The Dan Rafferty Band was simply amazing! From the moment I first met Derek, his energy and enthusiasm was contagious! I heard them perform once at a friends wedding and always said when I get married, I am hiring them! We had a pretty large wedding at Cherry Creek Golf Course (also HIGHLY recommend) with close to 500 people! So you can imagine my stress level haha, I had pages of notes for the band and excel spreadsheets breaking down songs by genres (I'm a marketing director, I can't help it lol) - I called and met with Derek numerous times and he was always so gracious, patient and accommodating every time. The jazz band during cocktail hour was superb and so many guests still rave about them. Once the Dan Rafferty band came on during the reception, I didn't get off the dance floor for 4 hours!!! Derek was a fantastic MC and all of the band members were dancing all night and interacting with the guests. They learned and played our wedding song by Brett Young and it made our first dance feel like a fairy-tale. If you want a classy, energetic and all around AMAZING band, look no further. They made our wedding MAGICAL!

Our guests are still RAVING about the band! We booked First Call (the other band in E3 detroit/dan rafferty band. They KILLED it! Erin & the guys were fantastic! It was a little chilly for our outdoor dancing but they kept everyone moving and every single guests told us that they were the best band they had seen at a wedding. I cannot sayt enough great things about First Call- they made our wedding such a great time!!!

BEYOND AMAZING! I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH! Derrik met with us and talked to us about what we wanted, went above and beyond when he mixed together a song for my dad and I, made the entire evening run so smoothly, got the entire guest list involved and on the dance floor, he even had the groom and I up on stage! We had so much fun with him and know you will too! The DRB is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! You won't regret it. :)

Dan Rafftery Band was absolutely amazing!!! Derek and his band were the biggest reason why everyone keeps telling us our wedding was the most fun they have ever had! Derek was an amazing MC and the band kept everyone on the dance floor having fun the entire time. We even had a slow motion booth at our wedding and multiple people told me they didn't get a chance to do it because they were having so much fun on the dance floor! They were professional, catering to all our preferences (even having my dad play the drums for a song) and just amazing to work with! I already have had people reaching out asking me who they were to book them and I would highly recommend them to anyone else!! :)

I cannot - I repeat cannot - recommend the Dan Rafferty Band highly enough for weddings or any event. We have been seeing these guys for years at events in Metro Detroit and when the time came to pick our wedding vendors - there was not another option for entertainment than the DRB. They were the first call we made. Our guests have been telling us for months how much fun it was and "that band was the best we have ever seen". We had even heard the same thing from our friends who also had live entertainment at their weddings. If your goal is to have your guests smiling, laughing and dancing all night, these guys and gals are the ones for the job. Derek is a great MC and kept everyone engaged through the entrances, intros, toasts, dances, and reception. They learned songs for us, created a customized Grand Intro and played our requests all night long. They promised that when they were done, you would know that the party was awesome - and they delivered. They are great people and have our full support. We can't wait to see them again at another wedding next summer!

If you want to guarantee that your wedding is a non-stop party with a packed dance floor, then this is the band for you. From the moment we first met Derek we felt like he was invested in making sure that our wedding was exactly what we wanted. We always knew that there was a risk in having an outdoor reception, even under a tent. When the day arrived, it looked like our nightmare weather forecast was going to come to fruition. Derek never wavered. He guaranteed us that everything would be fine, and, of course, it surpassed all of our expectations. He rolled with an improvised schedule, ignored a few periodic downpours, kept the night moving smoothly, and the band turned in an absolutely incredible performance that our guests are still talking about. Not only does the DRB play modern hits that everyone wants to party to, the talent and quality of all the band members is on full display from start to finish. Derek's DJ sets during band breaks pack the heat as well. Derek and the rest of the band, we can't thank you enough for everything. Your energy and passion for what you do made our day so special. We will always be grateful.

The Dan Rafferty band had our guests on the dance floor all night long! This was 5th family wedding to use this band. All the cousins make room in their budget for this band and they are worth every penny! Book very early or you won't be able to get them.

