Kelly and Kendra were absolutely incredible to work with throughout the entire process, and the catering team was outstanding. The venue itself is beautiful, the service is truly world-class, and they made our wedding day run so smoothly that everything felt completely effortless.
We received so many compliments from our guests about the venue, food, service, and overall experience. We also felt completely comfortable and safe knowing we were in such a well-run venue. We are so grateful to the entire team for helping make our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be. We would recommend them to anyone without hesitation!

agical thanks to the stunning, versatile spaces at The Dogwood. Every corner was picture-perfect and easily adapted to our style and needs. Kelly and her team went above and beyond, offering genuine warmth, seamless service, and an attention to detail that made everyone feel truly welcome.
As for The Social Affair, our guests couldn't stop raving about the food, especially the pork chop. The double cut pork chop was the largest we have ever seen and was cooked to perfection. On top of that, every dietary restriction was handled with care and delicious options. The glowing feedback we received from loved ones is a testament to the joy and satisfaction we all experienced. We wholeheartedly recommend The Dogwood in the Grove and The Social Affair to anyone planning an event - you will not be disappointed!
Finding the venue for our day proved to be the single most stressful component of wedding planning, until Kelly walked in. Kelly and her team at the Dogwood and Social Affair Cater...
ing were not simply vendors, they were family. The word “no” was never considered in their vocabulary, rather each idea and dream was met with “how can we make this happen?” People often don’t recall what they ate at weddings or what appetizers made their way around, but not our guests. We are still hearing stories of cleaned plates, shared meals, and wondering when we’ll do this all again. Liz, the fabulous mastermind behind the scenes, and her incredible team ensured not a soul went hungry. This team has this magical way of making you feel as though you are the only couple in the world being married on this day and at this moment. Drew and I only wish we could live the day over and over again - and that’s thanks to this incredible family.
Can’t speak highly enough about The Dogwood. From the owner to management to the chef to the servers, all the epitome of professionalism, creativity and all around pleasure to work...

s said ALOT. This was the most memorable day of my life and I am so thankful for Kelly and the Team for a job well done
Great service. Great food . Venue was beautiful
The Dogwood in the Grove is a beautiful venue and so versatile – we had both our ceremony (downstairs) and our reception (upstairs) at the Dogwood and our guests flowed so easily b...
etween the two spaces (it’s the perfect venue for any wedding size, up to 150! We had ~115 people very comfortably). Wedding planning has a lot of decision-making and the Dogwood team helps simplify the process by including so many tasteful touches with the venue and catering contracts – black velvet chairs, trestle tables, seating vignettes throughout the space for your guests during cocktail hour and the reception, crystal glassware and gold flatware were all such wonderful details!
The Social Affair Catering is a part of the Dogwood family, so is the in-house catering company (the kitchen is onsite!), so you won’t need to find a caterer. And even better – they work with you to build out a custom menu, based on the couple’s favorite dishes. From the charcuterie spread and personalized cocktails for the couple during cocktail hour, to the trio of desserts and midnight snack, the food was all SO delcious.
The entire Dogwood team was truly so wonderful to work with! They really take a team-approach and made the entire wedding-planning process so easy. The team is very organized, was easy to communicate with (and readily available for a call or meeting!) and coordinated with all our vendors and perfectly executed everything we envisioned. The venue is beautiful and we can’t thank Ellie, Kelly and the whole team enough for the personal touches and making our day so special.
The Dogwood is extraordinary. The venue is stunning, the food was top notch, and the people are excellent. I would recommend to anyone for any event, especially wedding receptions!

es luxury vibes from the large marble bar to the stunning gold staircase. Kelly and her team went above and beyond for us during the big day to make sure everything ran smoothly. Our guests are still talking about how incredible the food was and that it was the best they have ever had at a wedding before. Get married here!!

