To start off, the process of visiting and booking the venue was seamless. Natalie, the Banquet Manager, was easy to work with and very accommodating with any of our requests. She was also very prompt with her communication.
Although we brought lots of help in our setup, Natalie was great with any help we needed.
Tami and Robyn were our event coordinators and both did a fantastic job before, during, and after the event.
The two bartenders were great as well. Very personable and friendly.
The wait staff were friendly and professional.
The food was very good as well. We heard many complements on the steak and chicken dishes.
I highly recommend using The Crown Room for any event you are hosting.

Through the years, I’ve worked in many roles, but my favorite part has always been connecting with people and helping them create memories they’ll never forget. I’m also a proud mom of three, and I bring that same care and attention to every event I plan. I truly love what I do and feel so grateful to be part of such a special place.

Picking a reception venue was one of the biggest decisions that jump-started the rest of wedding planning and we’re so happy we landed at The Crown Room! It was perfect for us. We ...
loved the beautiful wood ceilings and the space is ideal for a good party. We loved that the location of the dance floor was both near the entrance and the bar—it ensured that the dance floor was central and busy all night long while still being accessible for onlooking guests. We also still had room to have a long harvest-style table for the bridal party. The location was ideal — a close drive from our ceremony location, convenient to guests that lived anywhere within the twin cities, and adjacent to two different hotels (it was SO nice that we didn’t have to coordinate hotel shuttles.) We worked with Natalie and she was incredibly responsive and flexible; something that most wedding venues are becoming less and less of. Because there was not an event the Thursday or Friday before our Saturday wedding, myself and my mom & sisters actually got to be involved in the setup of our space—this was such a huge relief and not having to carefully write out steps and make intricate setup directions and table boxes was a huge time saver. As an independent & particular bride, I was so thankful that I asked and was able to help setup and see everything come together as I envisioned. We even DIY’d our own flower centerpieces at The Crown Room and stored them in their walk-in fridge overnight—avoiding transportation hassle. Take down was as easy as set up. The Crown Room staff took care of all of the take down/material gathering at the end of the night and then we didn’t need to physically move items until the Monday after the wedding. Not having to stress about cleanup at the end of the night or the following morning was so nice. Natalie was very accommodating and reassuring throughout the planning process — going the extra mile to make sure we had Fresca (a family favorite soda) available and was communicative about alcohol consumption levels before and during the event. The price point of The Crown Room was such a great value and allows weddings with large guest counts to still be feasible in today’s crazy wedding world.

It was absolutely worth it to have it here - they set up all of our decor and we didn't have to stress about getting it done or cleaned up after the event. I had enough things to worry about already - it was so nice to stop in the day before and check out the space already set up and beautiful.
Also, this space includes the lobby/foyer area and so many of our guests enjoyed being able to get away from the music to just sit and chat. It was especially nice as our wedding was big and guests didn't have to be squished into one space all night.

The day-of staff were so friendly and high energy, they made sure the bridal party got some of the appetizers before the grand entrance, and just helped the whole evening run so smoothly. We had so many guests tell us what amazing staff members they had there. We also had a fantastic time using 3 beautiful spaces. A cafe, main room, and outdoor space offered people different areas to hang out and mingle with family members. great to work with and their communication was flawless through the many emails back and forth while setting up the wedding plans. The staff at the Crown Room set everything up, so we didn't have to stress on the wedding day and they also packed everything up so we could enjoy our wedding day until the very end. The chicken, brisket, and steak were amazing and had great flavors! We were checked on pretty frequently to make sure we had everything we needed and I couldn't have asked for a better place to host our wedding reception. I'd highly recommend using the Crown Room for your wedding or other events in the future!

UGE shout out to the kids who were stuck cleaning up our dance floor multiple times throughout the night over our split drinks. They could have been so annoyed and upset, but instead they can out and danced while they cleaned! It was an absolute ball and my guests definitely wanted them to stay (they had some pretty sweet moves!).
My biggest feedback is if you host a bar, make sure you talk to the staff in TOTAL spend (taxes and fees included) otherwise the 22% service charge could definitely ruin your night.
Again, we love love LOVED our wedding night! Thank you so so much to the Crown Room team! <3

My wife and I were very fortunate to have worked with Gina before her last day and the transition to the new Event planners Cindy and Kate. Everything from food tastings and vendor selections were available for us to see in person before choosing. Everything they assisted us with really made our day extra special. We were really amazed by how our day came together and a large portion of it was due to the service and support from the Crown Room.

