We came in for the 49ers game and stayed here for 4 nights. First timers in California!! All the staff was very kind and helpful. The room was clean and modern. I especially liked the bathroom mirror for when I did my makeup. Unlike other revie...
wers, I got hot water rather quickly, quicker than I do at home. Plus my king size bed was very comfy and it had 5 pillows. I didn't have any issues getting a good night's sleep here. We had breakfast here every morning and they always had eggs, ham, and potatoes with choice of bread, waffles, fruit, yogurt, granola, berries etc. Not a fan of Keurigs but I drink a lot of coffee. One morning around 4:30am I found brewed coffee available in the lobby. The location was quiet with diverse dining options, including many different types of Asian cuisines. Also the drive is insanely beautiful going down Pacific coast highway, up to Muir Woods, and around SF. I would definitely stay here again for game day!

The hotel is beautiful and when you walk into the lobby the scents are amazing. Several sites started that they had bathrobes and hit tub. The hotel doesn't have either. I requested and paid for a balcony room. The room had cold hardwood floor...
s and no dresser. I had a Queen room with 2 beds. My daughter lifted up the corner sheet and there were stains on the mattress and as well as seeds in the pockets. I went down to the lobby and requested another room. This room was better but had to run the water in the tub to get hot water in the sink and then the hot water went cold! They offered a free breakfast but the potatoes and round eggs were cold. The 1st day they ran out of sausage patties and the half and half curdled my coffee which was warm. Took 20 or so to refill the sausage and people were running to get some
The 2nd day they ran out of bagels, went to the front desk and ask when they will be more. The clerk said in a minute, it took10 minutes later I saw staff and asked about fresh bagels, he said he would get more. The front desk never called the kitchen to let them know that they were out. Here's the kicker! When they bought fresh bagels they were Frozen!! Went to the front desk and ask the clerk "What are we to do with frozen bagels" He walked over and pointed to the toaster! Really!! Customer service sucks!!! The last issue was after a long drive we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant for happy hour. We ordered wings, fries and water. OMG! It took 30 minutes and the wings were freezer burned along with feathers attached! They were hard, burned and dry. I was going to complain then buty daughter said she will say something when we check out. Well the clerk said she would put something in the notes but her attitude said something different. We will Not be back, for the price you can get better rooms and caring staff. Room 326 to room 346.

The room was clean, well-organized, and had excellent blackout curtains — no morning light came in, which helped with sleep. The bed was soft with five pillows, and the bedside lamps had just the right brightness for nighttime use. Very comfort...
able in that sense.
However, housekeeping only took out trash, made the bed, and cleaned the floor. Towels weren’t replaced, and toiletries (shampoo, body wash, toilet paper) were never refilled. We stayed for 6 nights and never got another coffee cup after using one. Water pressure in the shower was very weak. Only a small bar of soap and moisturizer were provided — no other essentials.
Wi-Fi was slow, and soundproofing was poor. We could hear footsteps from upstairs loudly and conversations next door clearly. The free breakfast was disappointing: mostly cold, cheap items with limited options. If you arrive late, milk and fruit are usually gone.
Worst part: on checkout day (clearly marked as 12 PM), housekeeping aggressively knocked multiple times before noon. Then the housekeeping staff entered with a keycard while we were still inside — extremely unprofessional. After that, the housekeeping staff stood right outside our door, talking loudly on the phone for a while, which was disruptive and uncomfortable.
Some good aspects, but overall, disappointing service and poor attention to basic details.

Very disappointing for a 4-star hotel. The pillows smelled bad; although the staff offered a room change, we only took replacement pillows, and only two of them did not smell. The air conditioner was extremely loud, making it hard to sleep. All...
we wanted was a quiet, comfortable room, but that basic expectation was not met. Definitely not a true 4-star experience.

We stayed at The Domain Hotel from January 9–24 and had a very disappointing experience related to comfort, accommodations, and how concerns were handled.
My wife disclosed a hip injury that affects sleep. The room assigned had a Sleep Number ...
bed that caused significant discomfort and physical pain despite repeated adjustment attempts. We raised this issue multiple times over several days. At no point were we offered another comparable room, despite the hotel later claiming in writing that this option was provided. It was not.
Instead, a cot was offered, which worsened her condition and caused ongoing inflammation. This is not a reasonable substitute for a standard bed during a two-week paid stay.
Additionally, routine guest interactions were repeatedly escalated to multiple staff members at once, which felt unnecessary and intimidating—especially when other guests were assisted by a single staff member without escalation. Regardless of intent, this made us feel singled out rather than supported.
We spent approximately $1,800 and were among the longest-staying guests at the property. Despite this, our concerns were minimized, reframed as “wanting an upgrade” (which was never the case), and ultimately dismissed without resolution.
If you have accessibility needs or require a comfortable bed, a woman of color, proceed with caution. Based on our experience, this hotel was unwilling to provide reasonable alternatives or accountability when accommodations failed.