llowed our wedding day, we’ve received so many compliments about the space and the food. All of those kind words only affirmed what we already knew: you cannot go wrong by staging an event at The Dogwood. The space itself is versatile, elegant, and suited to so many needs. Of course, the sweeping staircase is a true centerpiece of the ceremony and our photos, but a particular highlight for many of our guests was the second-floor terrace that allowed folks to step away from the dance floor, catch some fresh air, and admire the sweeping views of one of St. Louis’ iconic neighborhoods, The Grove. But the food may have been the top highlight of the night. Rightfully so. We’ve all attended weddings where the menu featured the standard chicken, fish, and vegetables. Kelly Spencer’s team at The Social Affair went above and beyond to curate a menu that was true to our tastes. They more or less read our minds! After attending a tasting event at the venue, we sat down with the team to talk about the foods that felt most important to us. From our ideas, The Social Affair turned around an entire menu full of perfect surprises for all tastes. And of course, every single item on the menu was absolutely delicious. Seriously. Months later, we continue to hear from guests who loved something they tasted at our wedding. That makes us feel good—and thankful that we were able to find such an extraordinary venue and catering team. We recommend them wholeheartedly for your special event. The folks there played a huge part in making our night so fun and meaningful, and we are so grateful.

ng and she was incredibly helpful and organized. She answered my questions and emails and was very timely in her responses as we got closer to the wedding. I know she also played a major role in getting everything set up and organizing vendors on the day of. Kelly was the main coordinator during the event and she was incredible. She was everywhere all at once- ensuring everything was getting set up, that things were moving along smoothly, and ensuring that we always had enough food and never an empty glass. She even stayed super calm and eased my worries during the tornado warning lol. I received so many comments from guests on how amazing the staff and bartenders were as well as how AMAZING the food was! The Social Affair is the exclusive caterer for the Dogwood and literally everything was 10/10 delicious. I received so many comments on how fantastic the food was and the variety of options they had was excellent. I could literally go on and on about how amazing The Dogwood was. If you’re considering having your event or wedding there, DO IT. The Dogwood truly was extraordinary, just as they promise!

ase was only the beginning of an incredible planning process leading up to what was ultimately an epic and truly unforgettable reception at The Dogwood. Kelly and her team at The Dogwood and The Social Affair were such a pleasure to work with. From the minute we picked our date they were attentive, responsive, helpful and best of all, fun. They met with us to coordinate all of our floor plans, decorations, and vendor needs. Kelly met with us personally to go over our entire menu from passed hors d'oeuvres and charcuterie, to an entire coursed menu for our guests. Her team worked tirelessly to bring together all of our vendors, coordinate them on the day, and set up the venue perfectly. They answered every panicked email we sent in record time and put us at such ease leading up to our reception. From start to finish they made our day effortless and special. Our guests were blown away with the venue and the food - we’ll cherish our night at The Dogwood forever.

We loved all of the decorative pieces and the modern elevated feel it offered. The food they catered tasted amazing as well. They had so many options for the reception and ceremony that it truly lets you tailor everything to what you want. They take great care of you and we can't say enough praises!

eco, a little glam and the Dogwood fit my wedding vibe perfectly. Kelly and her team go above and beyond to make sure that your needs/wants are met. They are extremely professional, attentive, creative, and overall extraordinary. My questions via email were answered usually within a day. We were able to visit the venue and meet with the team multiple times to help plan our dream wedding. On the day of, The Dogwood team worked closely with all our vendors to ensure the day went smoothly. Although I am sad that the day is over, I am so happy that I chose The Dogwood for my venue!!

ase provided a magnificent entrance for my beautiful daughter and was the backdrop for photos. There are many places to take unique and memorable pictures. We used the upstairs balcony to get a couples shot of them holding sparklers, leaning over the railing and many in front of the beautiful doors and on the staircase. Event manager, Jules, planner, Julia and owner, Kelly made this a seamless and
wonderful journey. Their attention to detail was outstanding and most appreciated on the day of.

and most creative people in the industry. If you’re considering The Dogwood/ The Social Affair, DO. IT. From the beginning, Kelly and Jules made us feel so welcomed and important even though they have so many other couples. Food was high on our priority list and they exceed our expectations! We went with the food stations and received so many compliments through out the night and still weeks later. There is footage of multiple people on the dance floor with their blueberry cobbler because they just couldn’t put it down. Kelly, Jules, Julia, and the rest of the team, thank you for going above and beyond. The day was truly EXTRAORDINARY!

They personalize the menu to each couple so it's fresh and new, and the food is dynamite. We had to postpone our original wedding (and move venues), and I think it all worked out for the better. Kelly and Jules made it fun to get excited again and then absolutely over delivered.
