3 stylists provided services for wedding day for 8 girls. They were late arriving and we had to constantly tell them to speed things up as hair and makeupnwere taking way longer than expected. Alexia did an amazing job with makeup and hair, except the bride never received hair spray and her hair was falling out. The other two stylists were mediocre and the one for makeup took so long, Alexia had to step in just so that we could make out pictures on time. Overall, nice ladies but just wish it wasn't stressful on my wedding day.
I am very grateful to the Cut Off for doing hair and makeup for my wedding! My original stylist unfortunately had to cancel 2 months before my wedding for covid-related reasons. Despite my wedding being on a popular holiday weekend, the Cut Off managed to fit me and my bridesmaids in! Alexa did my hair and makeup and my trial; I showed her a photo of a hairstyle that was a little complicated and she replicated it perfectly! She really listened and gave me exactly what I wanted for hair and makeup. Shea did hair for my bridesmaids and they looked absolutely gorgeous. Alexa and Shea were a joy to work with and we're so happy we went with the Cut Off!
The salon was extremely accommodating. I had planned a last minute wedding for the day after thanksgiving (when they were closed) and they found a stylist that was willing to come in. Amelia was so nice and we loved our hair and make up!
All of the ladies did a wonderful job. I wasn't sure what I was looking for, but she did a great job asking the right questions and I was very impressed with my hair as well as the hair of my wedding party! Very reasonably priced as well!
I had a wonderful experience with the Cut Off Salon for my wedding hair and makeup. Nancy was always fast to respond and booking them was painless and easy. I had Caitlyn do both my hair and makeup and she did a phenomenal job giving me exactly what I was looking for at both my trial and on my wedding day. I brought her photos of two up-dos I liked and she was able to combine aspects of each into one hairstyle that worked for my hair type. She was always cheerful and pleasant and really listened to what I wanted and changed things I didn't like. On the day of my wedding I asked her to change a detail of my up-do last minute and she happily did so, and the result was stunning. The Cut Off was one of the more affordable options I looked at for hair and makeup and I am so pleased I went with them!
Cut Off Salon was a great choice for my wedding! Nancy, the wedding coordinator was prompt and professional. She was really good about giving me an expected timeline for the day-of. The stylist were also really good about sticking to that timeline so that we had no delays and were able to get to the venue with time to spare before the ceremony. We also got married on a Sunday so the salon was opened up just for us which made it really intimate and fun.
Tanya was my stylist and she did both my trial and wedding day hair. She was amazing! She not only was a great stylist but also really supportive and friendly and made the whole experience a really good one. She was able to basically replicate an inspiration photo that i brought in.
All of my bridesmaids' hair and makeup looked bomb too! If you're getting married in Jackson or anywhere nearby this is definitely the place to book!
I worked with the wedding coordinator Nancy to book the salon for my wedding. She was able to work with me to get the times I needed based off the size of group I had. I was booked with Caitlyn who I went to for a hair trail prior. I traveled 2 hours to make sure the salon would be accommodating and perfect for my wedding. My trial went great, she took her time and listened to what I wanted. I left still questioning one part but she took plenty of pictures to review. The day of the wedding we figured out what I didn’t like from the trial and she NAILED my hair. She also did my make up which was simple yet stunning and exactly what I wanted! My entire bridal party had hair and makeup done and everyone was very happy and looked beautiful! Thank you!
Had my consultation with Tanya three months before my wedding. Wasn’t thrilled when I left, and neither was my fiancé or my mom. My hair was flat and the braids were horrible. Makeup was okay but was a bit too much. I thought it’d be okay for the wedding day because I ended up finding a much simpler half-up braided style. Boy was I wrong. It took her two hours of braiding, unbraiding, and rebraiding before I was on the verge of tears and another stylist stepped in. I still didn’t get the style I wanted but was okay with the end result. The wedding coordinator at the salon was great, but I’m still not sure why brides are booked with a stylist who doesn’t know what she is doing. My maid of honor had Caitlyn, her hair looked gorgeous and she was the one that ended up doing the majority of my styling that day. Spent a total of three hours in the salon that morning and left with a hairstyle I didn’t really want and makeup that was half done. I did my own foundation, lip color, and mascara back at my hotel because she was running so late in my appointment. The salon is very nice, but do not let them book you with Tanya for your wedding!
I went to the cut off with my two bridesmaids and my mother-in-law for our wedding hair. Michele did my hair and she really did a beautiful job! She took lots of pics after my trial so she could recreate the look on my wedding day, but was also very open to suggestion as far as making tweaks on the day of. She was also a pleasure to work with--very funny and nice! Britany did my friend's hair and she looked so beautiful, you can tell they are both real pros. My other friend and MIL looked great too but I don't know who did their hair. It costs around $75 for an updo, which at first I thought was a lot, but after you realize that it takes about an hour and a half to do and uses an entire box of bobby pins and a can of hairspray, it's actually a great deal! I highly recommend them for your wedding hair!! Oh yeah, and my hair looked great from 10 am until I took it down at midnight :)
I went for a consultation and thank god! I told the stylist (with pictures) I did not want typical wedding hair.. she made me look worse than Curly Sue! I didn’t even want curls. When I told her I didn’t like it she became agree with me. It was horrible. I was also getting my makeup done there so I continued with the makeup and she gave me gray eyebrows. My mom told her they looked gray and she said it was the color they always use. My whole wedding party and parents were going to have their hair/ makeup done there the following month but we canceled. It was the worst makeup/ hair and honestly I felt the place to be dirty. A workers swept up hair and went to dump in one of the many trash cans, my mom’s bag happened to be next to the one she chose. She missed the trash, all the hair landed in my mother’s bag. It was unbelievable.