. The communication during planning was phenomenal and very organized. It truly made a difference when you are making all these decisions regarding the big day. The taste testing/open house was fun and well put together. Gina, the event coordinator, truly seems to care so much about her couples. I would highly recommend having your wedding here.
The kicker: Covid got in the way with our wedding reception at The Crown Room. I am extremely bummed that I don't get to celebrate our marriage in this gorgeous facility, but am so very grateful they were able to work with me and be very flexible during these unsure and trying times.

he Crown Room because Gina impressed me with her organization, the fact that the staff took care of all of the decorating for us and all of it fit into what we had budgeted. Then we got to do the food and dessert tastings and we were even more excited. When COVID hit, we rescheduled our early April wedding to the end of July and Gina was outstanding making sure all the details got transferred and worked with me as I got all 6 of our other vendors switched over. We talked weekly in May and June as she helped us work through re-planning. Ultimately we decided to get married vs. postponing our wedding again from the July date, so we did not get to experience the awesome Crown Room for our reception and I was so disappointed. However, Gina continued to work with us as we to figure out details for our smaller wedding and even sent a message on our wedding day letting us know they were thinking of us. I wish we could have had our reception at The Crown Room and I would recommend them to anyone who asks, over and over.

Although my wife Ali and I were affected by the Coronavirus in our wedding process and ultimately decided to cancel our event, Gina and the Crown Room were there to support us in our decision and assisted with the process of contacting vendors and were flawless in the refunds. Gina and The Crown Room really stand by their clients and respect their opinions and decisions. This is a breathe of fresh air compared to the transactional nature you tend to deal with, with other companies.

his venue was the perfect setting for a warm and cozy atmosphere and they partner with the best of the best vendors. It was the perfect size for our 130 guest count and our guests described the atmosphere as beautiful, gorgeous, and enchanted. We rented uplighting and edison bulbs from a preferred vendor and the Crown Room provided an amazing fireplace focal with fairy birch lighted trees. I also appreciated that this venue allowed us to release Sky Lanterns and Sparklers, features that many venues would normally not allow. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars was not being able to have Gina or Jen on site with me the day of the wedding and having to work with staff I hadn't met prior to the wedding day. As with all weddings there were a few small hiccups throughout the day that could have easily been prevented had I been able to work directly with the day of manager. Other than that, you're in good hands here and have a team that wants to give you an amazing day!

e sure the process leading up to, and our wedding ran smoothly. The staff was great as well. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and spacious, and the food was amazing.
Comments we received from our guests: the venue was beautiful, having the additional spaces in the lobby and outside were nice for people who didn't want to be right by the music, and the food was great.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The Crown Room was the perfect venue, and I would highly recommend them for weddings and events.

l to God that we were able to have our wedding reception there. Gina and Jen did amazing job with every aspect of the planning process. They were extremely responsive at getting back to all our million questions. The food was amazing and served in a timely manner. The decorations were setup better the we could of dreamed and looked amazing! We have had many guests tell us how beautiful our wedding was and how special and welcomed they felt having the crown room employees there to greet them and open doors for them. I am absolutely amazed by the customer service by the servers, event supervisor, and of course Jen & Gina! Thank you for making our wedding stress free and enjoyable.

They have an eye for things and made the room absolutely beautiful with the extra decor we gave them! The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful throughout the night! Unexpected things came up and they were able to take action right away to help make the night go smoothly. The food was absolutely AMAZING as well! I cannot praise the staff of The Crown Room enough for how amazing they are and how they helped make our wedding night perfect! I received a lot of compliments from our guests about the venue, food, and staff! I highly recommend The Crown Room to anyone!

The staffs were very polite and respectful. Gina was there the night of my wedding to ensure the operations ran smoothly. They were very responsive to our wedding coordinators. The staffs checked on the Bride and Groom periodically to ensure things are running correct.
The Crown Room made my reception awesome! I would recommend the Crown Room!

spect of the planning process. They were extremely responsive and I never waited a full day to hear back from them with any questions, changes or concerns. They insured trust and kept their promise. We had our wedding reception and grooms dinner there. The food was amazing and served in a timely manner. The decorations were setup exactly as we requested and looked amazing! We have had numerous guests go out of their way to tell us how beautiful our wedding was and how special and welcomed they felt having the crown room employees there to open the doors and welcome them into the venue. I am absolutely amazed by the customer service by the servers, bartenders, event supervisor, and of course Jen & Gina! Thank you for making our wedding a day to remember for us and all of our guests!

I still hear from guests weeks later that it was some of the best wedding food they have ever had!! The venue is beautiful in pictures, but it's even more beautiful in person. We saved money by not needing to buy many decorations because the place was beautiful without adding much else. I would strongly recommend The Crown Room to anyone who wants their planning process and special day to be low on stress, beautiful, and a blast.

We could never speak highly enough about both Jen and Gina! The two of them were so helpful in every single aspect and guided us through a large portion of our planning. They truly cared about us and it showed with every interaction we had. There is no way our wedding would have turned out as well as it did without their help. We are so thankful for the Crown Room and its Staff. They truly made it a perfect day for us! This venue is without a doubt worth every penny (it's also very affordable by the way!) and you should absolutely get in touch with them about hosting your wedding!
