of the venue. On my big day I could overhear staff complaining about my wedding as they set it up. I felt uncomfortable, I could tell they were not happy to be there. Aside from them, I would highly disapprove of the Coordinator offered by the venue. I had a two year engagement and worked with Jessica over that course of time. Given that she was a day of coordinator, she was not truly involved until the big day as expected. Unfortunately, often times when I did reach out for guidance or assistance she was hard to reach. Every time I did finally receive a response there was excuses that I felt were unprofessional to be sharing. Leading up to the wedding day, the week of my wedding she reached out to me for information for the day that should have been asked more in advance than the week of. She asked me questions such as whether we would have a first dance, what items were being set out and where they would be placed, etc. I have a personal friend who is a coordinator and she agreed that this information was being asked of pretty late. On the wedding day she did what no one should do to a Bride while she is getting ready. Jessica came into our dressing room and confronted me about not having place cards for the tables and presented it as if it was an issue that the staff would have giving out everyone’s meal. I told her that was something I opted to not have and she went behind what I wanted and made place cards for the tables. She also had added a table favor that was not run by me at all. That does not include setting out the ceremony exit favors onto the tables disregarding what their use was for. Another issue she created on the day was deciding to go against what my Mom and I wanted which was to put out the exit cookies earlier than the end of the reception. She decided not to and now we are stuck with a ton of cookies that we paid a higher price for. Second to last of things she forgot was adding my bouquet to our sweetheart table. There was a holder set onto our table and it never made its way to us. During our dinner, we were also promised a personal server and that was also not provided. Amongst all of these things including a few not mentioned, the most disappointing thing that she did was to not fulfill the promise of fluffing my dress before I walked down the aisle. My dress was all bunched up with leaves in it when I got down to the altar. Very disappointing from someone carrying a decent amount of experience as a wedding coordinator. She should not be the face of a venue that is such a hidden gem.

The food was flavorful and filling, and the wine selection was excellent. Our guests are still talking about how much they enjoyed themselves at our wedding months later. I promise that you won't feel like just another bride using their venue. She definitely makes you feel like you're the only couple planning a wedding. She listens to your desires and offers sound suggestions and their referred vendor list is top notch. Now the venue, simply beautiful. From every angle, there is a breathtaking view whether you are indoors or outdoors. The bridal suite is beautiful. We were provided champagne as we got ready. The staff was so professional and in synch. I am totally someone who likes to be in control and with Jessica as the coordinator and her amazing staff, I had nothing to think about or worry about. The staff was extremely efficient and so friendly on the wedding day. All of my decorations were set up beautifully and just as I envisioned. 4. The grounds were kept extremely manicured and clean. Not a hair out of place for our photos. 5. The Cove was flexible with making food and guest number changes right up until a few days before the wedding hassle free!!! 6. Jessica was consistently at our disposal hours before the ceremony as the wedding parties were getting ready and was great about quietly keeping the wedding running on schedule throughout the day. This is just the tip of the iceberg. They really take care of you at The Cove!

The space is beautiful, the staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. They truly had every thing we needed, down to beautiful centerpieces. We have already received our pictures back from the photographer and the place photographs beautiful. We had lake pictures, the grounds are beautiful, the golf course is nearby, it really did lend itself to so many great views. I would 100% recommend Jessica and The Cove!

g the water for some incredible pictures. My husband and I knew we loved the place, even though it was the first one we visited, and it lived up to everything we were hoping for in a venue. But the true gem of the location? JESSICA! She is the most amazing coordinator for any bride to have along her side throughout the wedding planning process and on the day-of. She can literally do it all, and she has an incredible heart-posture of "don't go buy things you don't need to, because I probably have those decorations already here from prior weddings." While some venues try and nickel-and-dime every item, Jessica throws it all in and truly seeks to make this a stress-free process. I cannot say enough about Jessica, and literally I could never recommend another venue simply because she wouldn't be there. Also, the food?! All of our guests raved about it! We are big foodies, and our guests knew that. So expectations were high, and Jessica and her staff more than delivered! So essentially, every element of our wedding that was linked to Jessica and Fawn Lake = top notch and the best value of anything we paid. She actually deserved to be paid much more than she asked :) Thank you Jessica for making our day so incredibly special! You were an absolute joy to work with, and we cannot thank you enough for everything you did to make it all come together :)

When we came to visit The Cove at Fawn Lake Country Club the first time in June, we knew immediately that this beautiful new venue was the perfect place for Stephanie and Tim’s reception. We were impressed with Jessica’s professionalism, calm demeanor, and attention to detail. From the tasting experience to the coordination and planning prior to the big day, Jessica led us through this stressful process with caring, respect, and understanding, while being the consummate professional. Once the big day arrived and we entered the venue, our jaws literally dropped and brought us to happy tears at how perfectly Jessica set up the reception. It was magical! She coordinated the events of the afternoon and evening with precision, leaving us with no worries and just being able to enjoy the special day. Our guests raved at how wonderful the food was as well as the service. They were also in awe of the incredibly beautiful venue and lakeside setting. Our Daughter Stephanie looked forward to this day all her life, and Jessica delivered her dream Wedding reception. As we said, it was simply a perfect day none of us will ever forget, and we are incredibly grateful to Jessica and The Cove at Fawn Lake!

