The Cutting Edge

My complaint is in regards to my attempt to acquire affordable on-site hair styling for my November 2015 wedding. I had first contacted The Cutting Edge Salon to inquire about on-site styling back on July 27, 2015. I explained to them where our wedding venue was and that I was looking for stylists to come to us to take care of our hair and makeup for myself, my seven bridesmaids, and some additional family members. About 12 people total needing styled. The manager Betsy, whom I have been dealing with from the start, suggested I come in for a trial run. On August 5, 2015, myself and my mother went into the salon for our trial run. We both had our trial for makeup and I had my hair trial as well. During that appointment we had discussed the fact that they would be traveling to our hotel to provide hair services for by bridal party and I was VERY clear of that fact. When I questioned what each individual would need to pay per style, Betsy herself, told us that each individual would be looking at a cost between $45-$80 depending on their style choice. This seemed a little high to us but we decided to go ahead and contract them because they were willing to travel to us. I signed the contract that day and paid her a $50 deposit for my event. Jump forward to October 23, 2015, I emailed Betsy to confirm our schedule. At that time she tells me that each guest will be charged a flat rate of $125 per person being styled. I was quoted $45-$80 and not $125. She proceeded to deny that she ever quoted me pricing. We would have NEVER signed the contract if she had given me the price they are attempting to charge us. I am angry at the fact that they intentionally misled me into collecting more money from me back on August 5th. I had paid them $170 for mine and my mothers trial run, then paid an additional $50 for the deposit. I also had to go back to the salon because Betsy needed more practice on my chosen style because she was unable to figure out my style choice, even after I provided her with a multitude of pictures as well as a YouTube tutorial. STAY AWAY!!! Their customer service is awful and their talent is worse!

I go to The Cutting Edge for a regular cut and highlights. They have To-Go services as well as being able to have your whole bridal party come in to the salon. The group of ladies that work here are AWESOME! They work so well together. I always see Natalie, she's the only one I trust with my hair! And I knew for my wedding I didn't want to go anywhere else! This salon offers airbrush make-up for that flawless look! I couldn't be more happy with how my hair and make-up turned out for my wedding. My bridesmaids looked great too! I would highly recommend this salon! Super sweet staff!
