As the mother of the bride, planning an event from across the country, I have to say that the Deer Mountain Inn exceeded every expectation we had for our daughter's wedding. Our pl...
anner, Charlotte, was invaluable as a resource for vendors, and her patience and expertise were exceptional. The setting on the mountain top was exquisite, the staff was welcoming and professional, and the food was "the best wedding food, ever" according to all of our guests. Staying in the Deer Mountain Inn was an added delight, with perfectly appointed rooms and a generous, delicious breakfast each morning. The attic space was a perfect setting for the after party. Everything went smoothly, and we are so happy we made the decision to have the wedding at the Deer Mountain Inn. No regrets, ten out of ten stars (sorry they only gave me five to work with.)
Deer Mountain Inn was the perfect wedding venue for our daughter and her (now) husband! When we first visited Deer Mountain Inn back in October 2024 we went to just check out the v...
enue not knowing what to expect and it was the first venue we visited. We instantly fell in love with DMI! The Inn is cozy and welcoming and the employees so kind and hardworking. The rooms are also well appointed and comfortable. We loved admiring the artwork as well. Our daughter and her fiancé knew this was the spot they wanted for their wedding!
We were thrilled that the date they wanted was available and we booked it in January 2025.
We worked closely with Maureen and Charlotte and they were diligent about sending spreadsheets over to Emily (our daughter) and scheduling monthly calls starting from the very beginning. They kept us on track and helped with all of the vendors and also made suggestions if needed.
It was so helpful in the planning process and since we live about five hours from Tannersville we relied on Charlotte to help and guide us through the process.
We did visit about three additional times during the planning process and we were always treated with a smile and any questions or concerns were addressed. We often commented how the planning process was fun, exciting and left us all at ease.
When we visited for the menu tasting we were blown away. The food was excellent and notes were taken after each course to make sure they were to our liking. The custom cocktails were tailored to Emily and Elliott's liking and once again notes taken.
As the wedding weekend approached, we knew we were in excellent hands! Charlotte set up a group text message and made sure whatever we asked was answered quickly. We were also given a detailed timeline for all of those involved in the wedding...
The wedding day went beyond smoothly! It was a picture perfect day! The grounds looked beautiful, everyone was busy working around the Inn making sure everything looked perfect and so many smiles from all of us and the staff!
We all shuttled up the mountain for the ceremony which is so spectacular! Our guests, many who had never been to the Catskills, were blown away! We then proceeded down the mountain to the cocktail hour...greeted by Alex and others with signature cocktails and wine! Our guests raved about the seafood bar and the passed hors d'oeuvres! We then made our way to the beautiful tent and enjoyed the most delicious meal! Our family and friends are still raving about the food almost two months later! One guest said "I feel like I just had dinner at a five star restaurant!" The Jane's sundae was an excellent way to end the evening!
I could go on and on about how special Deer Mountain Inn is...it was a magical, perfect day! The youngsters finished the evening in the attic for an after party and said "this is the best after party ever!"
I can't thank Charlotte, Alex, Logan, Maureen and Chef Corwin Kave as well as all of the employees! We feel like we are part of the Deer Mountain Inn family. They worked so hard and smiles and laughs were plentiful all weekend long! As we look over the pictures that we recently received from the photographer, we have nothing but wonderful memories and we are so happy we chose Deer Mountain Inn!
There is nothing like a wedding at the Deer Mountain Inn. The food, the service, the setting, everything was incredible. DMI is such a picturesque and unique place, and every part ...
of the day feels like its own special experience, while flowing together seamlessly. The guest experience is truly unmatched, and we had so many friends tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Beyond the wedding day itself, the team at the DMI is an absolute dream to work with. Charlotte (their in-house planner) is incredible, thoughtful, calm, organized, and so good at what she does. The team has the logistics down to a science, and as a bride, I woke up that morning knowing everything was in the best hands and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. It was so incredibly special to get married at Deer Mountain Inn, and we feel so lucky that this is the place we’ll always get to look back on as where we started our marriage. Thank you, Charlotte and the entire DMI team, for giving us the wedding of our dreams.
We truly could not have asked for a better place to get married than Deer Mountain Inn. The setting is extraordinarily beautiful, but what really sets DMI apart is the quality of t...
he people and the work. Every member of their team—and every vendor we found through them—was so completely at the top of their game that, on our wedding day, we were actually able to relax, be present, and enjoy the party with the people we love. That is an incredible gift to give a couple on their wedding day.
The execution from beginning to end was impeccable. The team handled every detail and adapted gracefully to every little change along the way, while still making the entire weekend feel personal and completely like *us*. Nothing felt cookie-cutter or overly produced; it was beautiful and elevated while still feeling warm, intimate, and joyful.
The food at DMI is extraordinary! Choosing our menu was genuinely difficult because everything was so delicious. Countless guests have since told us it was, without a doubt, the best food they have ever had at a wedding. I actually ate my entire dinner as a bride because there was no way I was missing it!
If you care deeply about beautiful surroundings, incredible food, thoughtful hospitality, and having people you can completely trust to execute your wedding at the highest level, DMI is an incredibly special place. We got to spend our wedding actually celebrating with our family and friends rather than worrying about what was happening behind the scenes. Our weekend felt exquisitely done but still deeply personal, which was exactly what we had hoped for.
We are so grateful to the entire Deer Mountain Inn team for giving us such a joyful, memorable wedding and for taking such wonderful care of us and everyone we love.