m for over 2 years! Our original plan was to be married in June 2020, throughout the pandemic, Jessica kept in constant contact with us about updates a d supported us along the way. After our decision to postpone to June 2021, the team continued to stay in touch. Jessica and her team and are respectful, responsive and kind. Jessica is always welcoming as she celebrated with us as counts when down and Virginia opened up! She answered every minuscule question and walked us through every step of the way. With Fawn Lake, we never had a worry about our special day. They helped with with everything and took care of the entire day. We never had to fret! Just 20 minutes before our ceremony, it started to drizzle. Jessica offered 3 different back up plans before I could even blink. After a covid postponement, and a rain delay- Jessica and the staff at fawn lake made sure our special day was more amazing than we could ever dream! They stood by as it only rained for 17 minutes and switched from outdoors to in doors and back to outdoors without hesitation. We were truly blessed to find Fawn Lake! We are honestly sad that we don’t have an excuse to work with them anymore. They listen to every request, follow every direction and give amazing support and suggestions. Our guests are still raving about the organization and the food at our wedding!

She heard both me and my husband out and calmed our nerves to make sure things turned out well. The venue itself is beautiful. I booked the cove before it was complete in renovations and I had a feeling it would be beautiful as it is now (and I was right!) The scenery outside is impecable. Wedding pictures turned out AMAZING! The bridal suite is super spacious!! My husband and I are more than happy to have worked with the cove! We loved everything!!

edibly wonderful, we found ourselves asking why it wasn’t our first choice to begin with. The venue and grounds are simply stunning. Everything is kept in absolute top shape and meticulously cared for. The ballroom is simple and classic in the best way. It is full of windows and light and is the farthest thing from a stuffy, hotel ballroom. The landscaping surrounding the outdoor ceremony location overlooking the water is so lush and full of color that even with the grey skies, our photos came back looking like we got married somewhere tropical. Due to the ongoing pandemic, we decided to keep our ceremony small, intimate and socially distanced. The staff at The Cove went above and beyond to make sure we all felt safe and cared for. The seating for dinner and the ceremony was exactly as we asked for to encouraging social distancing. We also appreciated how upfront they were about their own health and cleaning standards from the beginning. We decided to share our ceremony with the rest of our family and friends with the help of Zoom and we had no issues connecting to The Cove’s internet. Their staff was more than accommodating in helping to make sure everything was setup and functioning. Everything went off without a hitch! Now for the best part – oh my goodness the food! Our guests are still raving about dinner and many have told us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. I can’t say enough good things about the catering staff at The Cove. Truly, we didn’t hear a single bad thing from our guests. Finally, our wedding day was as lovely and wonderful as it was because of the level of customer service provided by Jessica and her staff at The Cove. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel like royalty and to make sure your guests are taken care of. This was a level of care that we didn’t realize we were sorely missing at our previous venue until we came to The Cove. With so much emphasis on having Pinterest perfect photos, this was a factor I wasn’t prioritizing. It was serendipitous that we ended up at The Cove because it honestly was the missing piece. Jessica’s pride for her job really shows in her attention to detail and desire to make sure your day is absolutely perfect. I can’t say enough good things about this place and I highly recommend them for any wedding or function!

The groom and groomsman were excited to have their own space to get ready as many venues have no special area for the men! Jessica Hewlett and her team were outstanding to work with from day 1 until the last beer was served at the end of the night. She was responsive to all questions/concerns throughout the process, provided great insights and was an absolutely wonderful day of coordinator! The food was phenomenal at the tasting and was exactly the same for dinner yet on a larger scale. We cannot stop talking about how great everything went! First and foremost, she worked with us on pricing. With the current climate of being in a world pandemic and working with a next-to-nothing budget, our ceremony far exceeded our expectations, all thanks to Jessica and her team! The Fawn Lake Country Club is nestled beautifully, overlooking the serene lake that can guarantee a perfect photo op! Jessica set up beautiful chairs on the lawn outside of the Harbor Club and the reception took place in their brand new upscale restaurant, The Cove. Jessica also put us in touch with a local florist who designed our venue that undoubtedly elevated the elegance of our ceremony and reception! Overall, we cannot stress just how magnificent Jessica and her team were! She promised us nothing short of a perfect small wedding ceremony that was planned in just a few days. We HIGHLY recommend the Fawn Lake Country Club!

