INCREDIBLE, period. These ladies are so talented and added such diverse element of music to our wedding. Lakshmi is so lovely and easy to work with. Their song selection is vast and eclectic. We originally booked a soloist, unaffiliated, and it was fortunate that she backed out two-months prior to our wedding since we found The Devonshire Players. Their pricing is very reasonable and there are options to fit your budget. Literally, everyone is still talking about the string trio we booked (I wish I booked the quartet in hindsight)…two months after our wedding. They are a MUST book!!

The Devonshire Players came recommended by my party planner, and these ladies are AMAZING! Lakshmi is so kind and such a pleasure to work with. The group has such talent and range. I was blown away by the mix of modern and classic songs they cover and they learned 2 new songs for our ceremony. They set the tone for a special and emotional ceremony. I cannot recommend enough!

The Devonshire Players were an incredible part of a beautiful day. The wedding began with a a ceremony, and their music filling the air with anticipation and love. They continued to play during the cocktail party, and the music was a perfect addition to the festivities. It set the mood for the rest of the days events. Lakshmi was so easy to work with. Their repertoire of music is so deep, which makes selecting the music so enjoyable. They are HIGHLY recommended.

I had seen The Devonshire Players at a wedding the year before mine and knew right then and there that I would hire them. Lakshmi was so responsive and helpful with her suggestions for ceremony and cocktail music. They did a great job the day of and I was so pleased with the way everything turned out. I cannot say enough amazing things about this talented group of women. Lakshmi was so easy to work with when booking and amazingly responsive when we sadly had to push our wedding date due to COVID. What incredible musicians! My husband and I knew we wanted a string quartet for our ceremony and cocktail hour, but our standards were very high being musicians ourselves. The Devonshire Players are exquisite and professional musicians and we cannot recommend them more!

gorgeous! thank you ladies! easy to work with, amazing sound, professional, etc... we originally heard them at a wedding and knew that we wanted then at ours. not only do they have a great sound, they have a great repertoire. I heard everything from tailor swift to the Beatles. also, the girls came dressed in colors similar to our wedding colors, which they plan. highly recommended!

The Devonshire Players are fabulous! We were lucky to work with them for our wedding ceremony on 8/17/19 in Ridgefield, CT. The Devonshire Players provided the ceremony music for our 8/25/2018 wedding at the Surf Club in New Rochelle and all I can say is WOW! They added a touch of elegance and created such an incredibly romantic ambiance to our ceremony. The Devonshire Players made my church ceremony everything I could have ever hoped for. The best part of the entire wedding day was walking down the aisle to "Blower's Daughters" and seeing my now husband's face . They even learned how to play "I Don't Want to Wait" by Paula Cole for my bridesmaids to walk down the aisle as my homage to Dawson's Creek. Each song they played was special to us and they exceeded our expectations. Guests still come up to me to say how beautiful the ceremony was. The Devonshire Players were amazing. They performed beautifully at our ceremony and played all of the songs that we requested perfectly, including a special mash-up that I wanted played for my entrance (as a surprise to my groom). They were the perfect soundtrack to our ceremony and if we had to do it over we would choose them again! We would definitely recommend them!

After a lot of searching for a string trio we finally found everything we were looking for in the Devonshire Players!! I knew from the beginning I wanted a string trio for the ceremony and we couldn't be happier with their performance! They have such a wide range of music which was a great bonus since we could have both classical songs and modern songs. We trusted them to choose songs that would fit the setting and they did just that. They played for about 20 minutes before the ceremony started and although we didn't hear that part, we received so many compliments from our guests. The songs we chose for the processional, recessional and my walk down the aisle were played to perfection! The Devonshire Players performed our cocktail hour as well and it was a real treat to hear their diverse selection of music. It was a great way to get the second half of our wedding started. I recently hired The Devonshire Players to perform during the cocktail hour of my daughters wedding. From day one, the company was an absolute pleasure to work with. They provided us with a large listing of both contemporary and classical songs to select from, with each selection they performed being better then the next. My guest could of listened to them for hours! Their talent and expertise added an incredible amount of poise and elegance to the cocktail hour, truly making it unique and one that will be remembered for a long time. These women were outstanding and well worth the very reasonable fee charged for such a quality performance. I would of given them a hundred stars if I could have!

