Such excellent food and service!! So grateful to Karla and her staff for making our wedding dinner reception go so smoothly! The food was absolutely delicious and a hit and her staff on hand were very friendly and accommodating!! The team at cork and more (including Karla) continuously deliver great food, friendly faces and a perfect catering experience. They were able to tweak a few recipes for the logistics of our remote location and provide a great catering experience. The selection of food choices, ability to change recipes, bring in new flavors and be customer focused was perfect.
They partnered with Joseph the BBQ man for our wedding, his meats are simply scrumptious. Joseph is also super hospitable, friendly and familial. He was a hit and complimented from all of our guests.
The food is wholesome and from scratch which makes The Cork and More stand above the rest in quality, taste and freshness. The support setting up and taking down was icing on the cake.
So good and affordable. They let you play using different flavors and I was so grateful to them for squeezing me in last min. They saved the day!
Kim from the cork and more makes beautiful cakes with high quality ingredients. She will also put any cake topper you want on the cake, even if it's something that isn't really meant for a cake. We got a sweet heart cake and 80 cupcakes and she displayed it beautifully.
The only inconvenience with this vendor is that if you want any fondant (sugar paste) flowers you have to buy them yourself online. I spent an extra $60 buying the flowers, and spent a lot of time looking for the perfect ones. But in the end the cake was beautiful and tasted great, so it was all worth it.
First of all, they were very accommodating with cake tasting. They offer many varieties of cake and fillings. They also offer many different styles of cake. We went with a "word cloud" cake and it came out beautifully. It was delicious, and their buttercream frosting is unbelievably good- not too sweet like many frostings. My guests loved it too!
The cake was delicious! at the tasting and at the wedding! we were so impressed. The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because my cake was supposed to be delivered at 2Pm(before ceremony and did not show until 4pm(after cocktail hour). that would be my only complaint. They were otherwise excellent and with the fillings and batters they offer you can make a ton of delicious combinations!
They did an amazing job. I never met with them in person and they nailed it. We got a small cake for us to cut with cupcakes for our guests - lemon with lemon curd and buttercream icing. They were spot on with the colors and design and everybody loved it.
One of the items we'd like to get off our wedding list...with referral from our event coordinator and I checked their website & decided to meet up with them. Amanda helped us originally with the cake tasting. She was helpful and knowledgeable with the cakes. We were pleased with the cake tasting and decided to hire them.
After couple of months, we came back to provide the cake decoration we'd like. Kim was helping us then. She was nice too. We decided to change our wedding cake and they were fine it. They did an awesome job with our wedding cake.
We ordered three tier cake & two sides of cheesecakes. Both were yummy!!

I must start out by saying that the cake was delicious. I was worried about wedding cake being too dry, but my wedding cake from the Cork and More was fantastic.
The staff was also very friendly. We even had an extra tasting for my fiance because he couldn't make the first one.
However, we tasted a cake at the tasting, fell in love with the amaretto butter cream and the hazelnut butter cream frostings. We ordered one layer of chocolate with hazlenut and another later of white cake with amaretto and when the cake arrived, I couldn't taste either. It all tasted the same and was just plain butter cream. That was disappointing. Everything else was great.
Also, cakes in Tahoe are expensive. They know you don't want to bring one from Sacramento. This is the only reason they have a less stars in value.
We adore the Cork & More! They not only made our wedding cake and our wedding planning an absolute breeze, but they continue to be our favorite place for even takeout and gifts. The customer service is wonderful and they all around fantastic people.
The Cork and More came through with every detail beautifully, down to bringing us appetizers while we were taking photos. The food was perfect and the service attentive. All of the guests are still raving about the bacon dates! Yum. I highly recommend them:)
Kim was very easy to work with and she sure knows her stuff. She'll even let you know where to cut costs if you're a budget conscious bride. The cake tasted amazing and looked pretty darn good too.
