book her now!! We will absolutely use her in the future for any and all photography needs!

the camera, which is usually not easy for me. Jessica and Sarah were so calming and I instantly trusted them and I'm so glad I did! We just got our sneak peek pictures back and OH MY GOSH!! They are the most beautiful photos I have ever seen, and I'm not just saying that because they're my own wedding photos (lol). Jessica and her team were so amazing and sweet and let my {husband} and I just do our own thing, but somehow turned it into straight MAGIC! I am so excited to see the remaining photos. I 12/10 recommend Jessica to anyone and everyone and I would hire her again for every event if I could! Hiring her was without a doubt the best decision I made throughout the wedding planning process. Love you Copper Collective team, thank you for capturing our wedding day in the most beautiful ways!

but the photos are INCREDIBLE. Sara and her team had quick turn around and flawless photos.

ica was also super helpful and quickly responded to a few editing requests I had. The photos turned out amazing and my family and friends are so impressed with the quality of the photos. We received our "preview photos" less than 48 hours after the wedding and i was so thrilled to be able to relive the day. Not only are the photos incredible but the company is very tech savvy and made the process so simple - from securing the contract and paying online to their beautiful photo galleries. I LOVED that I can easily download all my photos in web size or hi-res and share one link to all my family and friends and that they can then download whatever they want free of charge as well! That was always a big pet peeve about other friends' weddings - that access was restricted or you had to pay to download an image - so that was a huge win in booking with France!

eel so at ease for our photos, which turned out amazingly!! Sara and Frances photographed our wedding and they were so great at coaching us and making us feel comfortable in getting the perfect shot. They were also great at getting everyone in line for family and wedding party photos so we could get back to the reception and party! The photos were MORE than I could hope for and we got them back so quickly! Sara even sent us a few preview images the next day :) I would highly recommend working with her and her team!

s always happy, smiling, and patient with us since we weren't the most comfortable in front of the camera. She is always learning new photography skills and it shows in her work. The pictures we've seen so far are beyond what we could have imagined especially with creative lighting and angles. You can trust her and her team that they'll deliver beyond your expectations! Don't forget to ask about their engagement photo album for the guest sign-in book! Everyone loved it.

gave specific direction on one particular photo and she nailed it!!! They are all around the best! Traveled for me, prompt, captured every moment!!!

s for pictures, acoomodated every one of our requests, and made sure everything fit smoothly into our wedding day. We highly recommend them!

not in the way, bossy, and puts up with demading family members with ease. I can sit and chat with her for hours because she is the nicest person, the most professional, and simply the best. Her website makes payments easy (payment plans are easy to manage your budget!) and she is so knowledgable as far as Facebook, DVD creation, color and lighting, etc. She is a showcased vendor for Apple!! YOu can find her on THEIR site! I do not recommend anyone else!