We absolutely loved the Devonshire Players! They played as a quartet during our ceremony and cocktail hour (wedding was April 2018). They learned a couple of songs for our ceremony and they sounded incredible. Lakshmi was very responsive to our emails. We received a ton of compliments about how good they were. Highly recommend!!!

This string quartet is quite simply the best. I made a rather difficult request, and they totally made it happen. They were extremely easy to work with and their musicianship is exquisite. WOW!!!! I must start the review in this way because I was speechless for the day of my wedding. No words can describe how incredibly special and romantic it was to have the Devonshire Players playing as I walked down the aisle. Furthermore, Laksmi was VERY awesome to work with and was always providing timely responses if I had a question. They played all of our songs without any questions being asked and the guests LOVED THEM! A nice classy and elegant ceremony and cocktail hour with a modern twist. Not to mention, the Devonshire Players show up in style. Without even planning it, the ladies showed up in coral dresses (which are so in) and matched with small details found within the bouquets that my girls and I had. The Devonshire Players were beyond perfect @ our wedding in Westchester this June. From prelude to recessional, they delivered a flawless and elegant performance that enamored our entire guest list and ourselves. As a wedding professional myself, finding vendors for your own day isn't easy. However, Lakshmi was my first call as soon as we booked our venue. That's how confident I was in her ability and she still over-delivered. You would be crazy not to book TDP!

The Devonshire Players are a must-get! My husband and I were so excited to have them play at our ceremony and cocktail hour. They are so incredibly talented and their repertoire is so vast - they are the perfect touch to your wedding! We requested a song that was not in their repertoire and they were so willing to go the extra mile and made our dreams a reality. I was so glad that I was able to hear them play while I was taking photos although I was not able to enjoy the cocktail hour. My only regret was that I was not able to thank them in-person at the conclusion of the cocktail hour for helping elevate our wedding and making it so magical!

The Devonshire Players elevated our wedding to a level beyond compare! Unfortunately, as the Bride, I may have missed most of their performance during our pre-ceremony welcome and the cocktail hour, but trust that I've had a lovely experience with these ladies enough to validate this review! Not to mention, I am STILL receiving raving compliments from guests! Firstly, their music on Soundcloud speaks for itself—it's just beautiful, and every bit an accurate representation of what they deliver in person. We immediately knew we HAD to have them at our wedding, and despite the long distance AND long day, the ladies were flexible and accomodating—so easy to work with! The minute I heard the strings begin Canon in D, I turned the corner to embark down the aisle with my father as if entering a dream. The sounds were perfect, and these ladies know what they're doing. We used the Devonshire Players for our ceremony and cocktail hour for a May 2017 wedding at Blue Hill at Stone Barns. Being a former cello player myself, my standards were quite high for the string quartet. The Devonshire Players blew me away and I knew I had to book them! Working with Lakshmi was such a breeze and she was completely open to my ideas on certain songs I wanted played. Lakshmi was so responsive and would always email me back within hours - which was much appreciated! I highly recommend the Devonshire Players!

