House - Barn - Gardens
The House is a picturesque Victorian country home owned by Judi Dana Powers, whose great-grandfather built the home in 1882. Judi has spent a lifetime curating its’ decor to reflect both her Early Californian and French heritage. From the sunny tranquil library to the fairytale 3rd story tower balcony the Dana Powers House is truly magical.
The expansive English-style Gardens surrounding the house are the perfect setting for ceremonies, receptions, cocktails, and rehearsal dinners. While your guests will enjoy sauntering through secret gardens, the Rose Gardens, and the expansive lawns you will find endless backdrops and vignettes for both candid and formal photographs.
The Barn, built in the late 1800s, has been transformed into a magical and romantic venue with vintage lighting, antique furniture, and gorgeous, high-raftered architecture. Dana Powers made our wedding day, so seamless and beautiful! We cannot thank them enough for everything they did, and would highly recommend them!
In short this venue is the most amazing versatile location we visited while planning. Judi, the owner is so sweet and accommodating and it was such a pleasure to work with her.
We live in the Bay Area and had driven down to spend the weekend looking at venues. Dana Powers House was our last visit. Pulling into the driveway we knew this location was the one. My fiancé (now husband) works in the wedding industry and couldn't believe how amazing the venue was. Having been to over 300 venues it takes a lot to get him interested. But the possibilities Dana Powers House has to offer and all the character the property has got him really excited. The plentiful areas you have to choose from to take photos/video are endless and put this venue head and shoulders above the rest.
We used the whole property to have a cottage garden style ceremony and a rustic-chic barn reception.
Judi also runs a vintage rentals business so the opportunities to create a truly custom pintrest perfect wedding are endless.
If you're looking to get married in the central coast make sure you visit DPH as you won't be disappointed.
We got married at the Dana Powers Barn in June of 2018, and the day could not have been more perfect - it surpassed our dreams and expectations and truly was the best day of our lives!! A lot of that had to do with the beautiful venue space offered by the Dana Powers Barn. We opted to get married alongside the barn instead of the gardens at the house, but we were still allowed to take a lot of our pre-wedding pictures in the gardens at the house, which made for some spectacularly beautiful shoots! Judi and her team were so accommodating to our needs - after an initial miscommunication about the number of tables needed for our reception, the DP team quickly jumped into action to remedy the situation and accommodate what we were needing! The place is already so beautifully adorned that we didn't have to worry about adding a lot of extra touches, which was wonderful for us! It's a perfect combination of both rustic and chic, and perfectly matched the characters of both my husband and me, and also played into the simple elegant vibe we were hoping to achieve with our day! The price was also VERY fair considering all of what is included and the beauty of the space you are getting. We didn't have to coordinate with extra rental companies, and our DJ already had everything he needed to plug into! All of our caterer's requests and needs were met as well, which made for such a seamless day. Judi Powers cares for both her venue and her clients, and I think that played directly into the success and awesomeness of our wedding day. We could not be more thankful!!!
I enjoyed having my wedding here. It was a little out of our price range but we got a good venue for what we paid.
