Zachary and his team at the Detroit Beer Co. provided a wonderful rehearsal dinner for our guests. While we originally intended to utilize the second floor event space, COVID-19 ha...
d other plans. Zachary was fantastic at communicating with us in the days leading up to our event and was seamlessly able to ensure that our food selections were catered to our off-site venue. Detroit Beer Co. was prompt, professional, and a pleasure to work with for our dinner. Thank you!
Great location for rehearsal dinner. Close to the qline and the people mover. We had a slideshow on the TV with childhood photos which was a hit. Buffet style in the semi private s...

This place, specifically the third floor, was perfect for all of our needs. We rented the space Friday and were able to get in as soon as it opened to start to decorate for the big...
day. We then had the rehearsal dinner there, which was pizza, and family and friends raved about it. Saturday we had the place as both the ceremony and reception space and it was perfect for the 103 total people we had. Plenty of space for everything, included a dance floor. They were always quick to respond to any email or communications and during the day of all the staff was amazing! I can not recommend enough. It is also super affordable!
We had our welcome party at the DBC the night before our wedding. We were looking for a more relaxed, laid back venue for around 90 people, and the third floor space at the DBC was...
perfect. Planning the menu was easy, and the people we worked with (Kaitlyn, Maria, and Jeff) were very helpful.
We chose one of the buffet options and the beer/wine open bar package. The food was served on time and was delicious. The bartenders were professional and efficient.
We had my bridal shower (aprox 23 people) on the second floor. It was amazing! My sister and mom brought decorations (table cloths, flowers, posters) and within 10 minutes it looke...
d like a different place! The staff was very attentive and helpful. We had a pizza bar with salad, pasta and rolls. It was all delicious! I looked at many different venues for my shower and DBC was the perfect blend of nice & casual.
100% would recommend
We had our rehearsal dinner/welcome dinner here on a Friday night. Overall we would say it was pretty good. We had a lot of small(ish) issues that were very frustrating in the mome...
nt. The manager tried to be helpful but it was very annoying to worry about all of the issues instead of enjoying our family from out of town (80 people). The service was fine, everyone was courteous. They did NOT have a way to actually communicate between themselves and it was very inconvenient. We paid extra for the prime rib buffet, it was alright. The mac and cheese was very good. We ordered the garlic bread but received assorted rolls (not a huge deal just disappointing). We spent a lot of time going back and forth talking about alcohol options and we decided to do a running tab with only beer and wine. We were never told that they were only going to have two beer options on the third floor. We were very, very disappointed with this. The beer selection is a big reason why we picked this location and our favorite types of beers (mine and my husbands) were not either of the options. They did take off a small portion of our bill for this but it did not remedy the situation. I do have to say our guests did enjoy the two beers a lot and were very happy with the red wine We had lots of problems with the av package. No one told us that it had to be an iphone or an ipad to play music (we both have androids). We had to hunt down the manager to tell us how to set up the slide show and to get a microphone for our speeches. (they had nothing set up for us to use the av package as reserved). They waived the $75 fee for the av package since we only had it for 2/3 of our event. The manager downloaded amazon prime for us to log in and access our playlist to finally have music and a few songs played and then it turned off and never came back on. (We were done spending all of our time talking to the manager instead of our guests to deal with why the music went off.) And to end the night when my husband was paying for everything he got the bill and it was a lot less than expected! He talked to the manager and said I thought there was a service fee on here. He said no that is everything and then walked away. My husband extra money in the tip jar (that our guests have been tipping in all night) and then the manager came back to get the credit card and realized the gratuity was not put on there (what my husband was trying to ask about when he said service charge). The manger added the gratuity and charged our credit card. We expected that charge but we would not have added all of the extra money to the tip jar so we paid over what we were expecting. Overall I was very frustrated while we were there but our guests didnt know that there were so many issues and had a good time.
Thank you so much to the staff at the DBC for being so accommodating. They were so helpful in all preparations leading up to the big day and especially on the big day! We had both ...
our ceremony and reception here, so some work was needed to change the room over in between. We got a lot of compliments on the venue and how great the food was and of course the beer! A huge shoutout to Jeff - we had orginially wanted to have fish tacos as part of our food package, but due to limitations of the kitchen this was not possible, however, Jeff showed up to the sweetheart table just as dinner started with a plate of the fish tacos for my husband and I! a real treat! If your looking for a non traditional venue and are afraid of doing a lot of things yourself, this is a great and beautiful space!
We had our wedding on the third floor and we loved our experience from beginning to end. Josh, the general manager, was very easy to work with. He always addressed my questions and...
concerns with enthusiasm, never making me feel like I was bothering him. If there was ever an issue, he immediately worked on it and always rectified the situation. All of the bartenders and waitstaff were amazing with our guests and always available to help with anything. We have received so many compliments on our wedding, from the location and space to the food and service. If you're getting married, get married there! I promise you won't regret it and your guests will love it! We are forever grateful to DBC and plan on coming back every year on our anniversary.
Our wedding was completely based in Detroit and we were going for an overall urban feel and experience, so the Detroit Beer Company was the perfect choice. First of all we love the...
ir food, its so good! We rented their 3rd floor private room with brick walls and wood floors. We had open bar with beer and wine plus dinner. They also allowed our families to put together a slideshow of my husband and I and helped them play it before dinner. I'm not positive about how much they charged because my husbands family took care of the payment.