I found the Devonshire Players through the Knot and I am so happy I found them to play at the ceremony and cocktail hour during my wedding in New Rochelle, NY! Lakshmi was a dream to work. She was very responsive to questions and her group was willing to learn a new arrangement we wanted played at the end of the ceremony. Their sound was beautiful and made me so happy before walking down the aisle! My husband's aunt could not stop talking about them after the cocktail hour! Although, nothing compared to the beautiful music I heard coming from our ceremony room while I was awaiting my entrance. These amazing and talented women added a special touch to our wedding that was beyond my wildest dreams. Our Great Gatsby themed wedding was made complete with their wonderful contribution to our Jazz-Aged cocktail hour. I don't even know how to begin my review for The Devonshire Players, because no words can accurately describe how much they added to our wedding day. My husband and I hired The Devonshire Players to perform at our wedding ceremony as well as cocktail hour after hearing their Soundcloud samples, and it was one of the best and easiest decisions we made. My husband and I are more contemporary, so wanted more range/modern songs versus classical, and The Devonshire Players more than accommodated us (I'll literally never be able to listen to "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol again without envisioning their string version of it). Not only are these women incredibly talented - to the point that even our very picky/opinionated family were blown away and are STILL raving about them - but they are the epitome of professionalism, from their attitude to their appearance when they come to play on your wedding day. Lakshmi was amazing to work with, as the point of contact for the quartet. She fielded numerous emails where I requested advice or tried to run ideas by her, and did so with so much warmth and kindness (even after we had paid the final deposit, which I cannot say for all of our wedding vendors). The day of the wedding, the quartet played so beautifully that our cocktail hour included multiple people congratulating us.... and telling us how beautiful the ceremony music was. They didn't compete with the conversations guests were having, and were the perfect backdrop to add elegance and beautiful music for everyone to enjoy. The Devonshire Players took our wedding to another level - their talent is unparalleled, their response time to emails helps to put you at ease, and their warmth just radiates. Booking The Devonshire Players helped to personalize our ceremony and reception so much, and we are so grateful to them for bringing so much beauty to our day through their music! The minute I heard The Devonshire Players' Music as I was perusing The Knot for a quartet or live band I knew they had to play at my wedding. Listening to their sound bites thinking about walking down the aisle put tears in my eyes every time. They met every high expectation we had from the initial email to the wedding day. Their music is joyful and moving and our guests LOVED their music. We did our first look prior to the ceremony just so we could enjoy their music during the cocktail hour. If you're looking for the best live performance you can find then these ladies are a no brainer. The Devonshire Players exceeded our expectations in every way possible! When I first contacted them it was within a month to spare before my wedding and lucky for us, they had availability that day! Communication was quick and stress free! Their playlist is amazing. We didn't want anything traditional playing for our wedding and the Devonshire Players kept the mood upbeat by playing all pop and more recent tunes that we had requested! They even found the notes and played a special request song for me as I walked down the aside :). My guests couldn't stop gabbing over you ladies and what a wonderful touch it was to our wedding! Simplely amazing artists!!!!!! I can not say enough good things about the Devonshire players, from the beginning I informed Lakshmi that I wanted this to be a surprise for my fiancé at the time,she was so helpful with the entire experience. These incredibly talented, gracious and graceful ladies did the impossible - they made an otherwise perfect wedding even better. Every song sounded as good or better than what they had posted on their site. The children at the wedding were mesmerized by the beauty of their music. The guests could not stop complimenting us on our choice of musicians. If I had a single complaint, it is that they don't travel to Texas (where my new bride and I live). We hired the Devonshire players for our ceremony and they were fantastic! They were even willing to write an arrangement of our special song "Superbass" for us. The Devonshire Players are a truly amazing group! I got married at The Garrison 3 weeks ago and they played during my ceremony and cocktail hour. I requested a certain song for the bridal party to walk down to and The Devonshire Players learned the song and played it perfectly. It brought tears to my eyes. My Dad composed a piece for our processional and recessional that he asked them to learn and they played the music so incredibly beautifully and were kind of enough to record them playing the piece so I will have it forever. Getting to walk down the aisle to a piece composed by my Dad was incredibly special. During the cocktail hour, they played a variety of modern music, all so beautifully, including the Game of Thrones theme song which was AWESOME! My Mom, Dad, and I worked closely with Lakshmi and what a warm and wonderful person she is! My mom passed away a week before my wedding and Lakshmi was there for us, providing comfort, support, and making sure our wedding day was one full joy, love, and memories that we will never forget. I would recommend The Devonshire Players to anyone!

