The Deer Mountain Inn

Just prior to our engagement, we spent a weekend at the Inn and were so blown away by the food, atmosphere, and people at DMI that we decided on the spot that we wanted to get married there. After inquiring, we found out there was one summer opening, and just five months later, they helped us throw the wedding of our dreams. We cannot thank the DMI team enough for their exceptional service. Maureen and Nick, the event planners, were a joy to work with. Despite our short timeline, they managed to keep the planning process stress-free and straightforward. Their professionalism and personal touch were evident in every aspect of our wedding. We are truly grateful to them and the entire team at the Inn for making our special day so memorable. The venue is stunning, cohesively designed, and elegantly integrated into its natural surroundings. Attention to detail is high, from the material and furniture choices to the food and drink menus. The venue itself created such an authentic environment that all of our guests left feeling like they had been a part of something very special and unique, as did we. It exceeded the vision we landed on 5 months prior on our first stay at the Inn.

Dear Mountain Inn is just a really beautiful place in a really beautiful area. Maureen and Nick were incredibly helpful and accommodating for some of our specific needs. Planning a wedding is inherently stressful but they made it so much easier. Lastly, the food was actual really good, which is pretty rare at weddings. All our guest seemed to love it and kept talking about how they were already planning a weekend trip to DMI.

The Deer Mountain Inn is truly one of the most unique and beautiful places to have a wedding. And it's now one of our favorite places ever! I randomly stumbled across it on Instagram and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Our wedding last month was so special, and it's because of the charm of the Catskills, the Inn, and all the amazing people who work here. Maureen, Nick, and the entire DMI team are fantastic. They went above and beyond for us the past six months continuously planning, and making sure each detail was checked off of the list. They made our families and guests feel welcome and taken care of. I cannot thank them enough for how amazing our day and entire stay were. From the mountaintop ceremony to cocktail hour, and reception, each transition was flawless. If not for the charm of the Inn, the rooms, views, aesthetics, etc.; the food... is something guests are still talking about. I cannot recommend this place enough to celebrate. My husband and I feel so lucky to have DMI as a part of our story and we can't wait to go back to visit.

I'm still in disbelief that my husband and I were lucky enough to get married at DMI. The inn/rooms, the property, the staff, the food, and the overall vibe are magical, and we had the most phenomenal experience getting married there. Maureen and the entire staff are kind, genuine, professional, and incredibly hardworking and partnered with us from the start to make sure our wedding was exactly what we wanted. Weddings aside, DMI is a fantastic place for a weekend escape and we look forward to visiting for anniversaries, events, and more as time goes on. We have friends planning weddings who are frustrated with their venues for countless reasons, and we have simply no advice for them because DMI was so unbelievably fantastic. I could go on for days about how wonderful it is!

DMI is truly a special place, as a wedding venue, but also as a hidden getaway in the Catskills that you'll be nostalgic for the second you leave. We can't say enough about how incredible Maureen and the DMI team are. The level of hospitality by the entire team is unparalleled. They take care of the bride and groom in a truly first class way, and are constantly looking for ways to continue elevating the experience for guests as well. Maureen is exactly who you want in your corner throughout the planning process and on the wedding day. She shares great recommendations, knows amazing vendors, never forgets a thing, and always puts you and your family at ease. On our wedding day, it rained more in the Catskills than it had in 25 years. The entire DMI team went above and beyond to make adjustments to existing (sunny weather) plans and create a magical experience throughout the entire day. All of this was done on the fly given the weather and we're so thankful for all their creativity and hard work to make it an unforgettable day. The team is incredibly friendly, attentive, and focused on bringing your vision to life, all while ensuring the road there is smooth and filled with special experiences along the way.

It was flawless and dynamic. From the gorgeous overlook of the green valley to cocktail hour on the balcony to the ranger in the tent (and after party in the attic), our special day could not have happened anywhere else. Thank you Maureen & DMI staff!

My husband and I were married on the mountain and had our reception in the restaurant at Deer Mountain Inn in October 2022. Not only was it the wedding of our dreams, but the entire process was a pleasure (not something I'm sure a lot of brides can say). The moment I saw DMI, I knew it was the most special place and location we could choose for our wedding. Part of me does not want to give up my little secret of this crowned jewel of the Catskills, but I am more than happy to sing their praises from the mountaintop. - The location/venue/lodge/grounds: 100/10. Truly the most breathtaking space that has been curated to have a cozy yet elegant feel. Staying at DMI is incredible, getting married there was a dream. The grounds are immaculate, the properties pristine, and the staff just as incredible as the location. We wanted a magical spot for our families and friends from across the world to come to and spend the weekend with us celebrating our marriage, and DMI far exceeded our expectations. - The food was fantastic, and second to location/vibe in priorities for us. DMI's restaurant is one of the best in the entire Catskills, in my opinion. We worked closely with the DMI team to craft a seasonal menu for the wedding and every detail was perfect. We still get comments about how we had the "best wedding food" people had ever had. - DMI's events manager - Maureen. She get's her own category. We booked with DMI two years in advance and had the pleasure of working with Maureen through the entire process. She made every step of wedding planning seamless and guided us on the journey, providing advice and vendor recommendations, but also listening to our nerves and wishes with empathy and understanding. She felt like a true partner and friend during the process, which went flawlessly with her guidance and dedication. Day of, we had some trouble with our shuttle vendor, and I had no idea. Maureen coordinated getting everyone up the mountain, and there was not a moment in which I did not feel 100% confident that things were going as planned. The space was coordinated better than I could have pictured. She took our vision and executed it to perfection. We will be forever grateful for the incredible wedding we had at Deer Mountain Inn.