all said that it was the best food that they had ever had at a wedding. We got married there in mid/late October and the foliage on the mountain top was perfect. It was everything I could have ever hoped for and more. We couldn't recommend DMI more highly!

Maureen and Charlotte were an absolute dream to work with. They handled everything so smoothly and I had complete trust in their team. They were so helpful during the whole wedding planning process that when it came to the day of there was no stress at all.
The food at DMI is absolutely incredible too.
Highly recommend for wedding venue if you are up for a cozy, intimate feeling venue but it does require a lot of logistical planning. Rental costs are high and transportation if you have a lot of guests.
It’s worth it though!

We were honored that multiple guests told us that "it was the best wedding they'd ever attended." The actual wedding was a dream! They recommended only the best vendors who really all went above and beyond for our weekend.

Our wedding day itself exceeded all expectations - the venue could have zero extra decor, flowers, etc. and still be perfect with the views and how perfectly decorated/landscaped it is inside and out. The food was insanely good and the service was unmatched. With Charlotte’s help day of, I didn’t worry about a thing. She was a calming presence, so attentive throughout, and made the day run so efficiently. Countless guests have already said it’s the best wedding they’ve ever been to - Deer Mountain Inn and the staff working there are 100% to thank for that. It was perfect in every way. I cannot recommend enough and could go on for days. Deer Mountain Inn is a special place and we are so lucky to have gotten the chance to have our wedding there.
Deer Mountain Inn, along with its planning team and staff, are nothing short of wonderful. Maureen and Charlotte are absolute pros and planned my wedding with compassion, care, and...
calm. The interiors, grounds, views, F&B program, and staff were all absolutely fantastic. This property has cultivated a brand of hospitality that is exceptionally hard to find and was carried over to my wedding. Chris, Devon, and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to surprise and delight my guests and my family. My guests are still talking about individual bites of food, the spectacular views, and moments throughout the day that made my wedding so special. Friends who got married at a similar venue nearby said, "We wish we had done this instead." If DMI aligns with your wedding vision and budget, do not hesitate to book.
It cannot possibly get better than a wedding at Deer Mountain Inn.