We had a string duo from the Devonshire Players perform at my Catholic wedding ceremony this past Saturday, and we were thrilled with their performance! They played classical songs for the prelude, processional, and interludes. Our guests all commented on how lovely the music was. Walking down the aisle to Pachelbel's Canon on violin and viola was exactly how I imagined it--so beautiful. Lakshmi was a pleasure to work with in the weeks leading up to the wedding. She provided musical suggestions and she worked closely with the music coordinator at our church to ensure that the program came together smoothly. My cousin sang two songs at the ceremony, and Lakshmi went out of her way to coordinate with her as well. She was incredibly responsive and professional. I highly recommend the Devonshire Players for any event. If my church had not been strict about prohibiting secular music, I would have loved to have them play some of their more modern songs as well. Maybe for another event some day!

The Devonshire Players did our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and were great! They had the timing of the ceremony worked out perfectly and didn't skip a note despite my young niece's interest in their instruments during the ceremony. Unfortunately, for the cocktail hour I didn't really hear them because my husband and I were taking pictures and then saying hello to everyone. However, the guests loved them. We received several compliments on how great it was to hear pop music played well on the strings. Leading up to the event, they were nothing but a pleasure to deal with--professional, organized, and accommodating. I highly recommend them!

I am so happy I booked The Devonshire Players for our cocktail hour! I found them by chance on the Knot. From the first email to the last email, Lakshmi was prompt, professional, and sweet. They have a great selection of songs to choose from. I loved hearing their beautiful instrumentals of everything from Coldplay, the Beatles, to Elvis play during our cocktail hour. We decided to have some light entertainment for our guests as they wined and dined outside with their cocktails in a tranquil garden like setting and who better than the Devonshire Players to perform?!?! The Devonshire Players stole the show during cocktail hour! :) They perfectly complimented our wedding with their classical renditions of a diverse mix of contemporary songs and special requests including the theme song to Super Mario Brothers, YES, Super Mario Brothers!!! It was requested by my loving husband and they were able to play it amazingly!!! From the moment I read the hundreds of positive reviews on the Knot and WeddingWire, I had to inquire. Lakshmi was accommodating from the very start, she answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. After listening to their audio samples on their website, I knew they would be the perfect addition to our wedding! We just wish we got to hear more of them at the wedding, but we took pictures at the first half of cocktail hour. Our guests were extremely enthused and impressed by the talents of these 3 lovely ladies (we had the trio) as were we!!!! THANK YOU so much for playing at our wedding and making it special!!!!! If you want the most excellent music played during your wedding, the Devonshire Players are your only option! The elegance they brought to our ceremony and the relaxed atmosphere they were able to create during cocktail hour could NOT be topped! They are easy to work with and have an extensive list of songs that they can already play. However, if one of your songs you want played aren't listed, they are totally willing to work with you. We not be happier with the Devonshire Players and are so happy we booked them for our wedding. Thank you ladies!!

The Devonshire players were beyond amazing. We just got married last weekend and have heard praise from all of our guests about how awesome they sounded. Elegance and Class My husband and I were married at the Falkirk Estate and Country Club in Central Valley, NY on October 18, 2015. We wanted more than piped in or average ceremony music. I found The Devonshire Players online and as soon as I looked at their very informative and well laid out website we couldn't wait to hear them live!! Their site has samples of their very extensive repertoire as well as pictures of the beautiful women who play for the Devonshire Players. I have spoken to Lakshmi James and Melissa Macy who were always so very pleasant and informative. They are willing to work with you to make your special day everything you want it to be. We chose the quartet and had the traditional wedding march for my procession and loved the idea that we could chose Marry Me by Bruno Mars for the recessional!! Their sound was heavenly and performance and appearance very professional. It was exactly what we wanted and would highly recommend Devonshire Players if you want to add that EXTRA SPECIAL touch to your special occasion. Absolutely love them!!