I don't have a single bad thing to say about the Dan Rafferty Band! We couldn't be more thankful to them for making our reception so much fun. The staff was fantastic to work with leading up to our wedding day. We felt instantly at ease with Derek and he ensured that the whole evening progressed smoothly. Everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating, which made our planning from out of state significantly easier. They had fantastic energy and talent and the dance floor was packed until 1:00 a.m! All of our guests commented on how spectacular the band was (and a month later people are still singing their praises!) and I sincerely think the reception would not have been nearly as fun without the Dan Rafferty Band. Don't think twice about booking this band, you couldn't choose a lovelier, friendlier, more talented and professional group.

Our Wedding was a few weeks ago and people are still talking about how awesome our band was! The MC was so fun and professional. He really got people excited and knew what he was doing! I have not been to any other wedding where I felt the MC/Band were that accustomed to their surrounding and on top of everything, along with being so much fun! I can't even put into words how amazing they were! They also did our ceremony music which was so perfect! The main singer, her voice was amazing! We did not have a problem with not having people on the dance floor because how much fun they were to watch and listen! Really we could not have asked for more! The Dan Rafferty Band is the best!

I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to the Dan Rafferty Band and all of their support crew for their amazing performance at our wedding! I could not imagine the night without them. They were simply incredible! The jazz trio sounded wonderful and lent to a relaxed and festive atmosphere during the cocktail hour. We knew that we were in good hands with the DJ and Derek as the MC. Derek guided the evening along effortlessly and with so much spirit. We were able to totally relax and enjoy every moment of the reception! As far as the band goes, well......where and how do I begin to review them? This is one of the most fantastically gifted group of musicians/singers you will ever find put together. They made the night, hands down! All of our guests were blown away by how awesome they were and people are still talking about them weeks after. The energy in the room was electric and nobody wanted them to stop! We are so thankful that we decided to hire the Dan Rafferty Band. That was easily one of the best decisions that we made during the wedding planning process! Everyone was such a joy to work with (including staff), from beginning to end. The band was even willing to learn new songs just for the occasion! They helped to guarantee that this most special and magical night would be a truly unforgettable one. For that we thank them and we will always be grateful fans!

The Dan Rafferty Band is awesome! If you're looking for a band to make your reception fun, this is it. They're pricey, but they're definitely worth it and my husband and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the music and the MC. Derrick is great to work with and really makes sure the night runs smoothly and that everyone has a great time. Booking this band was one of our smartest wedding choices.

When I say that this band is hands down the best wedding band ever, I am seriously not lying. DRB helped us give our guests the time of their lives! We were so sad when the night was over because no one wanted DRB to stop playing. They are amazing and Derek is absolutely WONDERFUL! When we didn't know what songs to play, he gave us so many ideas and helped us decide our entrance song and he even did a mock run through of how the entrance song would go down. Amazing band, amazing people, and amazing experience. Best decision we ever made!

We hired The Dan Rafferty Band for our wedding in August 2011 and it was one of the best wedding-related decisions we made. We first saw the band at my cousin's wedding the year prior and considered booking them but were discouraged by the price, so we hired a DJ. After much thought we decided that we had had SO much fun at our cousin's wedding because of the band that we HAD to book them (sorry DJ...). The DRB did an EXCELLENT JOB with everything. The music was great - everything we wanted and more. So many guests told us how much fun they had at our wedding because of the music. They play every kind of music, from Motown to current, popular music (Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, etc). We hope to attend another wedding with the DRB soon so we can hear them play again!

The DRB was everything we wanted and more! Our guests are STILL raving about the band almost 3 months later!!! They really got the party started and keep it going all the way until the end. The wide variety of music that they play, and play well, is unbelievable. Every member of the band is an outstanding musician as well. We even had a few of them play at our ceremony and couldn't have been more pleased (and from two people with a music background, as well as several guests in the audience with music backgrounds I think that says a lot). All of the band members are also very personable and dedicated to making your event the best. It was obvious from the very beginning that they knew what they were doing and that we didn't have to worry about a thing. They also went out of their way to add that personal touch and really got involved in the party. Their energy is infectious! If you are considering a band for a wedding, special event, or other party and you want people to dance the night away than DRB is the band you want.

The Dan Rafferty Band was wonderful. The band had our guests dancing all night long. The band was professional, very easy to work with and FUN! We used them twice this year! We have another daughter getting married next year and looking forward to another fantastic experience. Thanks so much for making our weddings so special and memorable.