nation location that will wow guests.
Every person we worked with at Deer Mountain was incredibly competent, professional, kind, and someone we genuinely wanted to be friends with. Our guests were literally taking photos with staff friends they had made by the end of the night.
Our planner Charlotte could not have done a better job during the planning process and day of. We had full confidence in her vendor recommendations based on our vision, and the execution of the wedding day was flawless. She made us feel comfortable, prepared, and accommodated every request we had.
I cannot emphasize enough how happy we are with our experience at Deer Mountain Inn. They made our day so perfect, and we will be forever thankful to them.

ce and the best wedding weekend. Their expertise, attention to detail, and recommendations helped us make our ideal wedding a reality.
We didn’t have a clue about how to plan and wedding and Maureen helped guide us through every step of the planning process (in only 6 months, too!). Maureen and the team handled everything with ease, including last minute changes to our timeline due to weather. Our guest were so impressed by the kindness, attentiveness, and expertise of everyone at Deer Mountain Inn and have been raving about the whole wedding weekend experience, which has been so meaningful to us. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere; everything at Deer Mountain Inn is perfectly curated for the best dining, lodging, and partying experience. We cannot recommend Deer Mountain Inn and their entire team for your wedding or event enough!
Deer Mountain Inn was the PERFECT setting for our celebration. Thank you to Maureen, DMI’s event director, who went above and beyond helping us shape our vision for a cozy and cura...
ted dinner party, and to her and the team at the inn bringing it to life. The service is exceptional and the team’s organization, thoughtful touches, and above all phenomenal FOOD had guests coming up to my husband and I as early as 15 minutes into the cocktail hour saying “best wedding ever!” There is a lot of love that goes into every detail at the inn and you can feel that in the events held there. From start to finish, working with them was a breeze and a dream. We feel so lucky to be a DMI couple. :) thank you!!
What newlyweds don't want to receive texts and calls from their wedding guests (not including immediate family) weeks after their special day continuing to speak about how much fun...
they had and exclaiming a range of rave reviews from, "That was the most amazing and beautiful wedding we have ever been to!" to "The most epic wedding ever!"?
Every couple dreams of the perfect backdrop for their special day. They hope that the venue and everybody involved will provide the canvas that upon which they can both convey the love they have for each other as well as provide lasting memories for all those that they have chosen to share and celebrate their wedding day with.
Only how many couples truly understand and find the right people - until it is too late -- that will provide the level of detail, attention, empathy, and collaboration it takes to make sure your shared vision does become a reality when that day arrives?
Deer Mountain Inn, coordinators Maureen & Nick, and by extension, the entire staff and vendors that were part of our fall wedding did exactly that when they provided the most surreal and magical day and experience from which to start our shared lives together.
At every step in the process Deer Mountain Inn reinforced the notion that we made the right choice and were working with people that cared as much (perhaps even more) as we did about how our wedding day turned out.
From beginning to end, including, but not just limited to selecting, arranging and coordinating the efforts of multiple vendors - to tending to any unexpected 'day of' fire drills that are inevitable, we never worried one moment how it would all come together.
In our most humblest opinion, if you and your soon to be significant other are considering a fall wedding in the Catskill Mountains - or at any time during the year - there is no substitute for the ambience, accomodations, natural beauty, and options Deer Mountain Inn provides.

ators Maureen and Nick, were incredibly attentive and responsive. During the 10 months of wedding planning process, they were available for any questions or concerns we had day or night, making the planning process seamless and stress-free.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning, providing the perfect backdrop for our special day- bonus that we had incredible foliage the entire weekend and pure sun!!! Many of our guests are already talking about returning on their own to enjoy the beauty of the location with their significant others and families.
The food was another highlight—simply delicious (which is unlike any wedding I have ever attended) Every dish was beautifully presented and received rave reviews from our guests. The drinks were equally impressive, crafted to perfection and enjoyed by everyone throughout the evening. The bartenders at Deer Mountain Inn really know what they're doing- the Mrs. signature drink was a delicious spicy prickly pear margarita and the Mr. signature drink was a Penicillin. Both flowing all night and so good. With a wedding our size (116) I was shocked at how quickly the staff was able to get drinks to our guests. Also, the canapes and oyster station at our cocktail hour was incredible and a huge fan favorite. Just really delicious food overall.
Overall, Deer Mountain Inn provided an unforgettable experience, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding. We could not recommend this venue more!!!!

