The Darcy

We could not have been happier with our experience at The Darcy. The hotel was the perfect setting for our intimate Roaring Twenties and Art Deco-inspired wedding, and the entire team did an amazing job from beginning to end. Nelsy, our event coordinator, was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, competent, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. We always felt that we were in capable hands, and her experience and attention to detail gave us a great deal of confidence leading up to the wedding. We held our entire wedding celebration at The Darcy, including the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, welcome drinks, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and post-wedding brunch. Despite having so many different events taking place across the hotel, everything felt seamless. The various teams were well coordinated and completely in sync, which made the entire weekend feel effortless from our perspective. The hotel staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and that everything was taken care of. We never felt like we had to worry about the logistics, which allowed us to simply enjoy the weekend with our family and friends. Many of our guests also stayed at The Darcy and had an excellent experience. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and well appointed, and we received many positive comments from our guests about both the accommodations and the service. The Darcy truly exceeded our expectations. It was an elegant, welcoming, and exceptionally well-run venue for our wedding weekend, and we are extremely grateful to Nelsy and the entire team for helping make it such a memorable experience. We would highly recommend The Darcy to any couple looking for a sophisticated and intimate wedding venue in Washington, DC.

Where to begin with Mia and The Darcy staff. Our wedding weekend went off without a hitch, and having our reception at the Darcy Hotel was the best decision we could have made. Being DC locals, we wanted something elegant, yet timeless in our city for 50 people. The Ellington and Bader Ginsburg rooms made that vision come to life. Mia was responsive to each and every email, accommodating us for walk throughs and tastings. When we checked in for the wedding weekend, the entire hotel staff was attentive, especially the valet and door men (thank you Desu!) and made the execution of the weekend flawless. All of our guests were more than pleased with their stay, and many raved about the hors d'oeuvres and entrees at our reception (the sea bass was out of this world!) If you need any events in the Washington, DC area, Mia Thoreson and The Darcy should be at the top of your list. We look forward to coming back on our one year anniversary!