My husband, Ben, and I got married at Deer Mountain Inn in September of 2022, and to say that DMI was our dream venue is an understatement. The property is absolutely gorgeous, the grounds are immaculately maintained (including the beautiful gardens), and the lodge is the perfect balance of natural, rambling Catskills beauty and warm, charming, inviting log cabin. You can't help but feel immediately at home when you walk into Deer Mountain Inn. The food is delicious and unique (we STILL get compliments from guests about the menu) and the beverage director was incredibly helpful in curating our specialty cocktails (again, we STILL get compliments on our featured drinks). And the cherry on top? The incredible overlook nestled above the lodge, where we held our ceremony, has an unreal 270 degree view of the surrounding mountains. It's hard not to feel awestruck being in that space. But what sets Deer Mountain Inn apart as a venue, even when you take into account its jaw dropping beauty, is the people. Every single person who we worked with at DMI to make our wedding the most memorable weekend of our lives was kind, generous, professional, and inviting. Even in moments where we felt impatient, frustrated, or stumped by planning or logistics, the staff at DMI always kept a level head and helped guide us towards a solution. There's one person, though, that deserves the most praise, and that's the Events Director, Maureen. Maureen is exactly who you want to steer the ship on helping to plan your big day - she's warm, supportive, organized, able to recommend and connect you to any kind of vendor you're looking for, accommodating, and has an incredible grounding factor that's so important when planning your wedding. What more can we say? We can't recommend Deer Mountain Inn more highly. If you're considering them as your wedding venue, what are you waiting for?

Deer Mountain Inn is nothing short of magical as a wedding venue. It is such a special place set in nature. We got married there in 2021 and it was an unforgettable day that was executed so naturally and beautifully. The staff is so incredibly friendly, helpful, and savvy. Maureen is a total gem to work and plan with. No need for an outside planner, Maureen will have you covered! We could not recommend DMI more.

We had our wedding at Deer Mountain Inn last year in June 2022 and every one of our friends and family continue to rave about what an amazing experience it was - the perfect balance of intimate, sophisticated, comfortable and just a fun time! We keep getting asked if we can do it all again (perhaps one day for a vow renewal!) The staff is incredible and make you feel a part of the family. The attention to detail is unparalleled. And I don't know what we would have done without Maureen, their Events Director. She was so well organized, easy to work with and executed our day flawlessly.

The food and beverage programs were exceptional, with an amazing selection of seasonal dishes that left our guests utterly impressed. Many of them said it was one of the best dining experiences they had ever had, not just in the context of weddings but in general. Even the late-night snacks were out of this world. The venue itself was ideal for our intimate wedding celebration. The main lodge, where we stayed and held our reception dinner, had a cozy and charming ambiance. We took advantage of the patio for cocktail hours and the attic for late-night gatherings with friends. Being surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Catskills mountains added an enchanting touch to our ceremony. Deer Mountain Inn holds a deeply sentimental place in our hearts, and we continue to cherish our time spent there. With so many outdoor activities available nearby, DMI offers a multitude of special experiences for guests to enjoy. Whether it's exploring the picturesque surroundings or indulging in the tranquility of the mountaintop views from the inn, there is something truly magical about this place. We eagerly await our next visit, for an opportunity to relive cherished memories and create new ones. We are so grateful to Deer Mountain Inn and its exceptional staff, and cannot recommend them more to host a wedding!

I can’t even begin to explain how special of a place Deer Mountain Inn is. My husband and I spent dating anniversaries, New Year Eve’s, and summer days there as a respite from living in NYC. It was our secret getaway tucked in the Catskills and he asked me to marry him on the front steps. It was clear to us right away that there was no better, or more important, place for us to get married, and the DMI team quickly became like a second family. Maureen (the events director and in-house wedding planner) is truly god sent. She helped me with every single detail, put together the most specific spreadsheets, timelines, and schedules, and kept everyone calm and relaxed. Artem, the hotel manager, became a great friend, working tirelessly to ensure we were always happy and enjoying ourselves. And Greg, the sommelier, put together the best signature cocktails and made sure every guest always had a great drink in their hand. The entire staff is wonderful and the food is also incredible - to this day my guests tell me it was the best wedding food they've ever had. It's a beautiful, cozy and homey place with a fantastic view of the mountains to have a wedding. Even though it pains me that our secret is out, I can't recommend DMI enough!

We were lucky enough to celebrate our wedding weekend at Deer Mountain Inn and couldn’t recommend it more! The venue and grounds are beautiful, the atmosphere is unparalleled, and the food remains the best of any wedding we’ve attended. The whole team at DMI was great to work with - Maureen was an incredible (and beyond responsive!) partner while planning, Greg made sure the bar and beverages were on point, and everyone on the day of went above and beyond to make us and our guests happy. We truly had an amazing experience and are very grateful to DMI for a memorable wedding.

Maureen & team at the Deer Mountain Inn were absolutely fantastic to work with. We previously planned three destination weddings abroad that were cancelled due to the pandemic. So, we were planning fatigued to say the least. Maureen & team stepped up and made the entire process so easy and seamless. The DMI is absolutely stunning and was the perfect, cozy, beautiful back drop for our late November wedding. Our friends continue to rave over 6 months later that our wedding ay the Deer Mountain Inn was the best wedding they ever attended. The atmosphere, food, and cocktails were all 10/10. It was truly the best weekend of our lives. We can’t wait to go back.

We got married here in December and it was perfect. We rented the two houses and had our family only wedding in the Tuckaway house. We cooked in the large kitchen of the Skylark house our first night and had breakfast and dinner at the inn the second day. Wonderful place with a wonderful staff and ambiance. We’re definitely coming back here in the summer to see what it’s like then. Highly recommend.