everage program stood out to us and we just knew that we had to have our wedding here. The private mountaintop boasts a breathtaking view, the Inn is luxurious and cozy, and the experience is nothing short of magical. Deer Mountain Inn is the perfect Catskills oasis. Maureen and Nick, the Events Directors at DMI, were such a pleasure to work alongside in planning our special day and made the stressful moments feel calm. Both Maureen and Nick took the time to understand what we wanted for our wedding weekend and thoughtfully helped us make the right decisions for vendors and all the details - big and small.
We visited Deer Mountain Inn three times before our wedding and each stay was better than the last. We got to know many of the staff at DMI and can't say enough about how warm, thoughtful and extremely talented they all are.
Our wedding day was everything we wanted it to be and more and can't imagine being able to pull it off without the dream team at DMI. If you are looking for a wedding venue upstate, that is not far from NYC - Deer Mountain Inn is the most special place you will find and we cannot recommend it enough. We look forward to going back to visit every year to create even more memories at a place that now feels like home.
The Deer Mountain Inn was exceptional for our wedding. We cannot say better things about the service / staff, food and setting (not to mention the beautiful rooms!). Maureen and ...
Nick were incredibly helpful and attentive as wedding planners. Deer Mountain Inn has our emphatic endorsement as a hotel and wedding venue!

ied there. After inquiring, we found out there was one summer opening, and just five months later, they helped us throw the wedding of our dreams.
We cannot thank the DMI team enough for their exceptional service. Maureen and Nick, the event planners, were a joy to work with. Despite our short timeline, they managed to keep the planning process stress-free and straightforward. Their professionalism and personal touch were evident in every aspect of our wedding. We are truly grateful to them and the entire team at the Inn for making our special day so memorable.
The venue is stunning, cohesively designed, and elegantly integrated into its natural surroundings. Attention to detail is high, from the material and furniture choices to the food and drink menus. The venue itself created such an authentic environment that all of our guests left feeling like they had been a part of something very special and unique, as did we. It exceeded the vision we landed on 5 months prior on our first stay at the Inn.

wedding is inherently stressful but they made it so much easier. Lastly, the food was actual really good, which is pretty rare at weddings.
All our guest seemed to love it and kept talking about how they were already planning a weekend trip to DMI.

am and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Our wedding last month was so special, and it's because of the charm of the Catskills, the Inn, and all the amazing people who work here. Maureen, Nick, and the entire DMI team are fantastic. They went above and beyond for us the past six months continuously planning, and making sure each detail was checked off of the list. They made our families and guests feel welcome and taken care of. I cannot thank them enough for how amazing our day and entire stay were. From the mountaintop ceremony to cocktail hour, and reception, each transition was flawless. If not for the charm of the Inn, the rooms, views, aesthetics, etc.; the food... is something guests are still talking about. I cannot recommend this place enough to celebrate. My husband and I feel so lucky to have DMI as a part of our story and we can't wait to go back to visit.
I'm still in disbelief that my husband and I were lucky enough to get married at DMI. The inn/rooms, the property, the staff, the food, and the overall vibe are magical, and we had...
the most phenomenal experience getting married there. Maureen and the entire staff are kind, genuine, professional, and incredibly hardworking and partnered with us from the start to make sure our wedding was exactly what we wanted. Weddings aside, DMI is a fantastic place for a weekend escape and we look forward to visiting for anniversaries, events, and more as time goes on. We have friends planning weddings who are frustrated with their venues for countless reasons, and we have simply no advice for them because DMI was so unbelievably fantastic. I could go on for days about how wonderful it is!
DMI is truly a special place, as a wedding venue, but also as a hidden getaway in the Catskills that you'll be nostalgic for the second you leave.

