The CQ Princess—an impressive 96-foot yacht—makes its home on the banks of the Ohio River at Captain’s Quarters Riverside Grille. It can accommodate up to 110 guests for a seated lunch or dinner reception or up to 125 for a standing cocktail reception. This beautiful yacht comes complete with a full-service bar, a dance floor on the Admiral’s Deck, three restrooms, satellite TV and radio.
Extra lounge seating near the dance floor makes an excellent place for guests to relax as they spend time out from dancing. Celebrations are made extra-special on the water as couples and guests take in the gorgeous views of the river and eat delicious food catered by Captain’s Quarters Riverside Grille.
The restaurant also has several lovely spaces couples may want to include in their festivities should they choose to have a “landlubber” and river cruise combination. These areas include the following:
- The Creek Deck: seats up to 150 guests
- The Lodge: seats up to 120 guests
- The River Deck: seats up to 100 guests; open-air tented deck with beautiful sunsets
- The Veranda: seats up to 80 guests; views of Harrods Creek and the river
- The Stone Room: seats up to 30 guests; original 1800s fireplace and thick stone walls
What You Should Know
Guests will be bragging about the food at your wedding long after the reception with menu choices from Captain’s Quarters Riverside Grille. Whether selecting a white-glove multi-course dinner or a lively buffet, couples will like the options offered. Seated dinners include such mouth-watering fare as Grilled Mahi Mahi, Fontina Chicken and Grilled Salmon with a Sweet Chili Glaze. Buffets include many options as well, including “The Kentuckian” which comes with an out-of-this-world dessert—Derby Pie with mint whipped cream.
Cruises on the CQ Princess are scheduled for a three-hour minimum block of time. This includes 30 minutes each for boarding and disembarking. Couples planning a ceremony in downtown Louisville can still enjoy receptions aboard the CQ Princess since cruises leave from both Captain’s Quarters Riverside Grille and the downtown Louisville Wharf.
