Partial Wedding Planning, clients book some of the basic vendors and services, we oversee the larger items - decor, vision, venue planning but in the end we manage and coordinate all of the details for the wedding to the Wedding Day!

Stephanie and Creative Planners were absolutely incredible to work with. She took what can be a stressful process that can even overshadow the wedding itself and made it smooth and enjoyable. The final event was everything we hoped for - truly stunning - but almost as importantly, the planning journey itself was seamless.
Stephanie knew exactly which vendors to recommend, sparing us the stress of second-guessing our choices and spending countless hours reading reviews. Every vendor—from flowers to food—was outstanding, and that's thanks to her strong Chicagoland network. Throughout it all, she remained calm, professional, and always available to share ideas or address concerns, not only for us but also for our parents.
We also loved Stephanie interpersonally. Planning a wedding means spending countless hours thinking about one day, so it’s important to do it with someone you trust and genuinely like. For us, Stephanie made that entire period special. It was the best weekend of our lives, and a really terrific summer leading up to it. My husband and I enlisted The Creative Planners to assist with our wedding. From day one, they made us feel taken care of and brought a peace to the wedding planning process. I truly have no words to describe how fantastic Stephanie and Alexa are. My husband and I just got married this June at the University Club of Chicago and it far exceeded our expectations and our guests. If I could only give one recommendation for the rest of my life, it would be to work with them! The wedding planning process can be very daunting especially at the onset of an engagement and Alexa and Stephanie from day one made a huge effort to get to know us and understand our vision. For the first half of our engagement, we were still living in NYC and Alexa and Stephanie could not have been more accommodating. They have THE best vendor relationships and that can really make or break the event. They are incredibly prompt, communicative and exceptionally creative and innovative. Alexa has impressive attention to detail and is fantastic at her craft. Something I had never thought about until going through this process, was just how much time you spend with your planner. By the time we had our wedding, The Creative Planners felt like family and Matt and I feel so fortunate to have worked with them. Thank you for everything!!

She was in constant communication with all of our vendors, she always made us feel like we were her top priority, and she ultimately created the wedding of our dreams! Hiring stephanie as our wedding planner was easily one of the best decisions we made!! Having a destination wedding was hard, but she so effortlessly helped everything come together perfectly. I worked with Holli and Stephanie and have no regrets at all. I would recommend them to anyone! From the moment I met both of them, they did everything right to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. My wife and I married recently at Chicago Botanic Garden. We feel very fortunate to have have had Holli Volkert’s services overlook the planning which she beautifully streamlined for a wonderful experience, to unfold. The transitions between the seating & ceremony, cocktail hour, & reception were seamless. Her arrangements, attentiveness, & abilities in being flexible as requests arose, permitted such a beautiful wedding to have unraveled for our friends and family to have had an opportunity to rejoice in celebration and ceremony.

Our wedding venue was a conundrum for logistics. Stephanie was able to find venders who would work with what we gave them all with out an issue. She knows many, many venders to suggest but is also very open to using others that we requested. My daughter, who had some pretty crazy requests is over the moon happy with how her special day went. I interviewed a few planners initially and after meeting Stephanie I knew the Creative Planners were the answer for our Wedding. She was so honest, positive and professional. She provided vendor recommendations and helped answer questions throughout our long year + of planning. Alexa stepped in as our lead planner to help pull off our wedding plans and everything fell into place. Her positive energy and experience put my mom and I at ease and really allowed for us to enjoy the planning process. Our wedding day went off literally without any blips and we were both able to completely disengage and be guests at our party. I cannot recommend the Creative Planners more - they were absolutely the secret ingredient to an AMAZING wedding. We will miss Alexa sincerely, and wish we had more time together. Stephanie and her team did an outstanding job planning my daughter’s wedding. They were experienced and easy to work with. They steered us through 4 postponements (due to Covid), giving us sound advice each step of the way. The team helped us procure excellent vendors. When we were finally able to hold our big celebration a few weeks ago, we were very pleased with the results. It was an amazing event. The Creative Planners took the stress out of the wedding day by handling all the “day of” details, so my husband and I as well as the my daughter and son-in-law could relax and enjoy the festivities. Would absolutely recommend Stephanie. Stephanie is a no-drama pro. She listened and understood exactly what we were looking for, she has good taste, and she executed the logistics well. We also enjoyed working with her on a personality level too. We were on a pretty compressed schedule, and she pulled everything off perfectly.
There were multiple people who told us it was one of the best weddings they'd ever been to. It was a backyard wedding and the next day, one neighbor called to say that it seemed magical, and the other neighbor admitted to watching through the bushes and dancing.