ncredible Maureen and the DMI team are. The level of hospitality by the entire team is unparalleled. They take care of the bride and groom in a truly first class way, and are constantly looking for ways to continue elevating the experience for guests as well.
Maureen is exactly who you want in your corner throughout the planning process and on the wedding day. She shares great recommendations, knows amazing vendors, never forgets a thing, and always puts you and your family at ease. On our wedding day, it rained more in the Catskills than it had in 25 years. The entire DMI team went above and beyond to make adjustments to existing (sunny weather) plans and create a magical experience throughout the entire day. All of this was done on the fly given the weather and we're so thankful for all their creativity and hard work to make it an unforgettable day.
The team is incredibly friendly, attentive, and focused on bringing your vision to life, all while ensuring the road there is smooth and filled with special experiences along the way.

My husband and I were married on the mountain and had our reception in the restaurant at Deer Mountain Inn in October 2022. Not only was it the wedding of our dreams, but the entir...
e process was a pleasure (not something I'm sure a lot of brides can say). The moment I saw DMI, I knew it was the most special place and location we could choose for our wedding. Part of me does not want to give up my little secret of this crowned jewel of the Catskills, but I am more than happy to sing their praises from the mountaintop.
- The location/venue/lodge/grounds: 100/10. Truly the most breathtaking space that has been curated to have a cozy yet elegant feel. Staying at DMI is incredible, getting married there was a dream. The grounds are immaculate, the properties pristine, and the staff just as incredible as the location. We wanted a magical spot for our families and friends from across the world to come to and spend the weekend with us celebrating our marriage, and DMI far exceeded our expectations.
- The food was fantastic, and second to location/vibe in priorities for us. DMI's restaurant is one of the best in the entire Catskills, in my opinion. We worked closely with the DMI team to craft a seasonal menu for the wedding and every detail was perfect. We still get comments about how we had the "best wedding food" people had ever had.
- DMI's events manager - Maureen. She get's her own category. We booked with DMI two years in advance and had the pleasure of working with Maureen through the entire process. She made every step of wedding planning seamless and guided us on the journey, providing advice and vendor recommendations, but also listening to our nerves and wishes with empathy and understanding. She felt like a true partner and friend during the process, which went flawlessly with her guidance and dedication. Day of, we had some trouble with our shuttle vendor, and I had no idea. Maureen coordinated getting everyone up the mountain, and there was not a moment in which I did not feel 100% confident that things were going as planned. The space was coordinated better than I could have pictured. She took our vision and executed it to perfection.
We will be forever grateful for the incredible wedding we had at Deer Mountain Inn.
My husband, Ben, and I got married at Deer Mountain Inn in September of 2022, and to say that DMI was our dream venue is an understatement. The property is absolutely gorgeous, the...
grounds are immaculately maintained (including the beautiful gardens), and the lodge is the perfect balance of natural, rambling Catskills beauty and warm, charming, inviting log cabin. You can't help but feel immediately at home when you walk into Deer Mountain Inn. The food is delicious and unique (we STILL get compliments from guests about the menu) and the beverage director was incredibly helpful in curating our specialty cocktails (again, we STILL get compliments on our featured drinks). And the cherry on top? The incredible overlook nestled above the lodge, where we held our ceremony, has an unreal 270 degree view of the surrounding mountains. It's hard not to feel awestruck being in that space.
But what sets Deer Mountain Inn apart as a venue, even when you take into account its jaw dropping beauty, is the people. Every single person who we worked with at DMI to make our wedding the most memorable weekend of our lives was kind, generous, professional, and inviting. Even in moments where we felt impatient, frustrated, or stumped by planning or logistics, the staff at DMI always kept a level head and helped guide us towards a solution.
There's one person, though, that deserves the most praise, and that's the Events Director, Maureen. Maureen is exactly who you want to steer the ship on helping to plan your big day - she's warm, supportive, organized, able to recommend and connect you to any kind of vendor you're looking for, accommodating, and has an incredible grounding factor that's so important when planning your wedding.
What more can we say? We can't recommend Deer Mountain Inn more highly. If you're considering them as your wedding venue, what are you waiting for?

