Our wedding was pure magic, and so much of that comes down to how spectacular this venue is. From the moment we first toured the property, we knew it was the absolute perfect place for our big day, and it exceeded every single expectation. Saying our vows in the Birdsong Chapel created the most romantic, picturesque backdrop for our ceremony, and transitioning over to the Carriage Hall for the reception set the perfect tone for an unforgettable celebration. Both spaces are stunning, beautifully maintained, and provided incredible photo opportunities at every turn. On top of the gorgeous setting, the team running the venue was exceptional. They were responsive, supportive, and made sure every single detail came together effortlessly. Our guests are still talking about how breathtaking the entire property was. We couldn't be happier with our decision to get married here!

I fell in love with the Birdsong Chapel in photos and knew it would be perfect for our wedding. I was really looking for a little white chapel without it being an actual church. We had so many compliments on the venue, with guests saying they completely understand why we chose it. The reception hall is a bit of an awkward shape, but ended up working well for our 120-person wedding. The patio area made for a great bar/cocktail hour location. This is very much a family operation. Don (owner) is very responsive to any questions, though his communication style can be a bit short. We did have a little trouble with the broader location though, like delivery fees from vendors based in Raleigh and not many hotel options or activities to recommend in Goldsboro. We decided the venue was worth it though!

The Birdsong Chapel features a stunning natural backdrop that is beautifully woven into the white open-walled chapel, allowing you to listen to birds sing as you exchange your vows. This chapel comes equipped with antique pews and glinting chandeliers, creating a serene atmosphere where 200 of your attendees can witness your momentous occasion. After your beautiful ceremony in nature, you and your guests can retreat to the Carriage Hall for a reception of dining and dancing. Boasting 3000ft² of space and 28-foot high ceilings, this bright and spacious area can seat 200 guests in white Chiavari chairs. Attached to this reception area are restrooms, a caterer's kitchen, and an expansive patio perfect for hosting a cocktail hour. The Cornealius Properties also offers The Honeymoon House and The Camp as get-ready rooms for the couple and wedding party. The Cornealius Properties offers rental of their exclusive venue for the ceremony and reception, and overnight stays. In addition, The Family House is a luxurious 4-bedroom home where your family can retire after a wonderful celebration, while The Couples Cottage is available for the newlyweds to unwind and relax after the big day. To help you and your guests travel to Birdsong Chapel, at The Cornealius Properties, Personnel can facilitate a ride by golf cart from the parking lot. Additionally, their 1931 Model A Ford, which was Brooke's Great Grandfathers, is available for a brief chauffeured drive-away after your wedding.

Brooke set out to become a flower farmer in the fall of 2019, just before COVID-19 effected everyone. Brooke had always dreamed of owning her own wedding venue, since she was a young girl. She dreamed of growing the flowers on her farm and using them to decorate for events for her loved ones, to help them properly celebrate life's joyous occasions! After years of trying to convince her mother and father to become her business partners they said "YES", The Cornealius Properties construction began in march of 2021 and has been the talk of the town since. We hope you will tour and say YES too!

Our wedding day at Cornealius Properties was absolutely beautiful, and the venue itself provided a stunning backdrop for our celebration. However, there were several concerns with ...

the management that we feel need to be addressed. While the new additions to the property are impressive, it seems they have taken on more than they can handle, particularly by hiring only family and friends. This has led to significant organizational challenges. We found it difficult to make appointments and keep things on track. We were working with a wonderful staff member, Maegen, who unfortunately quit due to stress. The way Cornealius Properties handled her departure was very disappointing. They called all the brides to persuade us not to use Maegen as our planner, which put us in a very awkward position. Additionally, I provided a detailed spreadsheet with seating arrangements, but on the day of the wedding, this was not followed, and my bridesmaids ended up seated at the back of the room. Towards the end of our planning, I finally got comfortable working with Stacy. However, my last two scheduled calls were with a new staff member who was unprepared and even admitted he had not read my file before our call. Lastly, we experienced issues with payment tracking. The owner often forgot to log payments, and we had to frequently remind them of our appointments to avoid being forgotten. While the venue is beautiful, I would advise future brides to keep meticulous records and double-check all arrangements to ensure a smooth experience. Despite these challenges, the Cornealius Properties played a crucial role in making our wedding day so special and unforgettable. With a bit more organization and some better care to their current staff members, they have the potential to be an outstanding venue for future couples.

always willing to answer questions. The staff were kind enough to provide transportation around the venue for one of our guests who had mobility issues. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect!

g party to get ready. This venue has all of this. The price is acceptable considering this and the venue is just unique and stunning. The family was easy to communicate with and offer vendor suggestions etc. They also have "family houses" available for rent if you have family coming in and wanting a place to stay all together which is just the icing on the cake! We also rented the couples cottage to stay in as bride and groom the night of the wedding which I started to wonder was a good idea or not but having brought some DIY items, it made it easy for us to quickly have the groomsmen walk the items over to that cottage and tuck inside until the next morning when we had our large vehicles to load up in daylight. We just married here and our guests all spoke of how beautiful it was and asked how we found it, showed so much interest in it! Would definitely recommend.

I have debated on writing this review for several months and after recently attending another wedding at a different venue I felt compelled to do so. A year ago when my daughter de...

cided on Cornealius the venue was well maintained and beautiful. Unfortunately on the day of the wedding we were very upset in the appearance of all the houses, chapel and reception area. As entering the reception area the door was filthy, the bar was filthy with chunks of paint missing and several areas that needed to be painted. The bridal suite needs to be repainted and new furniture would help a lot. My main concern was all of the cobwebs and dirty appearance of all exterior buildings. I was embarrassed for guest to see how dirty the outside of the patio was during cocktail hour. I know this is a few years old but after going to a wedding that the venue was much older and saw how immaculate it was I knew I needed to write this review. I would have never had my daughters wedding there if I had known that the maintenance wasn’t a priority. The venue I was at before routinely paints and power washes the exterior on a frequent basis. I honestly feel like this venue has too much going on to maintain this property. Cornealius was such a beautiful venue but the neglect in the property has taken away from that beauty.

spring. I got engaged January 2023 and married in September 2023. They were booked for the rest of the year when I went to see the venue in person in March. I wanted this place so bad Mr.Don approved for a Thursday wedding. He and his staff will give you the best southern hospitality. I am from NY so I was not used to the few days later responses at times but other than that this place is a 10/10.

He is very accommodative and you can tell he really wants the couples to have a good experience!! The most unique (and my favorite) feature of the venue is the multiple houses they have available on the property for bridesmaids and groomsmen to stay in before the wedding, and an adorable honeymoon house for the couple to stay in after the wedding!! This feature definitely sets this venue apart from others and I would definitely recommend!!!