The Devonshire Players by far exceeded our expectations. My husband and I were excited to book this vendor. This was our favorite aspect of our ceremony and cocktail hour. The personalize link on their website was our biggest helper. Seeing which songs they had to offer helped us make our ceremony very special and personal. We had a romantic vision for our wedding and the Devonshire Players provided us with exactly that. They have an extensive song list; from contemporary to classical. They showed up looking stunning! I found them by chance on the Knot and from my first email reply by Lakshmi I knew I was in good hands. She was extremely responsive and professional and continued to be so along the whole process. The Devonshire Players string quartet performed at my ceremony and reception at Whitby Castle. They were excellent. The music was lively, in tune, and most importantly, on cue, beginning and ending at the perfect times. Their repertoire is current and extensive, encompassing all kinds of genres, including pop, TV themes, rock, and they will work with you if you have special song requests. Lakshmi was a pleasure to work with. She responded quickly to every email I sent and thoroughly addressed every one of my questions and concerns. On the day of the wedding, they arrived on time, dressed professionally, and set up quickly. It ended up raining right before the ceremony, but they were flexible in working with the venue to switch to the indoor setup and everything worked out great. Thanks for the beautiful music, girls!

The Best Day Ever! I got married 9/26/15 and choosing The Devonshire Players, was the best decision ever. Although I had the string trio for the ceremony and cocktail hour, my guests are still talking about the music. I think most we're amazed to see all women. Ms. JAMES was easy breezy and a pleasure to work with. I want a wedding do over, just to be able to hear them play again. Lol

We got married in April 2015. Lakshmi James was so professional & lovely from start to finish! She was wonderful to deal with & very reassuring when it came to my music choices. I hired them as a string quartet, although you do have the option of a Trio for less money. We got married in Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown & my vision was an outdoor ceremony with a string quartet. The Devonshire Players were outstanding on the day, I can still hear my entrance to "John Legend All of Me" in my mind & it was beautiful. All our family from Ireland & the UK loved the music & they really rocked it out for the cocktail hour. The Devonshire Players were very pleasant to deal with throughout the wedding planning process. Lakshmi really helped with all of my music selections and the flow of the ceremony. She was extremely responsive and accommodating. The string quartet even played a piece during our ceremony with one of my bridesmaids, who is a professional singer, and they rehearsed the day-of. It was spectacular. As a musician myself, I was looking for an extremely high caliber of talent, which I found in The Devonshire Players. They can play everything from Taylor Swift to Bach and you can listen to all of the amazing sound clips on their website.

The Devonshire Players performed at our party at the Stone Mill in the Bronx Botanical Garden and they exceeded all our expectations! I knew they were going to be great but they completely blew us away. It was a lovely, elegant venue and they were a perfect complement. Poised, professional, exceptionally talented musicians. All our guests raved about their music -- it was absolutely exquisite. It was a pleasure to do business with them. I highly, highly recommend them! You will not be disappointed.

The Devonshire Players, headed by Lakshmi James, performed at my wedding at the Bear Mountain Inn (NY) on March 7th 2015. The string trio played the music for both my wedding ceremony and the cocktail hour and did an incredible job. I honestly don't know much about string music but they played beautifully and received rave reviews from all of the wedding guests in attendance. They were extremely professional, easy to work with and obviuosly very talented musicians. I also loved the fact that they offered a wide array of music to choose from (everything from Bach to Lady Gaga to U2). Their cost is extremely reasonable and both myself and my wife HIGHLY recommend their services.

I had an outdoor wedding and hired The Devonshire Players to play for both my ceremony and the cocktail hour (2 hours). The music was beautiful and everything about it was perfect. I even asked them to play more quietly while the pastor talked during the ceremony and they did everything to my request. So professional. I am so glad I was able to get them as their calendar fills up fast! They were the first vendor that I booked and I am so glad I did. Their quality of sound added a layer of elegance that really made my wedding stand out. Book them!