The staff is incredible and make you feel a part of the family. The attention to detail is unparalleled. And I don't know what we would have done without Maureen, their Events Director. She was so well organized, easy to work with and executed our day flawlessly.

e and beyond to ensure our comfort. Each personalized touch they added made us feel truly at home, and now, whenever we return to DMI, it feels like visiting dear old friends. Maureen was an absolute joy to work with. Her meticulous attention to detail ensured that everything ran smoothly throughout the entire weekend, allowing us to focus on cherishing precious moments with our friends and family. The team's exceptional organization, prompt communication, and genuine kindness made us feel incredibly well-cared for.
The culinary experience at Deer Mountain Inn surpassed all expectations. The food and beverage programs were exceptional, with an amazing selection of seasonal dishes that left our guests utterly impressed. Many of them said it was one of the best dining experiences they had ever had, not just in the context of weddings but in general. Even the late-night snacks were out of this world.
The venue itself was ideal for our intimate wedding celebration. The main lodge, where we stayed and held our reception dinner, had a cozy and charming ambiance. We took advantage of the patio for cocktail hours and the attic for late-night gatherings with friends. Being surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Catskills mountains added an enchanting touch to our ceremony. Deer Mountain Inn holds a deeply sentimental place in our hearts, and we continue to cherish our time spent there.
With so many outdoor activities available nearby, DMI offers a multitude of special experiences for guests to enjoy. Whether it's exploring the picturesque surroundings or indulging in the tranquility of the mountaintop views from the inn, there is something truly magical about this place. We eagerly await our next visit, for an opportunity to relive cherished memories and create new ones. We are so grateful to Deer Mountain Inn and its exceptional staff, and cannot recommend them more to host a wedding!

ng in NYC. It was our secret getaway tucked in the Catskills and he asked me to marry him on the front steps. It was clear to us right away that there was no better, or more important, place for us to get married, and the DMI team quickly became like a second family.
Maureen (the events director and in-house wedding planner) is truly god sent. She helped me with every single detail, put together the most specific spreadsheets, timelines, and schedules, and kept everyone calm and relaxed. Artem, the hotel manager, became a great friend, working tirelessly to ensure we were always happy and enjoying ourselves. And Greg, the sommelier, put together the best signature cocktails and made sure every guest always had a great drink in their hand. The entire staff is wonderful and the food is also incredible - to this day my guests tell me it was the best wedding food they've ever had.
It's a beautiful, cozy and homey place with a fantastic view of the mountains to have a wedding. Even though it pains me that our secret is out, I can't recommend DMI enough!
We were lucky enough to celebrate our wedding weekend at Deer Mountain Inn and couldn’t recommend it more! The venue and grounds are beautiful, the atmosphere is unparalleled, and ...
the food remains the best of any wedding we’ve attended. The whole team at DMI was great to work with - Maureen was an incredible (and beyond responsive!) partner while planning, Greg made sure the bar and beverages were on point, and everyone on the day of went above and beyond to make us and our guests happy. We truly had an amazing experience and are very grateful to DMI for a memorable wedding.

we were planning fatigued to say the least. Maureen & team stepped up and made the entire process so easy and seamless. The DMI is absolutely stunning and was the perfect, cozy, beautiful back drop for our late November wedding. Our friends continue to rave over 6 months later that our wedding ay the Deer Mountain Inn was the best wedding they ever attended. The atmosphere, food, and cocktails were all 10/10.