We wanted to celebrate my husband's Albanian heritage and Jessica helped us incorporate wedding traditions from Albania into our reception.

n a wonderful location in a gated community. The lake views surrounded by mature trees, birds, and landscaping create breathtaking wedding photos. The reception area has a great layout with a dance floor and table/chairs that can be revised to your liking. All the exterior doors open up to a great veranda, lake views, and the well decorated garden, which is well suited for a cocktail hour. My spouse and I both got great vibes at this venue and knew this was the spot for us. The food was amazing too! Our friends and family raved about it. To our surprise the best part about having the wedding reception at Fawn Lake was the opportunity to work with our coordinator, Heather. She was very professional, personable, patient with our numerous questions, had great ideas, and was the rock during our planning. We were told when we booked the venue that they would be expanding and would possibly be under construction during our reception. We loved the venue so much we took the chance and then began the stressful waiting game. Heather was so comforting and supportive. Thankfully the construction was delayed until after our reception but we were well informed the entire time thanks to Heather. I felt Heather put in the time and attention as if she was planning her own wedding reception. Thanks to her we had the wedding of our dreams and everything went wonderfully. We can't thank her enough for making our wedding day so special.

I can’t say enough about the venue – it has a lake backdrop and is absolutely breathtaking and was complimented highly by all of our guests. We were blessed that the weather cooperated with us and we were able to utilize the beautifully groomed tiered lawn for an outdoor ceremony lined with mason jars and flowers, petals on the walkway and a gorgeous arch with flowers. The cocktail hour was held on the upper lawn and outdoor verandah with outdoor games for the guests to enjoy and a “LOVE” sign for guest to take pictures alongside. The reception was held indoors and we utilized the existing tables and comfortable chairs that provided the intimate and elegant setting that we had envisioned. All of the food, from the appetizers (try the BBQ sliders with Nappa Slaw) to the main course (parmesan chicken and blackened salmon) was delicious and plentiful. Thanks so much Heather and the Fawn Lake team, for making the entire day the dream come true that we were wishing for. I plan to see you again when the twins are ready to get married. Alongside the excellent service, the venue itself is beautiful. Right on the edge of a lake, everyone of our guests complimented the view and couldn’t believe we managed to find such a great location! Additionally, our guests LOVED the food and many mentioned they’ve never had better food at a wedding than ours. It was great to hear how much others loved Fawn Lake as much as we did. All places we looked at were out of budget and the ones which were in budget, were not that nice. Fawn Lake Country Club was one of the last venues I scheduled and I'm so glad I did. They communicated perfectly during the entire process, promptly emailing me back and answering every question I had. Heather even let me borrow items she used in her wedding at no extra cost! The day of, my girls and I arrived very early and the staff took care of us all morning, catering to every single need we had. Everyone was amazing and I had literally no stress all day! I did pay for a "day of coordinator," Elisabeth, who was my sole point of contact all day. Let me tell you, she was worth every penny! The wedding went off without a single hitch, they ensured our day went perfect to plan. They provided a personal waiter, Carlos, who was accommodating and so friendly. I couldn't turn around without Carlos offering me a drink or an appetizer. Speaking of the food, we chose the parmesean crusted chicken and prime rib, which were both fantastic! My guests were blown away by the food! When our schedule moved up because of the weather being cold, Elisabeth scrambled to ensure everything moved up without incident and did it all with a smile on her face. Every single person at our wedding commented to me on how wonderful Elisabeth, Heather and the rest of the staff was during our event. My sister even told me she was jealous she didn't hire them for her wedding! I hope, for those of you brides looking to marry in Virginia, that you consider booking with Elisabeth at Fawn Lake Country Club. This review does not do them justice, they were amazing!!!

The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly as my sister wanted down to the tiniest details. Now, let me tell you about the food. I love my sister dearly, but she is the pickiest eater I know and for over a month she had been talking about how amazing the food is. So, of course, I was looking forward to trying what she described as “the best chicken in the world”. I was not disappointed. Usually, when someone brags about the food, the reality doesn’t really live up to the hype. That is definitely not the case at Fawn Lake. I had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and I could not stop eating it. I even ate most of my fiancé’s food as well. My only complaint is that I wish I could have had a plate or two of it to take home for the next day. I love this venue and I am looking forward to planning my wedding there very soon.

Our photos were amazing!! Elisabeth was our wedding coordinator and she was so helpful during the planning stages and could not have done a better job on our wedding day! She made sure that every detail (and there were a lot of details) was perfect and just how we had discussed them. The staff was professional, courteous and did a great job serving our guests.. I literally cannot think of a single thing that I would change. I would highly recommend this venue!

The wedding planer Elisabeth was awesome, she already had a plan B in motion! The storm passed, my wedding went on as planned and it was absolutely beautiful! From the set up of the outdoor ceremony to the table settings; each detail of the event was great! If you are looking for a venue with a wonderful staff ( and wedding planner) that works for you, you must see this place, you will not be disappointed!

We did the dining room which was perfect for the size of our wedding, about 80. As much I love loved the location, the people are really what set this venue apart. Christina and Elisabeth are the best. Elisabeth is the wedding Coordinator and is such a pleasure to work with. She helped us with so many details leading up to the day and made sure everything went as planned. Christina is the Club Manger and the Head Chief and was so amazing. She customized our reception menu, appetizers, and dessert to go with our theme and budget. She even added special touches to the décor and food (so yummy). Both are a lot of fun to work with and they take care of everything. You get the feeling that they care about your day and have your best interests at heart. I could not be happier about our choice of venue, I have received so many compliments from our guests and the wedding was everything we hoped for.