I had the Devonshire Players play both my ceremony and cocktail hour and have nothing but great things to say about them! Lakshmi was wonderful to work with. She was accommodating to our music selection and always made time to talk or email when we needed. Not to mention their music was absolutely beautiful! Since our wedding, I have received so many compliments from my guests about their sound and range of repertoire (they can play everything from classical to rock and pop!) My husband and I had them play classical through the ceremony, then switch to recent/contemporary music at the cocktail hour. This worked as a great way to first set the traditional tone for the ceremony, then transition into the fun/dance party to come later that night. I hired The Devonshire Players for both my ceremony and cocktail hour and couldn’t have been happier with their performance. I planned my wedding in just 4 months so the flexibility of the Players was SO much appreciated, I was able to provide Lakshmi with updates to my selections even two days before my wedding! She re-confirmed everything with me beforehand as well which was great and also let me know the music was in safe hands. Their selection of songs is extensive, I loved that I could choose classical music for the ceremony while also having modern, popular songs played for the cocktail hour. My guests thought it was a fun touch. I did my research, contacting multiple trios/quartets and have to say that the quality of music, selection and service far surpasses the others and they were competitively priced which was a nice plus!

We hired the Devonshire Players as a string trio for our wedding ceremony and these ladies were nothing short of wonderful! During the planning process I worked with the musicians directly - in particular Lakshmi and Melissa. They were quick to respond and always very pleasant. We had a few special requests for song selections which they found, learned, and performed beautifully. Their timing throughout our Catholic mass was absolutely perfect. Everything having to do with my wedding was done a little last minute. That said, Lakshmi was wonderful. She responded to my emails promptly as I went back and forth between a solo violist and solo cellist. Finally decided on a solo violist which ended up being Lakshmi herself! Part of why I contacted the Devonshire Players was because I had no idea what I wanted for ceremony music, only that I wanted a solo string player, and their website was full of recorded examples of classic and contemporary selections. I did not want your classic "Here Comes The Bride" selections. I was inspired to use Storybook Love from The Princess Bride and Eric Clapton's Wonderful Tonight just from visiting their website. Lakshmi responded quickly via email about availability for my date, whether or not a solo violist could pull off my selections and pricing. She even recorded herself working through the pieces and emailed them to me! She told me that our original recessional selection wouldn't work for a solo instrument, but made a wonderful suggestion for a similar piece that would work and we went with her choice. She was understanding that we hadn't planned what time the prelude should start and was flexible until that decision was made. The best thing was less than a week before the wedding my future in-laws asked if my violist could accompany them in singing a hymn. I was nervous to ask, and Lakshmi said it might not work out if it turned out that they didn't have any time to practice together before the ceremony, but while I was changing into my dress, I heard them practicing and they pulled it off during the ceremony! I really appreciate how flexible she was and how quickly she responded to all of my emails. I worried about a lot of stuff on my wedding day, but not my violist. Although I never actually spoke to her, I was busy running around getting my hair done and rushing to the venue late, she was professional and did her job quite nicely. I would highly recommend you contact the Devonshire Players if you want any string ensemble or soloist. They are so flexible and will perform as a duet, a trio or quartet depending on your needs.

At first we thought a quartet or trio was so cliche but then we heard The Devonshire Players and we were convinced! We chose a trio due to budgetary concerns and they sounded great. TDP has such a great list of songs and so many options for you to choose from. We used almost all modern songs for our ceremony (with a few classical ones thrown in) as well as the cocktail hour. We were so thrilled with their performance and professionalism, especially Lakshmi whom we coordinated the details with. All of our guests were complimenting us on the music and of course we took all the credit ;p And when your very own Matron of Honor/Sister runs out of the bridal suite to hear/videotape them playing the Game of Thrones theme you know you've made the right decision. We decided that a trio would be the way to go for the our ceremony and cocktail hour music. We wanted someone local and found the Devonshire Players on line. They had a fantastic website where we could listen to their music both classical and modern and we both fell in love with the sound. They were going to be perfect...we emailed them and from that moment on were met with such professionalism and enthusiasm that we could not wait for our wedding day. They assisted in the planning and their prices fit into our budget. The wedding day could not have been better. Our guests have not stopped raving about these lovely ladies. We highly recommend them to anyone that wants to make beautiful music on their wedding day.

