The Cypress House is a Federal style home constructed in 1835. Our property resides on 24 acres along the bank of the Susquehanna River.
The estate features a stone barn dating back to 1817 and meticulously kept colonial gardens bursting with boxwood, magnolias, and garden roses. We specialize in open-air garden side weddings under the stars and twinkly lights. Tent options are available.

e staff is incredible to work with! They help with everything - from the florals, to table scapes, signage design, recommendations for caters/photographers/makeup and hair artists and so much more. They will do anything to make your vision come to life and are. such a kind group of people to work with.
When working with The Cypress House you are working with 3 different departments making it so much easier for wedding day! They handle all of the venue information/coordination, all of the florals, and all of the design aspects. Everything is in one place!

and the cocktail hour space by the pool is absolutely stunning. Everything about this place, including the reception tent and its artificial turf, is perfect. There was plenty of space in the house for the bridal party to get their hair and makeup done and I liked that the guys had a separate building so they didn’t see us getting ready. Our coordinator, Caitlyn, was great to work with and was a tremendous help, especially on the wedding day. She set up my own décor, assisted with unloading and loading everything, got us drinks during cocktail hour, and did almost everything so we could enjoy the day! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and I can’t imagine getting married anywhere else!
We worked with Cypress Floral for our flowers. I don’t know a lot about flowers and color choices so I was appreciative of her help and recommendations. She gave several options to choose from and made adjustments multiple times to make sure everything was perfect. When I walked into the reception tent it brought me to tears seeing how beautiful everything was! Our bouquets, the hanging greenery, and floral arrangements for all the tables were stunning! I wish I could have taken every single arrangement home and I will never be able to thank Chelsea enough for how beautiful and perfect everything turned out!
We also worked with Cypress Design to create most of our wedding signs and couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out! Alexa gave recommendations on colors and designs, which was really helpful, and all of our signs and décor were high quality and far exceeded our expectations! Not having to create my own signs and using her rentals took a lot of work and stress off of me during the planning process. I cannot thank the Cypress team enough for how perfect our wedding day was!!

more gorgeous than the photos. We hosted our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at the venue. I cannot tell how many times throughout our wedding day my husband and I were asked "how did you find this place?!" Not only is the venue stunning but the staff is nothing short of exceptional. The three sisters who run this venue take tremendous pride in this place and it shows. They were all easy to work with and were so accommodating of my busy schedule while planning my wedding. Courtney made coordinating all aspects of the venue easy and provided an excellent list of vendors which were AMAZING. Alexa added the most gorgeous designs and rentals that enhanced our day and made it feel like us. Chelsea provided some of the most stunning florals ever and transformed our ceremony flowers into a gorgeous sweetheart table. The staff that helped us on the day was also amazing and we laughed at many points because they are so organized and on top of things we felt like we had the secret service keeping our wedding day running smoothly! Finally our day of coordinator Chloe was so easy to work with and immediately felt like a friend helping us make the day run perfectly.
I would book the Cypress House 1000 times over and I am so happy that I chose to have my wedding at this venue. I cannot thank the Cypress House and their team enough for the amazing day they provided us.

We had the absolute best day ever and the property is so gorgeous, all of our guests were amazed by the beauty of it and how beautiful it is in the photographs as well! The bridal suite is great to get ready in and the guys had a blast in the groom's suite. The tent is so pretty with the twinkle lights and I love the uniqueness of the property and how stunning it is!

grounds, the Cypress House is an incredibly stunning venue. You can tell how much love is put into maintaining this space, and it truly makes it a magical place. The entire Cypress House team made planning, coordinating and our day of extremely easy. really could not have done it without our day of coordinator Caitlyn! She is a gem and we are super appreciative of her hard work and dedication. The Cypress House is one of the most beautiful venues I’ve ever seen and hardly needs any extra decorations- the family keeps the property in excellent condition especially all of the plants and trees! All of our guests raved about it and we had the best time. Also, the Cypress House recommends vendors to help with planning, which made that an easy collaborative process even for us from the west coast.

cancelled any other venue tours I had. After our initial walk through, we didn’t even make it 5 miles down the road before I called Courtney to tell her we wanted to book!!
The vision that The Cypress House, specifically, Courtney and Chelsea have is incredible, but what made me love them even more was their attention to detail. They put so much thought into every single inch of the property, and every second of our wedding day, to make sure everything went off seamlessly.
They had incredible communication, great vendor recommendations, and even came through with some of my crazy requests such as, “Can you send me some pictures of the cocktail hour space around 6pm, so I can judge where the shadows will be?” They truly were so invested in making sure my day was perfect.
Some of our favorite features (to name a few) include: two separate locations on the property for the bridal party to get ready (the videographer and photographer also were big fans of this), the gorgeous, unique cocktail hour space (which included hanging lights and fountains in the pool), the artificial turf under the tent and the travertine tile dance floor (I wasn’t kidding when I said they thought of every detail), the cross back chairs, no shortage of backdrops for photo opportunities, and the landscaping/floral arrangements that added so much beauty to an already stunning property…I seriously could go on forever. However, with all that being said, getting to meet the beautiful family behind the operation was one of our favorite parts! I can’t say enough amazing things about each and every one of them…you would have no idea that they are “new” to the wedding game with how knowledgeable and professional they all are. I’m so happy we will forever have a connection to them! I wish we could do it all again!!!