Having to postpone from 2020 to 2021 was really hard but they truly helped me make sense of it all and keep everyone on track. Stephanie is truly the most incredible event planner. She is amazing because she has impeccable taste and understands and plans for every detail. In addition, she is a calming presence and truly goes above and beyond for her clients. I don't know how she does it, she made me feel like I was her only wedding all year! One little example of Stephanie's ability to truly manage it all was her preparedness in the midst of all the Covid related changes to our wedding. Our head table had to be separated into three tables due to Covid restrictions; however, because Stephanie thinks of everything she ordered one long linen, in addition to the three, just in case the restrictions lifted in time for our event. Sure enough a day before our wedding the city lifted the table number restrictions and she was completely prepared with the extra linen. She made wedding planning so easy and I was so relaxed and happy on my day knowing I had her. On top of all this she is one of the kindest, most genuine people who truly loves what she does. I could not recommend her more highly!
Due to Covid we were on to plan “C” which required planning a backyard wedding in 4 months. Stephanie made it feel seamless and was a pleasure to work with. She was efficient with our time and did an amazing job of bringing in a great selection of vendors. As soon as we shared our vision with her she knew exactly which vendors could make it happen.. Not only was pre-planning a breeze with Stephanie but the day of she did an amazing job of anticipating our needs and eliminating potential problems. The best part of working with Stephanie is that she made the planning process stress free!
With our daughters wedding postponed twice due to the pandemic, and with the decision to change the venue from Napa to our home in the Chicago area this May, we needed an event planner who would see our vision and make it happen! This is what Stephanie at Creative planners did beautifully, created a wedding that was everything our daughter dreamt of.
She is able to get the best out of her vendors and seeing how well liked and respected she is by them is testament to what a good planner she is.

Oh my goodness, Stephanie was wonderful! My daughter and new son-in-law had been engaged for almost a year--what started out originally as a church ceremony and a big Chicago Botanic Garden reception morphed into something much smaller as we negotiated our way through the murky, ever changing restrictions and cancellations during this crazy 2020 year of Covid in Illinois! Stephanie was our rock. Her calm demeanor and ability to be nimble and creative guided us through the process, helping us to manage our heartbreak and disappointment as our guest numbers (and venue options) had to be greatly reduced. She suggested alternatives and ideas that got us all excited again. We ended up having the reception for a smallish group in a beautifully decorated tent in our backyard, and now we can't imagine anything that could have been more ideal for our daughter's wedding.
Stephanie definitely has good relationships with all of the vendors we worked with-- they all think so highly of her, and she anticipated and handled everything with a calm confidence, no doubt from her years of experience. I didn't worry about one thing during the wedding weekend. It was perfect. We will definitely call her again when our youngest daughter is planning HER wedding someday!
Planning a wedding during COVID-19 was a real challenge but having Stephanie on our team made everything so much easier. She went above and beyond to help us navigate these difficult times and our wedding turned out to be as we've pictured it. From the beginning to end, The Creative Planners, specifically Stephanie Cook, owner, was an incredibly well organized and creative resource for our daughter's wedding. Those organizational talents were invaluable in that the bride and groom were in two different cities and the parents of each were in another two cities. Furthermore. It was a destination wedding in the mountains in the middle of January! Stephanie was a powerful negotiator with the vendors and had terrific ideas that made the weekend memorable and intimate. Both the reception venue, which hosts over 75 weddings a year, and the rehearsal dinner venue mgmt, pulled us aside to comment that she was one of the best wedding planners they had worked with. Our wedding weekend started on a Thursday and ended on a Sunday - and she was there every step of the way. Five stars!
Stephanie is the BEST. Obviously we loved working with her. She completely understood our vision and executed it perfectly. She planned a multi-day destination wedding in Vail, Colorado. She was opinionated at the rights times when we needed guidance or a gentle push, and she was sensitive and patience when we needed that, too. Striking that balance is hard, and Stephanie does it masterfully. I oscillated between being neurotic and absent, and Stephanie easily adapted to my style and always made me feel like my wedding was the most important one she was planning (even though she clearly has many others...)
But we've only done this once so don't take our word for it. Take the words of all our other vendors who actually operate in this space and work with dozens of wedding planners all the time. You could literally hear the relief in their voice when they talked about working with her -- how she is a true professional, how she makes their lives easier because she actually knows what she is doing, and how she runs a tight ship while still having the warmth that you want during such a personal process. One vendor actually privately thanked me for hiring her because she was so good at what she does.
We highly recommend Stephanie – she was integral to our wedding planning process! We loved how she wanted to understand our wedding vision and then helped to bring it to life. She had great recommendations and connections with top-notch vendors, and truly was our go-to person for guidance when any issues popped up.