If you want a touch of sophistication at your wedding, these gals are great. I had my wedding in an old mansion in February, and wanted sophisticated live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. BUT...i didn't want overly traditional or sleepy music, or music that was too loud. The Devonshire Players hit the sweet spot...they played beautiful classical music before and during the ceremony. For the cocktail hour, they played popular modern songs for added energy. The volume was perfect, as the music didn't compete with all of the conversations during cocktail hour but it provided a sophisticated backdrop. Lakshmi was professional and easy to work with. She sent a list of songs they could play, and my fiancee and I went on youtube to listen to the songs and then picked our favorites. On the day of the wedding, the four Players showed up on time and were dressed very nicely. With so much craziness on wedding day, I really appreciated having a low maintenance vendor. I also think the value is great.

The Devonshire Players were such a nice touch to our wedding ceremony & sounded beautiful. I highly recommend them for your wedding, especially if you want to have more modern music options vs. traditional. (they can do that too but for me this helped as I was able to have a mix for our wedding)

My wife and I got married during the first weekend of November 2013 at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, NY. We selected The Devonshire Players to play our ceremony music because their founder, Lakshmi Thorne James, was extremely helpful and friendly during our search for ceremony musicians. We were also very impressed with the range of The Devonshire Players' repertoire. After we signed our contract with The Devonshire Players, I probably e-mailed Lakshmi a dozen times to ask questions about the ceremony. She was very responsive, and she added valuable input to our ceremony's order of events. We also requested a song for our recessional that was not in The Devonshire Players' repertoire, but Lakshmi took the time to find workable sheet music and they played the song beautifully during the conclusion of our ceremony. My wife and I were beyond happy with their service from start to finish! I highly recommend that you inquire about their services for your wedding ceremony and/or cocktail hour.

I can't say enough about how wonderful these girls were! When I first started looking for a quartet for our ceremony, I found their website and instantly fell in love. I couldn't stop listening to their music selections, and got chills every time I heard a new song. Not only do they have classical and traditional music selections, but they also play Today's Music (i,e,, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Adele, Coldplay, etc.)!! How cool is that?! I told my husband I was calling them first thing the next day! I worked with Lakshmi during my planning process. The Devonshire Players performed at my wedding ceremony a few weeks ago. We found them through The Knot, but then discovered that other people we know have also used them, and told us they were excellent. Lakshmi was very easy to work with, from our initial contact, to the day of. In fact, I barely even saw them on the wedding day- they were very unobtrusive, but you knew they were there because the music sounded so great. They offer an extensive selection of songs to choose from, but I wanted to add one that wasn't on the list, and they had no problem with that. My ceremony went exactly as I dreamed it, because the Devonshire Players did such a nice job. I can't wait to get my wedding video so I can enjoy the performance "from the audience"!

I am so thrilled that we found the Devonshire Players for our wedding. We met them at a vendor open house, and as soon as they started playing one of our requests, my husband (then fiance) and I knew we had to have them for our ceremony. These women are so talented! And they were so pleasant and easy to work with. We have nothing but positive things to say about the experience we had with them. We chose to go with the string trio and it was amazing. They have a long play list and they will help you with your music selections if needed. I loved the fact that they could play modern music along with all the classical songs. The Devonshire Players were one of the best finds for our wedding. They are friendly, easy to work with, flexible and most importantly, they are an incredibly talented group that will produce amazing music for your day! Specifically, we used them for ceremony and cocktail and they rocked it at both. What's also neat is that they have a large repertoire of music, including contemporary pieces, so you can get your classics in and also have Coldplay! As we were about to walk down the aisle, my bridesmaids thought the music was a recording, and I think that says a lot about the quality! Highly recommend!!

The Devonshire Players are very talented and amazing musicians. They performed during our church ceremony and sounded absolutely beautiful.
