The Dapper Gents were absolutely fantastic and helped make our wedding day unforgettable. We loved how many options they had for various combinations of live and DJ'd music so we ...
could find the perfect combination for us. They provided beautiful live music for our ceremony and cocktail hour, creating the perfect atmosphere for each part of the day. We have had so many compliments about how amazing they played during the cocktail hour! They then seamlessly transitioned into DJ services for the reception and kept the dance floor packed all night long. The team was professional, talented, and easy to work with throughout the planning process. We received so many compliments from our guests about the music, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. We highly recommend The Dapper Gents to any couple looking for exceptional wedding entertainment.
We couldn’t be happier with The Dapper Gents for our wedding! From the very beginning, their professionalism was evident, and they truly went above and beyond to make our special d...
ay unforgettable.
During the cocktail hour, the band played a beautiful selection of music that perfectly set the tone—elegant yet playful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests. It was the ideal backdrop as everyone mingled on the lawn of the 1812 Farm (Bristol, ME) and chatted and celebrated.
For the ceremony, they learned the specific songs we requested. The song, played on the cello, was so beautiful.
Once it was time to dance, the DJ from The Dapper Gents expertly curated a playlist (that we got to have a voice in the selection) that got everyone on the floor and kept the energy high all night long.
The talent and dedication of The Dapper Gents made our wedding truly special. We’re so grateful for their amazing work. If you’re looking for a fun and professional group to elevate your event, look no further than The Dapper Gents!
My fiancé and I got married at a barn venue in Dayton, Maine on 5/18 and had the Dapper Gents for our ceremony, reception and cocktail hour. We saw them in Portland and loved them ...
right away. They were timely and responsive leading up to the wedding and carefully considered our requests. They also set up a sound system and music stand for my grandma who officiated. Their ceremony acoustic music was beautiful and the cocktail hour music was wonderful in the background. They were able to dj some special requests for first dance/ parent dances then had all our guests dancing for the reception. They really struck a balance between playing our favorites and going with what the crowd was loving- we had guests from 5 to 75 dancing all night! We cannot recommend the Gents enough, they made our reception so fun and memorable.

Jacob McCurdy and the rest of the Dapper Gents were spectacular at our wedding. The processional was an unforgettable rendition of a song we'd heard many times before, and both the...
live music and DJing throughout the evening were excellent. From Oasis to Ben E. King, every song was just perfect. They're a true treasure, and we would hire them again in a heartbeat. They made the night so special and memorable for us, and we can't thank them enough.

perfect atmosphere and everyone raved about them!!
Their communication before the event was great, and everything went super smoothly.
I can't recommend them enough!!
The Dapper Gents were literally the BEST BAND EVER. We just got married in a barn and they were the perfect perfect vibe. They played sing-a-long songs, dance songs, classics, hits...
, and everything in between. The dance floor was never empty and we had many people come up to us and tell us they were the best wedding band they've ever heard. It played like a concert with applause for each song, it was so so enjoyable. They also played our cocktail hour and ceremony and it was beautiful and perfect. If anyone is considering a band for a Maine wedding, they should 100% use the Dapper Gents for a memorable, unique wedding. You won't regret it.
So glad The Dapper Gents played at our wedding! We had an acoustic duo for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Jake was super responsive via email, and everything, from planning to day...
-of set up and execution, was very smooth. Highly recommend!
We were thrilled to have Jake and the Dapper Gents perform at our wedding this July up in Wiscasset, Maine. Despite needing to push our wedding out a year as a result of the pandem...
ic, Jake remained flexible, reachable and a joy to connect with as we went about re-planning our big event. We ended up having Jake and Danny as a string duet for the ceremony and cocktail hour, both of which they nailed! They even perfectly learned a handful of songs for the day, including an unreal cover of 'Rihanna - We Found Love'. After dinner we pivoted to having Jake DJ for the dancing. We had a pretty good feel for the specific jams our guests wanted to party to and Jake was truly accommodating as we worked through playlists and do-not-plays. He even made sure my 3-year-old niece got to hear and perform to her favorite song "Bubble Butt" surrounded by our laughing guests before she retired for the evening. All in all it was a perfect day and a huge part of that was thanks to the super-talented Dapper Gents. We absolutely recommend!

ned the John Mayer version of Beyonce’s “XO” for our first dance (and even sent a recording in advance so we could practice) - we absolutely loved it. Jacob then became the DJ for our reception and the dance floor was never empty. They were super and easy to work with, we would absolutely recommend the Dapper Gents!
The Dapper Gents were amazing at our wedding! Our dance floor was completely overwhelmed from the first song to the last. 'Zombie' blew peoples minds. They handled music and sound ...
at the ceremony too, and the wedding doesn't count if there's no cello, you know (Maine law). Jake was a pro and handled the evolving schedule of our wedding night with grace. An unforgettable night that I personally remember much less than half of.
Thank you!

My husband and I hired The Dapper Gents to play our extended cocktail hour at RiRa Irish Pub and Restaurant for our wedding. They were AWESOME. We rushed through our pictures so we...
could catch some of their music at the reception because we were so looking forward to it, what a great vibe they have! Honestly, what else could you ask for as a guest to a Portland Maine wedding, than The Dapper Gents local music, local raw bar and local beers-- we were happy to show our guests this awesome part of Portland! Jacob was easy, flexible and so accommodating, he went above and beyond for us and they are so talented. My husband and I look forward to catching a live show of theirs this winter at a Portland bar. Their set list was a list of our favorite artists and songs. Thanks so much guys! Cheers!
Sadly, the review by Chelsea M is askew. The Gents play a whole amazing range (Chris Stapleton, James Bay, jazz standards, Stevie Wonder, current pop) and add great vocals and show...
-stopping cello, you’ll have a killer wedding reception. These guys have loads of music experience: masters in music, anyone? Undergrad in jazz? And they’re incredibly fun & extremely professional. When music is your full time job, like it is for these four, professionalism is a non-negotiatable. And getting people to relax, enjoy and have fun is paramount.
Music preference is just that: preference. If you’re a fan of country music or are a metal-head & that’s what you expect(ed)—like the previous reviewer—don’t blame the band. That’s on you, babe.
My wife and I hired the Dapper Gents to play our wedding in Searsport, ME. They were well worth the money. Our guests loved the band and danced to every song. They kept the night l...
